After having dish for 18 months , they added a charge of $6 per month for their Digital home protection Plan. I had signed up 18 months earlier and my contract with them says " You'll receive your dish network equipment, the appropriate plan programming package and a LIFETIME WARRANTY from dish network. LIFETIME WARRANTY refers to our Digital Home Protection Plan, which is included free with a minimum 18 month commitment."
Now they say the warranty only refers to their equipment. If I want to continue their home protection plan, I will have to pay by the month. I feel they are misleading me and breaking our contract. I feel that it clearly states otherwise. As of today I have launched a complaint with the F.C.C., the F.T.C. and the California Consumers Protection Agency. We can only hope somebody takes them to task for scamming their customers.
