Dropped calls and connection failure
My number has been dropping calls for over a year, as a result of this my phone bill has gone up by one third. I get crossed lines, dropped calls, connection failures, and no response from the vodacom service provider. I received an sms to say the problem had been fixed - I was and still am having problems and reported them again. The network department are useless - dont return calls and so is the compensation department! You can never get anyone senior to call you back and vodacom customer service keep passing the buck! I want this problem resolved!

Vodacom Networks do not exist most of the time
You guys are being paid for a service which you dont provide, and yet the clients must keep on paying for a network which is either down or so slow that it is non existend. Please check your towers or do something about the bad signal and no networks in the pretoria northen area.

Never again will I deal with Vodacom
Vodacom, look at this website, in the last 365 days 6027 complaints vs 660 compliments, DOES THIS NOT TELL YOU ANYTHING!!! Your 3G internet connectivity is an absolute joke!! You lock customers into signing 2 year contracts, don't deliver on your service and when one chooses to opt out, is expected to pay for the remaining duration of the contract. You guys are the biggest shysters on the planet, just remember what comes around goes around.

Not impressed with the inconsistency of advise
I'm very fond of Vodacom being my choice. I have been happy and still am, but was dissapointed this week. Started this week when trying to redeem my talking points I discovered my prepaid was changed to one that does not allow for such, without my knowledge. Later was indicated they were having problems with that. Which in all fairness understandable. Today (0804) purchased a R29 airtime voucher and tried loading it. After a few attempts was unsuccesful, then opted to call the service #. The first lady I spoke with (Promise), gave me an indication that on the system it indicated that it is still processing and to check after an hour or so. I took her advise then did so, to no avail. Called again 2 hours later to still understand what the problem might be. following consultant (Vusi), told him of the situation and exact details, he suggests I call 5151 to still check my balance, or switch off my phone to reset. I further ask him if that doesn't work what should I do then? He says try that, if I'm to call I'd be told the same thing. So I attempted, still nothing. Called again, told this time its sim which I don't understand how if all other app work such as internet brouser...

Extra Costs After Contract Ended
In 2007 I signed-up for a 36 month contract with Vodacom. The contract was for a mymeg500 + Laptop, which I later changed to a mymeg2000. 3 years later, my contracted ended and Vodacom decided to charge me an extra R3 826.97 for what they say is money I still owed on the laptop. I have spoken to Vodacom countless times and they still can't explain to me why I have to pay this amount, if the laptop cost was suppose to have been part of the contract. There is times I even have been told that this amount was for extra usage, which is also impossible since I had a limit on my data package. Then, a few months ago I went to Vodacom and was told that according to their system I only paid for 2 years.
Today I was sent a statement that I got from a lady in the legal department, dated back to 2006 (when I had a cellphone contract). Going through the statement, I noticed the amount of R3 826.97 that they invoiced, but still no indication of where this amount came from.
I wish I could deal with one person only, who is friendly and willing to get to the bottom of my problem. Every time I have to speak to a different person and everyone tells me a different story.

I haven't been able to make calls since Saturday
1. I've been double-billed with no reimbursement as yet even tho the problem was identified last Oct. I was paying 2 Blackberry subscriptions
2. I havent been able to make calls from my contract number since saturday(342010). I called customer care on saturday and an automated message said there was a problem with certain numbers not being able to make calls. I called back on Sunday, 4410 - a consultant told me tht the call had been logged. I received a call from a consultant the following the day - Monday 542010 - i still couldnt make calls and the consultant could not fix the problem. Woke up on Tuesday 6410 to my Blackberry Storm going completely dead after i tried to restart after still not being able to make calls. Visited Menlyn vodacare where was phone was taken in for repairs. Spoke to a consultant there who also could not help me make calls - she logged another query. spoke to a consultant today around 11.35am - consultant told me to switch my phone off and try again - still cant make any calls and the consultant has not called back as promised! I'm getting very frustrated as i need to make important calls and vodacom is not responding adequately to my problem.

I can't get my phone reconnected
I had a gap contract with vodacom 2 years ago. AFter the 2 years, my gap contract was supposed to end - it had no limit btw. When I went to upgrade my contract, there was no problems, they signed my phone over. AFter 6 weeks, my phone was blocked. I went to the store in Cape Gate who told me I was placed on a gap contract with a limit (without my knowledge). They gave me the accounts department nr. I tried to phone them - I kept getting disconnected or put through to customer care, who could not help me. When I eventually spoke to the accounts dept, they told me they would reconnect the phone immedialty and pay my R500 deposit back within 7 days. My phone is not connected yet after 26 hours. I tried calling the accounts dept again - but had the same problem. My calls do not go through to the accounts dept, I keep getting customer care or getting disconnected. The customer care consultant also informed me my contract has no limit, but the phone was cut off because I 'reached my limit'.

R11o airtime gone in less than 5 minutes
On the 29th of January @ 18:19 my boyfriend bought R110 Vodacom airtime for his 3G card for his USB modem. He then punched in the airtime & did not convert the airtime into a data bundle and also didn't use the USB modem for the entire day. Then yesterday, 30th of January 2011, we wanted to go onto the Internet, we then connected to the Internet, & he check his email for not evens 3 minutes. I then asked him if he converted his airtime into data bundles, he said no & when I wanted to convert his airtime into data bundles, we were notified that there is no airtime on the sim & that the balance is R0.00. We then phoned customer care & were told that the time we check his email, our airtime was used. The lady (not sure her name) but we made the phone call at past 11 the evening, was so rude and came up with more excuses than anything else, ready to pass the buck instead of explaining. Also how can R110 airtime disappear in less than 3 minutes? Impossible!!! Or is Vodacom a big Cheat.

Poor repair work
I've sent my phone in on 29 October 2010 while it was under warranty because the phone freeze and went on silent mode by itself for no reason. I received my phone back and they said that they had to replace the LCD screen. My phone had to be booked in again because they broke the front cover of my phone. When I received my phone back the second time the cover was still not fixed but they replaced a pc board which tells me they did not read the job card because the job card said nothing about a pc board but only the front cover, the phone was booked in for a third time pending on an investigation and decided to replace the cover but I received my phone back the third time with the cover still broken. My phone has now been booked in for a fourth time pending on another investigation and they want to tell me it is a problem that my phone is no longer under warranty. I'm a business man and I'm losing business without my phone because Vodacom have my phone for 3months now and can't give me a lone phone of the same calibre. Furthermore the staff at Vodacare Westgate including the Manager and Assistant Manager treats you with no respect and can’t keep to their promises.
