Query of billing on internet
I received an account of R 39 010.10 from Vodacom for my 3G internet connection. I have only ever paid the maximum of R241.00 per month over the last 2 years for this connection. I have been a victim of fraud as the computer I bought had illegal software downloaded onto it which allowed peer to peer sharing that I was not aware of. I really want to know whether Vodacom had any obligation to call me and let me know that my account was reaching such an astronomical amount?

Bad network
In March I moved into a comlex in Brentwood Park Benoni Auret Street, since then I have a network problem, and its not only me its my kids as well they all are on vodacom, apparently as per other residents in the complex this has been a problem since they moved in, I stayed 2km's down the street and never had a problem for 2 years. When you phone Vodacom they first want to blame the phone I am using and then the say get names and phone another numbers of other people who has this problem. Why should we use a network that cant be reliable maybe going to 8ta is not such a bad idea after all at least they provide service and do not ask their customers to solve their network problems!!!

Bad Service
On the 24 November 2010 we entered into a contract (IC0891885) with Vodacom on a special deal they had on the BlackBerry phones. This was a R99 per month package on a weekender plus. To upgrade to a better BlackBerry we paid in an additional R699 on the same package. Now I’m paying R240 per month for the contract alone, I’ve been to the store in Carnival Mall in Brakpan, NO HELP, absolute poor service. I called the call centre no help, I called accounts no help, I called there legal department no help. My issue is when I walked out of the store I had a legal contract, who gave them the right to change the contract without consulting me. If I default in any way what so ever I will be blacklisted and legal action will be taken, now I have to approach lawyers that will cost me a fortune to fix their piss poor service.

Failure to deliver
A few months back I accompanied a freind into a vodacom shop to sign a deal on a special vodacom was running, On entering the the sales lady offers us a deal which we cannot resist: `Hp Compaq Presario CQ56 Laptop(valued at R5000) with an Huwaei Data Stick(valued at R850) and a Puma Phone (valued at R3600) for R135 per month for two years. The offer is truly irresistable so I decide to sighn a contract. `
After I am checked out for credit worthiness and the rest of the procedures are complete I am informed that the Puma phone will only be in-stock in one weeks time, They give me the LAptop and the Data Stick.
It has been 3 months and Vodacom has still not given me the phone? so i call them and they inform me that the phone I signed for is out of stock, they want to replace it with a phone ( which cost R869).
The difference in price is R2800 I tell them that I will only accept a Phone close to the value of the Phone which I signed for the Manager refuses.
I know what I am going to do :-) Sue the fools

Bad service
Two weeks ago I had to get a SIM swap for my microsim. I was assured it would be processed in 24 hours. Guess what... it wasn't.
So I contact what we euphamistically call the 'support desk', and they tell me it was not processed properly and I have to go in to a store and do it again.
This is not the first time Vodacom has done this to me.
As this is THEIR mistake, not mine, it is up to Vodacom to fix this problem.
Do they really think it is okay for a paying customer to have to spend time and money to fix their mistake? Who the hell does vodacom think they are?

Am I on funny people??
I actually cannot believe that a company can offer such dismal customer service and still be in business. All I wanted was my contract cell number converted to a prepaid number at the end of my contract.
I went to Vodaworld, filled in forms and was told it takes a couple of days to reactivate it. Well, I am 9 days down the line, have tried calling them for three hours at a time- getting fobbed off, put on hold for up to 15 minutes at a time, cut off, given many numbers to call, have had assurances from customer care consultants that they would personally solve the problem and guess what? My number remains deleted. Today I was told that an activation request had been sent through as at todays date. Funny thing, I was told exactly the same thing on Monday. I called and asked for the CEO by name, sat on hold for 10minutes and got put through to a dear lady at something called "play more golf" who had nothing to do with cell phones. I called back and got put through to accounts and thereafter some halfwitted customer care consultant who couldn't stop giggling. What an apathetic circus!!!

Signal issues
Hi there... I, along with many others in the upper Highway area of Kloof, Gillitts and Hillcrest and the general public whom i deal with daily, have all complained about the fact that there is never signal from Vodacom. Ive even gone to the extent of putting my sim card in another phone to eliminate that, but i continually drop calls ALL day, EVERYDAY! I thought we are paying for a service, yet everytime i drop a call and have to phone back, im getting charged again instead of per minute, and it all adds up. If this continues, i will move across to another cell phone service provider.

No matter what phone u have still network problems with voadacom yet those who have mtn are able to get reception in the area. So fed up .
