I purchased a VM prepaid phone for my 11 yr. old child 2007 and everything seemed to be just fine until I decided to put my child on a monthly plan. So I switched his plan via internet (6/19/08) and that night he used the plan a total of 10 minutes. The next morning he wanted to go back to prepay because he felt that the plan was too much money and he does not use his phone too much.
So I went online the next morning 6/20/08 to switch his plane to a higher prepay account and the next step was payment for the plan; so I called VM to see if the balance of the monthly plan could be transferred and the rep. (Mary) stated that I lost my money and that their was nothing that she could do if I wanted to I could pay again to add minutes to his plan.
No where while on hold does VM tell you that if you switch your plan do they keep your money they do tell you that you can switch at any time. So I asked for a manager to see if they could help me transfer my balance of $49.99 over to the prepay plan and I was told that it was out of her means of management to contact the headquarters in Warren, NJ to see if they could help me.
I would like to let my VM members that I know to drop VM!!! They do not work with their loyal customers and their prices and customer service are useless!!
Signed,
A very disappointed former customer.
