I have always made candied dill pickles using Mt. Olive hamburger dell chips. I drain pickles, rinse and add sugar and vinegar and pickling spices. They come out very crisp and sweet with a little hint of dill in the back ground...Imagine my chagrine when I decided to splurge and buy 2 Gallons of Vlassic Dill Crinkle Cut Chips and instead of coming out wonderfully Crisp, they were soft and uninviting...
