My husband and I are both mature, 50-year old homeowners with no children (young or grown). We bought a new 47" Vizio LCD TV 18 months ago. We used the remote control on Monday night but then on Tuesday it wouldn't work. The on/off won't work, we can't change the channels. Only the volume and mute buttons work. So now we have a $1, 400 TV that we have to get up off the couch in order to turn it on or off and change the channels. (yes, we tried everything, including new batteries!) Well, we are looking at 37" TV's for our bedroom but unless Vizio FIXES our remote for FREE, we will never purchase another of their products. This is horrible for such an expensive item to break like this when we barely use it and we are two grown, responsible adults with never any children around.
