Illegal Migration & No feedback to solve problem!
I contacted Vodacom on 15 December requesting a contract migration. After I received the quote I saw I will lose all my free minutes and phoned Vodacom on 16 December to cancel the migration - and confirmed with the consultant that it SHOULD NOT BE DONE. I contacted Vodacom on 20/01 after receiving my statement reflecting the new package I DID NOT ask for REF s2/DZW19/980LG. Called again on 21/01/2011 REF: 181651179, on 26/01 REF: s2/DZX2D-DPJM6 and 18437850 and on 22/02 I contacted Ntombi REF: s2/D2Q3K/K27GN. Ntombi listened to the call on 16 Decemeber and confirmed that I did inform the consultant that I am not interested in the migration. She referred the query to the Accounts Billing Division which were suppose to call me back withing 24 working hours. To date I have had no response.

Signal
For the last 3 days there has been no signal in richmond, When i do get hold of vodacom customer service to log a fault they say it is my cell phone that is at fault not them, but that is very funny cause the hole of richmond is having the same problem no signal, I pay my bill every month Vodacom is very quick to take the money off but very slow or dont want to help when there is a problem. Vodacom leading the way please they dont know how to lead the way. I am very disappointed in vodacom

Unsent SMS
On Monday morning +-7h50 i`ve sent a SMS to Vodacom number 0829262864 and on tuesday morning +-7h40 again i`ve send another sms to the same number. My cellphone report as the message is been sent but to my surprise when i meet with the people i`ve sent the message to, they claim they have not received tyhe sms`s. Please may you check for me, as it is very crucial, if the message is been sent or not. My cell no is 0781382457 & my e-mail add. is [email protected]

i have been trying to get information from vodacom for YEARS!! apparently i owe them money, but when i call them to ask for a statement, they say they cannot give one as its been handed to a legal department. when i ask the legal department, they say vodacom only gives them the amount thats in arrears. all i recieve is a letter saying basically... this is what you owe... but NO ONE can give me a detailed statement of my payments made, and what charges they have put onto the account.
i refuse to pay ANYTHING untill SOMEONE can do this. i think i have a RIGHT t o know what i am paying and why!!

They are running away from their problem
Vodacom is refusing, alternatively neglecting, alternatively failing to contact me and or resolve my internet connectivity problem!!! This is a shocking shambles, they are running away from their problem, this is shameful! We feel as if Vodacom has robbed us in much the same way as a common criminal would rob you. They are holding us to ransom!!! We pay a monthly subscribtion to their business partner Altech cellular for internet, our internet works very slow, cuts off abruptly at times, says 'very poor signal' This is substandard service!!!

Waiting for 40 mins for assistance
I have called vodacom numerous times over the last two days, and have listened 'to the africa' song for more than 40mins each time, which is unacceptable. After speaking to to someone the problem is still not resolved so I call again and then I go through the same procedure. It is just not on, there is no customer service, if the call volumes are so high EVERY DAY of the week 24hours, maybe you should consider more emplyments, as well as if the Vodacom service provider is effeciant why should there be soo many callers needing assistance!

Bad attitude and ripping you off
I had taken in my contract phone for repairs at vodacare witbank due to my phone switching off by itself and freezing constantly. The first time they booked it and I had the phone back in about a day. When enquiring what they had done with the phone they told me they did a firmware upgrade. I took the phone and it was working ok for about a week. After that the phone started to get worse than it had been before and would switch off about 20 to 40 times a day, which made it unusable.
I then returned the phone to vodacare Witbank and told them what was happening.
While at the counter I wasnt told the waranty was void all of a sudden allthough the phone was in the same condition as the first time.
I waited 2 weeks and got a text that the phone was ready for collection.When going back to the shop I was told that I had to pay for the repairs? and when asking again what was done they told me that they upgraded the firmware? So now I have to pay for something that didnt work the first time round?
When I asked to speak to a manager I was rudely told that the 'manager' did not want to speak to me? I was cursed while leaving also? This is unacceptable!

SMS's received late or not at all
My wife and I are both with Vodacom and have had enough of them wasting our money. She will SMS me with something important only to have me receive the SMS an hour or more late. Sometimes it will go through fine and then at times it will not even go through at all. Make no mistake though, the money will always be subtracted though and this ****** me off. It's like paying tax to the government (paying for something you don't get). Right now it is 08:25 and she just mailed me to tell me she SMS'd me around 7 and then again at 8. Neither SMS had yet been received. Now we can phone each other instead of SMSing, but why should we waste more money? Vodacom excells at taking your money, but ***** when it comes to providing a proper service. No wonder they're a company that doesn't respond. I've noticed quite a few friends who have changed over from Vodacom to other providers and now I know why.

Vodacom steals money from customers
I admit in neglegting to pay my account end FEB, but made a double payment end March. Now my number is deleted and they expect me to pay R1200.00 reconecction (deposit)!!! This is absolutely rediciouless. I have paid my due and don't have the service!!! i am paying for sms bundles that does not accumilate and I will loose it!!! Nobody at vodacom after numerous calls even try to assist me, the only thing they say is that it's my problem. I want to make an appointment with ICASA and show them how we get taken for rides. This will not stop here today!!!

Vodacom clueless when it comes to porting
I moved over from Cell C, because of terrible service, and thought that Vodacom would be clued up with regards to their porting. I first went to Vodacom Greenstone, where the consultant ported my phone. I did not have FICA docs and she told me to go to any vodashop and they will be able to assist me. I then went to Vodashop, Cresta, where the consultant carried on about how the consultant at Greenstone was suppose to complete registration and she did nothing. He then ported my number and told me that it would take 24hrs. To my horror it took 4 days!!! I called Vodacom Porting customer service and was trf from pillar to post, because none of them knew what was happening. I became angry and the consultant told me that he will try and assist. I am waiting up until today for him to call me back. I then contacted Vodashop and spoke to the manager, whom at first was not very helpful. She one again ported my number and told me she would call me back. The following day, I had to call her back, she hardly remembered me then trf me to the consultant who initially assisted me.
It was back and forth that day, once again I had to re-fax through my proof of ID and confirm my address.
