Porn being sent to me as well harassing smses
I am pleading with Vodacom to please block a certain cell no from my phone as i am receiving porn as well as harrasing smses. I have been to the police station and completed the nes documentation. It is now becoming to much and out of hand, I do queston the mere fact that the service provider Vodacom can allo such appauling messages to go through their data base. This is not the first time i have called in to complain and i question the mere fact of how may porn is being sent via your database. The person involved is using your service and he is a contract subsriber, and i will go as far as i have to to get this sms'es as well as tel calls to stop, should you the Provider not do anything about it. I was told to change my cell no and i refuse to do so as it is now the 7th time that i have changed my cell no. I am crying out that someone at Vodacom do something about this as it is unethichal. I question your integrity as a service provider cause how many of these porn has been sent from this person no using your database to send it around. It is horrific to see that someone can stoop so low. PLEASE BAR HIS SMES AS WELL AS CALLS IMMEDIATELY.

Charger not working for 6 months
I got a Acer Laptop through vodacom with a 3g package. For the last 6 months the charger has not been working. When it originally stopped working i called vodacom and they referred me to BBG Technologies who handles all their Laptop repairs etc. I spoke to Ricardo Sasman, explained everything to him, he checked and found out that it was under warranty (36months) and that he'll send me an email to fill out a form so he could have a replacement charger sent. I did that immediately and sent it through to him. 2 weeks later i emailed him asking whats happening, no reply. Its now been 6 months since i lodged the complaint and still no replacement. I have had to use insulation tape to entwine the cable to get it working temporarily as i use my laptop daily for work and cannot go for so long without a charger. This is dangerous, but what choice do i have? run my business to the ground, or risk electrocution to keep working.

Vodacom are so quick to suspend your line and harass you with phhone calls if your acc is unpaid for a few days, yet are happy to spend months through their suppliers to fix their responsibilities.

Vodacom not taking responsibility
I purchased a Blackberry 8900 on a contract with Vodacom - Fourways on 27012010. 2weeks ago the phone just switched off as i was trying to accept a call. It later switched itself back on but the scrolling ball was not working at all & a few hours later the screen went blank. When I took it to the Vodacare in Fourways Mall they told me that the LCD screen had cracked and I’d have to pay for the repairs (R2900) because the screen was not covered on the warranty. I was told that a fall or hard pressure was the cause of the screen breaking. The fact that the scroll stopped working first was completely ignored by Vodacare. I am extremely unhappy, to say the least because of the following reason: 1 - I shouldn’t be held accountable to pay for repairs because I haven’t dropped or exerted hard pressure on the phone at any stage. The fact that the scroll stopped working 1st says something. Blackberry cannot explain to me why BOTH the scroll & screen suddenly stopped working, to me that says that the phone i recieved was faulty & Blackberry needs to take responsibility! 2- The service that I received from Vodacare Fourways was absolutely appalling, I was shocked from my experience.

Unable and unwilling to block unknown calls
My phone is being spammed by calls from unknown numbers and Vodacom is 'unable to keep track of the numbers of incoming calls to my number and we are unable to block calls of unknown numbers. The only option is to report the issue to the police or block the number if you know it'. What a load of bull.

I will report this to the police since Vodacom is breaching my privacy. I am disgusted by your attitude of not giving a hell of what happens on YOUR network or clients.

So please help me or I will take steps against you. I'm really an unsatisfied customer at this point.

Take no notice of complaints
Vodacom - Have a read of the complaint below and tell me what is wrong with your response.

You lot don't bother to read the complaints - it looks like you have a canned response to any complaints.

Its a joke

Lets not blame POOR service, cause there is none
On Tuesday, 02 March 2010, myself and my colleagues received confirmation of Package upgrades on corporate phones. On friday, 05 March 2010, I contacted the call centre and spoke to a gentleman who said that my phone was dispatched but could not see all the info and said I must wait. On Thursday, 11 March 2010, phoned again and spoke to PATTY, after a lengthly cal of 13 minutes, she said that she would phone back in 15 minutes. NO CALL!!! On Friday, 12 March 2010, I called again and spoke to a lady, she said that she would transfer the call to PATTY, and whilst waiting the line dropped. Although she had taken ALL my info to transfer the call to PATTY, no-one from Vodacom did the effort to call me back.

This is a Corporate account, and surely you consider the business as important. I have had no feedback about my upgraded handset and there are three of my colleagues who are also waiting for some-one at VODACOM to catch a wake-up. This is not how you deliver service guys, I do not make a habit of doing things like this, but there is absolutely no service to brag about!

Vodacom 3G performance is unacceptable
I have had a 3G ontract with Vodacom for 2 and a half years. Initially the reception wasn't great in Kensington, and after logging a call, adjustments were made at the base station and it was better. However, since late 2009 the 3G reception has been appalling. I get 1 'bar' on 3G and never HSUPA (which I pay extra for). The connection drops all the time, and I am finding working from home unacceptable. It's quicker to sit in traffic for 90 minutes each way and send and receive emails on my corporate network!

I logged a call with the Vodacom Data Call Centre on the 18th January 2010. I have called several times since then but have been unable to get any feedback on progress. No-one calls me with updates - and the Call Centre is just a barrier.

So, 2 months since I logged the call I am still waiting for any progress. Initially they told me it could take 21 days - and I thought that was too long! In the meantime they are still taking my debit order every month! While logged onto this session I have lost connection 3 times!

Can anyone recommend an alternate provider of 3G in Kensington that works? I will cancel with Vodacom gladly.

Last 3 days have consisted of my voicemail not working, saying, 'this service is temporarily unavailable
Vodacom, SERIOUSLY!!! If I paid YOU for time spent WITH signal and 3G, I would be the richest man in SA and my phone account the lowest. The last 3 days have consisted of my voicemail not working, saying, 'this service is temporarily unavailable' COME ON!!! I nearly lost a big client due to the fact that I could not retrieve my voicemail! When I'm unemployed, are you Fat Cats going to employ me??? Didn't think so. Your 3G signal is a flipping joke!!! It works when it wants to then decides that I have worked hard enough and disconnects ITSELF. I do appreciate the fact that my 3G cares that I work so hard and tells me that I need a break before I launch my cellphone, 3G card and laptop off the 5 floor of our office block.

I PAY YOU for a service I DO NOT get! Isn't that theft? And DON'T get some lady from Customer Care to call me and tell me that you are upgrading this and that using the bio-thingymabob via the routedwatchamacallits using the optimal phase of the moon as it rises over URANUS! Just fix the problem or give me back my money for the times that I have not been able to use your ****** network!! I am sick and tired of putting up Vodacom's incompetence!!!

Refuse to replace unactivated stolen vouchers
My fiance received vouchers with his new contract. We were told it only takes 24 hours to activate cards. After two days we went to Game to use them but was told they were still not activated. We phoned the lady at the shop and was told they will be activated. After three weeks and our third visit to Game only to be told that the cards are not activated, we went back to Cell shack to sort this out. She apologized and said she will do it right away. On Saturday 21 November 2009 my fiance was robbed with 2 of the vouchers( R100 & R1000 worth) still in his wallet seeing as we where going to Game AGAIN on that Sunday. After the robbery we phoned Vodacom immediately to cancel the cards. We were told that the cards were STILL not activated. I spoke to the lady at Cell shack and was told that Vodacom does not refund or reimburse vouchers. If they were activated I would understand but these cards were USELESS, only a piece of plastic so to speak. After two months all I was told is that Vodacom does not refund or reimburse vouchers. Vodacom did not loose a cent because the cards did not even work and this was part of new contract package. Is that not fraud???
