Smses haven't delivered for weeks
Recently I have noticed that NONE of the messages I send reach my family members even though vodacom has charged me for each sms. I send several smses abroad as well as within South Africa. Over the last 2 weeks I have spend roughly R40 - R60 worth of airtime on smses that have not reached. I don't know ow long this has been happening but I am aware that it has been a problem for the last 2 weeks.
I proceeded to phone vodacom customer care on '111', spoke to a very nice lady who put my complaint through immediately (kudos to her). But within a day I received this message from vodacom: 'Dear Customer, you are charged for sending a message(using the service) and not for the delivery of the message. Delivery of an SMS message depends on the availability of the recipient. Kind Regards, Vodacom'
This however is non scene, because why can I send the same message from another phone to the same number and it goes though, the recipient is available then.
Either way, would like some proof that I am getting for what I pay for, and if the service was not delivered I sure as hell would like to get my money back. Send me some proof vodacom! If you can't do that, send me my money back.

Call centre that does'nt answer any calls
I ordered a phone from Vodacom Direct. The Sales consultant(Kgomotso) advised me that the phone he recommends was a perfect business phone for me. I had stressed to him that I needed a business phone because the Black Berry I have was giving me problems and I wanted to change back to Nokia. He recommended a Nokia 5800. This is not a business phone but a pour music phone. I then requested that they take back the phone and give me Nokia E75.
I have been waiting for theN75 phone for over a month. No one ever communicate with me. I kept on e-mailing the consultant to get an update. No sufficient feedback was ever given to me. I have been debited twice and I don't understand why. Not one is able to give ANY reasons. I have attempted to call the Vodacom Direct(0821959082 1955) line for hours EVERY day and no one ever PICK UP the phone. I ended up driving to VodaWorld hoping to get answers and I was told I could not speak to the consultants in person, I could only call the number.
why does vodacom sell phones directly if they can not service customers properly. its now the second month, i'm going to be debited yet again for a phone I dont have.

Why does vodacom advertise when they have no stock
I was told that vadacom was the best to take out a contract with. Upon filling the required forms and submitting i was told this was approved and when the sales consultant looked for the phone he was told there is no stock. so he told me i can have it about a week later. A week later when i called i was told that stock is still not available This is absolute nonsense. Why does vodacom advertise when they have no stock? I have given them my banking details now i have concidered going to another service provider who does things the correct way how do i know my details will be secure. I am very disappointed in Vodacom. I have always told people that i enjoyed having vodacom network and they should try it. But now i think i have to state otherwise. The service at vodacom is pathetic.

Sending me sms at 2am in the morning
Why again... why do you insist in sms'ing me at 2am... in the wee hours of the morning... I remember commenting about this bad practice of yours last year.. and yet again you do it.. for the past two month, I have been receiving your notification sms's at around 2am... waking me up... I have asked you gys to stop send sms'es to me when i am asleep... I do not need to know at 2am that i have used x% of my data bundle... surly that can wait till the morning... SO again PLEASE STOP SENDING ME SMS's WHEN I AM ASLEEP... I DO NOT WISH TO BE AWAKEN TO READ YOUR USELESS NOTIFICATIONS...

Vodacom has such bad service I wished I stayed with my previous network
Ever since I ported to the Vodacom network, I've had endless problems that eventually were fixed - so I bared inconvenience but I've just had enough.
I still can't access the Internet with my phone. I called Customer Care to report my problem and the agent didn't know what to do - in fact she was somewhat rude and uncooperative asking me what I'd like her to do about my problem... I suppose fixing my problem didn't seem obvious?
I have the settings, my phone works, but on a web connect I get the error that the data packet isn't available and that it's a temporarily network problem -- for a week! I did connect once before but not since then. Vodacom has such bad service I wished I stayed with my previous network!

Out of stock again
First it was the N95, then the HTC P4350, now the new Blackberry 8520. In about two years, this will be the third time I am being told that there's no stock. I phoned 8 Vodashops yesterday, and was eventually told by the upgrade department that there will be stock available today. I now phoned, and am told that all the stock has already been allocated, and that I'll have to wait for the next shipment beginning of next month. Last night I again saw the add for the Blackberry. How can you advertise something you have no stock of?! The Blackberry, the iPhone, the Samsung Star, and more. All popular phones, that you're advertising, that you have(had) no stock of. Plan better, or stop the false advertising. I was planning on cancelling the contract, but the Blackberry deal convinced me otherwise. Seeing as there's no blackberry, I guess my mind's been made up for me. If I still wanted to upgrade, I'd have to pay now, and then wait until you eventually have stock, which could take weeks. That's ridiculous.

Impossible to contact Vodacom Direct
It seems it is impossible to contact Vodacom Direct via their call centre, email or by leaving numerous 'call me' messages on their website. I have been trying to contact them for three days regarding a new contract order. Do they actually exist? I even tried to call at 8am as their call centre opens, I held on for 17 minutes. No call centre can be that busy at 8am.
Am I going to get a response and will I actually get the phone I ordered or do I go directly to a Vodacom Shop and order my phone there? There will definitely be less stress, and judging by other complaints on Hellopeter I won't have to wait 3 weeks to a month for my phone. Vodacom Direct website promises I will get feedback within 48 hours and my phone within 4 days. It seems all their promises are empty. Please will someone from Vodacom Direct respond AND DELIVER on their promises.

I tried to open a Vodacom contract but am unable to as I do not have a credit history
I tried to open a Vodacom contract but am unable to as I do not have a credit history. There is no consideration taken of each applicants situation. I do not have a credit history as do not have any accounts at shops(as would rather just pay by cash). I showed my 3 months bank statements which shows that I do not have a cash flow problem and have the money to pay for the phone account. I showed my payslips, but this did not help. I even said that they could cap my cell phone bill or my parents would go surety but I still could not get a phone contract!
