Bad Service
I took my 2 cell phones for repair. The 1st time round I got a message that these were repaired, then I collected them. Getting home I realised that the U900 was not repaired as the speaker was still non-functional. I took this back the following week & it was booked-in again. A day or 2 after I received a message stating that my phone is not repairable. I called in to find out & they said-WATER DAMAGE-what water damage all of a sudden because there was no water damage before & by the way this was not reported when I collected the phone previously? When I went there to find out, the repair rep told me the same WATER DAMAGE story before checking the cause & after. On posing questions, I was told that in a week a lot of things could have happened. Million Dollar question to her: What can one do with a non-functional phone that it should extract water? Well she said: Should I call the manager for you? Obviously I would love to see him/her & understand. When he got there he told me the same story & that he personally worked on this phone this time round-convenient & I asked if it was repaired the 1st time & he's not sure of that. Where's the truth then - Did they damage it? Who knows???

Appalling Service
I went into the Vodacom/Vodacare shop in Witbank Highveld Mall to place an order on a back cover for my Sony Ericsson C902. This was about 2 months ago now. I have had no phone call to let me know of the status of the order or to let me know they had ordered it. I have then been into the shop every week to see why it is taking so long, all the consultants can tell me is it has been ordered, they don't know when they will receive it. And i must just be happy with that. They are honestly not very interested in offering their client a service that i am paying hundres of rands a months to receive. They couldn't be bothered following up on the order or anything. They keep saying i must just wait. They could at least phone the supplier themselves and get an update and then keep me informed. That's what a customer care service is all about. I am terribly upset and disgusted about how i've been treated, and will not recommend them to anyone.

Repair of cellphone only got half a phone back
Aan wie dit mag aangaan

Ek het my selfoon, ‘n HTC by Menlyn vodacare op 20 Februarie 2009 ingegee omdat dit probleme gee deurdat dit dikwels vries en dan wil dit glad nie werk nie. Ek het op dieselfde dag ‘n sms gekry wat lui: ‘ Job number 448509 has been sent to a higher level repair centre. You will be notified when it is returned and ready for colletion’

Groot was my verbasing dat ek nie my volledige foon terugkry nie.

Ek is uiters geskok en terleurgesteld hoe ek as klient hanteer was.

telephone repair
On the 6th January 2009 I took my 2 and a half year old Palm Treo 650 to the Vaodacre shop at Paarl Mall for non warranty repairs. The telephone function on my phone would not activate / switch on. I received no rceipt or confirmation that the phone had been handed in to the Vodashop. The next day - 7th Jan. I contacted by Vodacare Tygelvalley and informed via SMS that my phone would be sent to Jo'Burg for the neccesary repairs. I phoned them for confirmation which was forwarded to me immediately by Janine via an e-mail. On 23 Jan I was notified by SMS that my phone had been repaired and was ready for collection at Paarl Mall. I collected the phone from them on Monday 26 Jan and paid the repair charge of R799.00. The phone would not switch on when I collected it from the Vodashop and it appeared that it needed to be charged. I took it home and charged it overnite, but the next morning the phone would not work either ! I immediately returned the phone to Vodashop. On 16 February I tried in vain at both Vodacare in Tygervalley and Vodashop Paarl Mall to ascertain when my phone would be ready. without any sucsess. I encountered a really disturbing " could not care less" attitude at Tygervalley Vodacare ! When I informed them that I would persue the matter further, I was told that I should go ahead ! The staff at Vadashop in Paar Mall - Lerisha - did not bother to return my call after promising to investigate the matter and getting back to me. To recap, the current siduation therefore is the following : My phone was handed in for repairs on the 6th of January 2009. The repairs were purported to have been completed on the the 23rd Jan. The repair bill was settled, in full on 26 Jan. On the 17th of February 2009 - 6 weeks down the line ! - I am still waiting for my phone to be repaired and no one seems to able, or interested in informing me as to how much longer this could take ! This attitude seems to me smack of monopolistic, corporate disintrest ! I do however beleive that my rights have been compromised. How can you charge someone for a repair that was not properly done !
