Tv turns off on own
Bought a Vizio 47" LCD tv for christmas this past year and now only seven months later it has started to turn itself off and reboot because, as I was told by Vizio the tv is not running at optimal performance. So every few minutes, the tv now turns off and reboots. When I contacted Vizio I was told that this was a known issue and they were working on the problem, however they did not know when the issue would be fixed. With additional discussion with the tech support person, we learned that our tv was turning off faster than it should even with this known issue. So we had to set up an appointment to have it fixed which would be anywhere from 5-8 days! So now I have a lovely wall decoration to look at while I wait for Vizio to maybe fix this issue with my tv! There customer service us awful and I will never buy another Vizio product again.

Bad tv
I bought this tv from walmart after reading CNET editor choice review. I paid delivery charges and when i tried to start this out of box new product it did not start. I have never seen anything like this in my life . A brand new product not working ...

I guess CNET editor's reviews are paid reviews ... VIZIO is smart to spend money on it because people trust on online reviews more than tv ads .

I called their tech support they don't know if the problem is in the TV or remote. the support guy was very rude . he is going to send me another remote after 10 days ... still waiting ... he told me to try with new remote (10 days waiting and still waiting ) after that he will judge if the problem is in the TV or remote.

I don't have a choice here, I also wrote to emails addresses available on their website but no response ...

CNET EDITORS I TRUSTED YOU BUT YOU ARE JUST LIKE ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL MEDIA .

I have never seen any product like this in my 60 yrs.

vizio lcd tv
Purchased 03-06-08 47 in lcd tv, within 2 years unit needed repairs, and now at this day 05-03-11 unit is making a buzzinghissing noise and the screen is very dark, contacted vizio, they can not do anything except try and sell me a "recertified" tv that is the same as what i already have! which has caused me anger and resentment of purchasing! I spent $1400.00 on a tv that has lasted 3 years which needed 2 repairs in that time span. And now it is unbearable to watch movies with the family! Something must be done! It is sad consumers are buying these tvs and they dont last! I dont know what to do!

SCAM
Our 42 inch Plasma Vizio went totally dead after eighteen months and naturally is out of warranty. Called Vizio repair and was put on hold. A woman came on line to take my information and said she needed my husband to fax an approval form to do the work and it would run $365. At first I was hesitant with this fee but said okay, we'll give Vizio a chance. WRONG. It broke in January and yesterday, March 15th a tech shows up and replaces several parts. Now the tv turns on at first but shuts off after three or four minutes so it is essentially worse and totally useless. Called Vizio and they said this was NOT done through them but another company, WHICH THEY CONNECTED US TO. All this time we thought we were talking to their repair place but they slyly connected us to someone else. Make no mistake, WE CALLED VIZIO, NOT this other company. They took our money and now say this is a problem and the money cannot be refunded. BIG SCAM! Had I known this I would have just thrown it out, which we will have to do, and bought a TV that works. Vizio is nothing but a scamming operation and there should be a class action suit brought against them. We are VICTIMS here and now we have no TV and no money to replace it. We are retired and money isn't that easy to come by. I am sick over this and feel something needs to be done to this company.

Black screen
I purchased a Vizio television April of 2008. Complete piece of junk now. I paid $1300.00 for this television and the screen blacks out. I would think that a tv should last longer than 2 years. I cannot even find anyone in my area to repair this piece of junk. I will not be purchasing another Vizio televsion. I have 2 more rooms that I would like to put tv's in and they will not be Vizio's.

Do not buy a Vizio
I also have a 32" Vizio that stopped working 1 month and a few days after warranty ended. No other television I have ever owned did that the all lasted over 10 years. What is Vizio doing programming there sets to quit after the warranty ends or are they just using cheep components.

Junk and they lie
Just wanted to let everyone know that this company has no customer service at all I had a 50 inch plasma the unit was covered under manufactures warranty. No response what a surprise.

Right from the start, This set had issues Deep Sleep with the inputs. It would power down randomly.

Then suddenly while me and 3 friends where wathcing a movie. We heard this

loud pop and the screen cracked on the inside and then all yellow with a loud humming noise. During my call with customer service the claimed it was misuse on my part and not covered under warranty? WTF is this.A HDTV the you misuse by watching a movie lollllll Do not buy a Vizio I wasted 1300 dollars on this POS.

Vizio VP322
I assume Vizio has no problem selling dysfunctional products that only work for 2 years if the consumer is lucky.

I have been pleased with my VP322 ever since the day I purchased it in June of 2008 and would have gladly purchased other Vizio products based on my experience with this television.

That is until recently...

My VP322 began to have trouble powering on, flickering on and off multiple times before displaying the proper image. This inevitably drove me to the Internet in search of a solution. To my surprise and ultimate anguish I discovered that this problem is common and wide ranging with multiple people reporting the exact same problem as I.

Luckily for me this cohort of fellow Vizio vp322 owners/sufferers have proved to be a vital resource for addressing this all too common fault which I have learned is to be blamed on the cheap-dare i say cost saving- capacitors that Vizio utilized in constructing the VP322's power board.

I take solace in the fact that with the help of fellow VP322 owners/sufferers I will be able to fix this product myself replacing Vizio's faulty capacitors.

I recommend Vizio conduct a basic google search of the VP322 and see for yourselves the multiple problems consumers have had with this product. I hope for the sake of the company's future that Vizio aims to limit problems such as these and avoid causing consumers such hardship and unneeded anguish.

I for one will never purchase another product made by Vizio again.
