lines in tv. Vizio did nothing
Just bought a 42 inch lcd tv by Vizio. Now one month later there are green lines on the screen.I called the 800 number on the warranty and he told me to do some test like shut off the tv for 30 seconds and then back on.The lines were still there. Now he tells me (while he holds the line )to go and get a dvd player to check another connection. I told him i do not own a dvd player.I order all my movies from my on demand i don't need a dvd player. So he says " i cannot put in a report for you because i won't hook up a dvd player.I told hom to just send a tech and let him hook up a dvd player and he says No i have to do it while he is on the phone.( How rediculus is that! Don't buy Vizoi! They will not help you.I called BJ's where i bought the tv and they told me that they would take care of it.It is passed thier 30 return policy. but they know how bad Vizio is so they said they would give me a refund to keep me as a customer happy.Thank-You BJ'S.

LCD TV
So I own a 26" LCD 720p VIZIO television. Have had for almost 3years. Won't turn on contacted Vizio just to be told to contact their TV repair people at ITI. After another long wait get of hold of someone to tell me what Vizio already told me. They want me to ship the TV to California and pay $150 to replace the power supply and get a 180 day warranty on what they fixed So im figuring around $200 plus however long it will take. Whats the point of getting it fixed when you can buy a new 26" Vizio on Amazon for $209.00 and get a full year warranty. Thought i would save some money have it repaired but apparently they can make them cheaper then they can fix them. How does that sound? backwards product is junk maybe. Don't get me wrong i loved this little flat panel and Vizio till all of this. I also went out on a limb and purchased this over a Samsung cause it was a better deal. So its my own fault but Never again only name brand products from here on out.

Pop of death
After 39 months my $1600 tv has experienced the pop of death. Really 3 1/2 years old and it died. I have had tvs for 20 years and actually threw it away because I wanted a flat screen HD and I would have been better off keeping it. I have never purchased an item for this amount of money and have it die so fast. Never again will I buy a Vizio. I have another vizio and I'm just waiting for it to have the same result. I purchased at Costco and of course they won't take back even though it is evidently defective. My next step is to write Costco headquarters

Quality & Customer Service
Had Vizio television for 10 months. Picture went out. Called customer service and after hassle of having to take pictures and email them to vizio, TWICE. The second time I made the tech stay on the phone while I emailed. I sent the TV back. No call for 2 weeks. Called Vizio, "Oh, they didn't call you?" TV non-repairable. "We have to replace it. " Two weeks later... no TV. Call customer service on Saturday. "That dept is not open on Saturday but I will call you Monday or Tuesday next week and let you know something" ... NO CALL... I call Wednesday, NO record of call I made two weeks into this and another promise to call and let me know something that day. NO CALL. The replacement TV was sent out and I received it 10/4/10. I didn't get to hook up the TV until today 10/8/10. The replacement TV is BAD!!

Product quality/customer service
I purchased a Vizio LCD TV in 2008. There are abnormal patterns on the TV and then it goes fuzzy and then eventually goes to black in a matter of 1-2 minutes. You have to turn off the TV and then turn it back on in order to attenot to get picture. I paid $950 for the television and it was defective within 2 years. That is completely unacceptable based on the statements that are listed on Vizio's website. The cable company has made 5 visits to my house over the past 6 months and they have assured me that the problem is not with the connection or the cable lines. Based on this experience, I will never purchase a product from Vizio again. And the main reason is not because of the TV; it is because I had to jump through hoops to speak to someone who could help me. At one point, one representative was very rude and loud with me. Another time, a manager failed to call me back in 48 hours as he had promised me. This all added to my grief and frustration. Finally, I recei
ved a call from Sabrina V., who tried her best to help me, but the people who work above her did not gain my trust or relieve my frustration.
I feel cheated by Vizio. Not only did I spend $950 on a TV that doesn’t work properly, I also cannot sell it to get back some of the money due to its defective condition.
Since corporate Vizio could not accomodate me, as I stated to them in an email, I am writing a complaint about all I went through in the past 6 weeks with this new company.
One corporate rep, Sabrina V., was able to talk to her colleagues and offer me a refurbished TV but I declined because I could purchae a brand new one in the stores for the same price! Therefore, by not putting the customer first, Vizio has lost a customer and I will share my expriences with others as well. I don't want others to go through what I did.

TV went out in 18 months
I purchased a Vizio TV for $1, 000 about 18 months ago. The backlight has went out and we were told by Vizio that this could not be fixed and we had to buy a new TV. They refuse to compensate us in anyway. The TV is going to cost $325 to repair. We will never buy a Vizio again and will tell as many people as we can not to buy one either.

junk sets
After 1year and 9 months the Vizio that I paid 999.00 for stopped working. The repair options were no option.I will not pay another dime on another Vizio anything. And to have to pay 400.00 dollars to have someone come to my house is crazy. Then I was told that I just got a bad TV and that this does not happen all the time. Ya right. stay away from any Vizio product, if you like your money

Stay away
Bought this HDTV in Dec. 2009. In January I had a problem with the remote. After some haggling, the remote was replaced for free. In March, the TV stopped functioning. It turns out that the warranty excludes anything that has to do with power surges (there had not been one). On that ground, the warranty claim was rejected, and I was given two options: either have an onsite visit, which, including repairs, would have cost $400, or shipping the TV to California, for a cost of $250 plus shipping charges.
I bought a larger HDTV (not VIZIO) for $500, and I shall never consider VIZIO products again.

Terrible service
I bought a 32 inch Vizio Plasma HDTV 18 months ago and until recently it worked fine. Then it became harder and harder to power on. It would take as many as 20 tries to power up. Although my warranty was up I was offered a one time in home repair. After 10 customer and support reps nothing has been done. I have been asked to fax my proof of purchase, which I was smart enough to keep, 5 times. Each time they claim that they never got it, even though each fax was confirmed. Now the tv will not power on at all. I have recently read many reviews that described the same or similar problems. I have not gotten anywhere near the service that I should have from this product. I also read that even with the extended warranty, service is still terrible. I will never ever buy another Vizio anything even if this is somehow resolved.

47 lcd hdtv
Purchased a 47 lcd hdtv flat screen in 02/08/10 from walmart! had owned it for 4-5 months and purchased a 2 year plan of insurance as well.well anyway just a few days ago i came home and notice that my tv was flipped over face down on the ground and complete removed off of my entertainment center ! I observed it and notice that the base of the tv was very lose and almost ready to separate itself from the main screen that it is connected to.So i then called and made a claim with vizio and sent 10 or maybe more pictures of the item (vizio) tv so that they may review see what i was explaining about ! Well the didnt call me back for a few days and called once again and contact help and they told me that it wouldn't be able to replace it with the extended insurance plan i purchased for 2 full yrs.! I then called to contact the customer care plan toll free number that i recieved at the time of the purchase date, and did the same and explained to them to them ! they called me later that same day and said the same thing that they will not cover it and not be able to replace it for a new one as well! I know for a fact the extend and enhance manufactor warranty say's that they cover defects in materials and workmanship! So i dont see any reason other then that happening to and item that cost me over a total of $1, 197 dollars and also paid for 2 yr. insurance coverage plan for the amount of $79.00 dollar is in no way hell im going to back down and not make an effort to be reimbursed for something that much! please, i ask for some help or some kind of support on finding a way to settle this issue i have with a product manufactured BY VIZIO CO. Thank you very much!
