Vodacom steals your money
I missed a 1 month payment and asked Vodacom to pls give me time to pay and not to delete my line, but they did delete it, i then had to pay a ridiculous amount to get my lines up and running and account up to date. I was told that i was due for an upgrade end of July. Today i called to verify this and i was told that i am now on a rehab account and if i want to qualify for upgrades or anything else i need to pay more money to cancel the accounts and re apply with them. No one explained this process to me and i feel that Vodacom steals from its customers, It is not my duty to follow up and see what the procedure is i am the customer and i have been a vodacom customer for many years. I am appauled by this and dont believe that they have their customers best interests at heart.

Their fault almost takes me to court
Hello all! These bloody Vodacom service providers almost got me locked up because of a fault they made! March last year, my dad and I went to go get me a contract on his name. They approved everything and come end of the month we got no Vodacom bill. When I looked into it, they put it on the company where my dad works name aka Grinaker LTA. We tried since then to stop the contract but no one wants to help. Grinaker said they will take me to court if I dont take it off their name. Now I am still struggling... If I end up in jail because of them, I will sue them so bad! Tomorrow I will phone again and see what happens

bAD SERVICE
I'm just tired of the service I have been getting from Vodacom, I was robbed two weeks back of which I informed Vodacom .
I went to Vodacom Calton Center for both my Contract and prepaid for Sim Swap.My contract Sim Card was successfully swap for me, then sold me a prepaid card with out a number then was told that I need to dial 100 to get my old prepaid number back of which I did.But that function kept on rejecting it, informed me that I need to Rica my old number.Turned back to same Voda Shop, Produced both my Green bar coded ID and proof of Residence. The lady told she could help me, I have to call 111 for the sim swap. I insisted that I'll make the call from the shop. After been put on hold for 30 by a consultant I was told that I need to go because they have to close the Shop, off I understood.A very Rude consultant By the Andisa asked me some security questions, of which I answered all the other info correctly but I Couldn't give the 5 number she asked for, only gave her three( I explained to her that I have lost the sim card and i don't have access to other numbers).I the asked to speak the team Leader(Kagiso Mathe)who could be much of an assistance as well and referred me back to the vodashop which can't help me.Ref number of the call184075727. There something we seem to forget that every bad service given client is lost, it may look as its one person, but of factor of matter one customer is one to many.

No answer from the Vodacom call centre
I have experienced high data useage on my data bundle for two successive months. I have tried reporting this matter to Vodacom Data Accounts Dept (082 155) for the last two months and everytime I call (at least thrice a week), I spend a minimum of 40minutes on the phone listening to the now most annoying 'on hold' tune, with still absolutely no one answering the phone after the wait.
I even tried calling the 011 - 653 5000 number this morning and everytime I get cut off. Now another month has passed with my bill again in excess of R2500, when in the past my average was a managebale R800 to R1000.
Is anyone working at the data accounts call centre, or has the recession hit them too, that they've had to let staff go! Vodacom is quick to debit and penalise subscribers, but very rarely are they ever available, let alone their call centre staff when me as a subscriber has a query!!!
I want answers as to WHY my data useage is as high, what's hapenning when I don't even use the data on my phone as I have internet at work and at home!!!
I am extremely frustrated and this undoubtedly is the last straw having been a 'stupidly' loyal Vodacom customer for the last 11 years.

Vodacom giving out defective handsets
I recieved a nokia 6600i as an upgrade on my contract, when I recieved the handset, the slide was loose, the ring volume was very soft and the signal reception was terrible, causing me to loose very important business calls, I contacted customer care and they sent me a new 6600i with exactly the same problems as the first one, I again contacted Vodacare Head Office and spoke to Mateemane, she told me that I had to send this brand new phone in for repairs, I did some research on the 6600i and it seems that there are alot of people that have the same problem with this phone, vodacom says they can only exchange the phone if nokia discontinues that model.
Candice Green has told me that the handset cant be exchanged as they are governed by the manufacturers terms and conditions, I did not buy a phone from the manufacturer, I bought a phone from vodacom and if there is a problem with the handset, they should sort it out.

This has to be the worst experience yet
After getting a call from vodacom direct, I was offered a airtime contract being that i'm a prepaid customer, basically I would get, R75 Airtime credit in turn for a R45 deduction. Two days later i get an sms saying R142 would be deducted from acc. Being that was not what was agreed upon, I returned the DO, & canceled everything. This has to be the worst experience, I have been sent from piller to post, nobody seems to know which department does the cancelations & as result its stil nt cancelled. Please cancel this acc! I want my old prepaid.

Most expensive Internet, still most unreliable
I am a HUGE data user. My average bill for 3G data at home is roughly R3000 per month.
Vodacom is UNFORTUNATELY the only service I can use currently for the following reasons:
1. Telkom has no open ports in my area, and deem it 'not viable' to upgrade the exchange yet
2. Neotel doesn't cover my address.
3. Screamers covers my address, but slow speeds.
4. iBurst cannot guarantee connection speed in my area.
So - I am stuck with Vodacom that charges R800 per 3Gig, of which I use at least 4 per month.
Yet, try to download a 400Mb Playstation 3 game update, without exception - the connection will drop as soon as you get to 380Mb, and forced to restart.
Why am I paying, why is it not Vodacom's fault if my downloads drop, and just forced to buy additional PREMIUM (if not more) rated data?
We all know the answer: We are the only service provider you can use, so suffer, small unimportant insignificant home user that pays at least one salary for us per month.

Service at store 11379
I had the misfortune of entering a Vodacom 4 U store 11379 HILLCREST CORNER DURBAN to ask for the data bundle on my contract to be increased.
I was met by Bruce Ngma chewing gum. I requested what I had come into the store to do, and he promptly told me to call the care line as it was free and I should sort it out with them. I then asked him to call if that was the only way it could be done. He continued chewing gum, and made a call. He had no idea what size bundle to upgrade when he commenced the call. When I asked to give me the costs of the different data bundles and sizes, he replied he couldn't do that either, as he had lost his brochure. I then asked him to check my contract and information to determine what my data usage for the last month had been and if at all that would indicate what size data bundle to upgrade to. He replied that the computers in the store do not allow them to see such information again this information would come from the call centre. I then got annoyed and asked what was the value of a store if you had to call the call centre. Another lady that assisted me with my upgrade previously became available and came to assist. Her name is Mishica Raidass and she managed to look up the amount of data I used, cancel the existing data bundle, upgrade to a larger size and purchase a data bundle for the duration of the month all in 2 minutes. All the while our friend Bruce was slouching across the counter chewing gum, totally oblivious to anything happening around him. My gripe is that it should not be possible to have such a badly trained, lazy and obnoxious individual dealing with the public. The image of this store is at stake. I would recommend the store to anyone based on Mishika's service the first and the second time I went there, but what if they ended up with incompatant Bruce. He needs to be removed from front of house immediately.
