Failure to attend to complaint and fraudulent act
I have complained to vodacom about my 3G card contract being upgraded without my knowledge after i had specifically called a few weeks earlier to cxl the contract. Now nobody has taken it upon themselves to try and help to resolve this after i reported that i was charged in march.

This is fraud and Vodacom is not doing anything to protect us( the clients). The staff at the call centre also not HELPFUL.

I want my refund for march and the contract cxld immediately. I will open a case of fraud if this is not sorted within 24hrs as i did not extend this contract. This is UNACCEPTABLE and very PATHETIC...No wnoder ppl are switching to MTN. They are professional and they always get back to their customers if there is a query while VOdacom ignores complains.

Seems like vodacom wants to shift the blame on me...I DID NOT EXTEND THE CONTRACT!!!

Penalty charges and other unseen billing
I have been a client of Vodacom for a good couple of years.

Viewing my bank statements this week I had a unpleasant surprise of an additional R85 that was deducted!

Now firstly how this happened is that I have missed a payment due to a cheque that cleared a bit later than anticipated, but I went and payed the following week as I did every now and then when this happened. (twice yearly max)

Never before in the past 5 or 6 years that I have been with Vodacom was there any penalties charged, also in my original agreement there is no mention of this R85 penalty.

The bank charged me R100 and Vodacom charged me R85 for this mishap - R185 extra on my bill for being 5 days late!!

When I phoned customer care I was told that there was always a penalty of R35 and they recently decided to make it R85. Nice, what stops them from making it R200 or more...?

I'm just wondering what actions to take, perhaps stop my debit order with the bank as it looks like they are free to do what they want with my accounts funds! pay them per transfer only exactly what I owe excluding R85 this month. They will then probably disconnect my line - could I take legal actions... CUSTOMERS WILL NEVER WIN.

Vodacom's incompetence is beyond tolerance
Despite the current investigation by ICASA & several national & global telecommunications services & the average of 2, 000 complaints a day, it is unconscionable Vodacom still sticks to its policy of treating clients as if they are rubbish.

Try phoning 114 at any time of the day or night. It takes 2m37seconds to speak to a human &then it is always an utterly incompetent, semi-literate, deaf, untrained (or untrainable) child you have to interact with - &that on a system more often dysfunctional than working properly, These buffoons are in the TELECOMMUNICATIONS industry & fewer than 5% know the IPA. They cannot be trusted AT ALL &resolve only 7% of calls made. The robot voice has not been updated in 18mths = waste of time.

The ENTIRE South Gauteng data service (about 120 000 customers so Vodacom claims, proudly!) (incl BlackBerries, iPhones, notebooks etc.) has been down for EIGHT DAYS. There are no indications if it is being attended to or how long it will take to fix - assuming Vodascum is capable of fixing it at all. This collapse applies across the board 3G right the way down & means voice service through iPhones & BBerries are affected to.

Still receiving spam and no response from vodacom
I have logged a complaint regarding these MMS's on here about a week and a half ago. I did receive a reply from vodacom that gave me a ref no: EC-ZULN-2IVBU. The message also stated that someone would contact me shortly to sort out the problem. I haven't heard anything from them yet, and I'm still receiving the News4U mss's. Can someone please contact me to sort this out.

Vodacom must take responsibility for 3rd party deals
I received a cell phone contract with Vodacom that included a So Music voucher deal. Vodacom should test these deals before they offer them to their customers. I will never renew any of my 4 contracts I have with Vodac as result of the So Music **! I phone So Music on a monthly basis to sort out their mistakes and delays. First order in December 09 arrived in Feb 2010. Due to this confusion I mistakenly ordered the same Blu-ray twice, as such a long time had passed if forgot what I had originally ordered. I called So Music and asked if they would be so kind to change my order. The lady happily obliged. One month later I received two of the same disks? I then ordered and paid the balance for a Blu-ray disk. As a Blu-ray is twice the price of a DVD. I received a DVD instead. I phoned So Music again to inform them of their error. One month later I am still waiting for them to rectify the error. I don’t need to explain that purchasing a Blu-ray for R299 and receiving a DVD worth R149 is fraud and theft. I will take legal action if needs be to recoup my losses. I phones So Music again today to follow up on this matter, unfortunately after three attempts the call center failed to answer

Contract
I went to a vodacom store in october 2010 to find a suitable contract with a nice handset. one of the reps there falsely sold me a vodacom business contract with 100mb free data per month. the handset was a sony ericsson vivaz, which according to him was a sony ericsson vivaz Pro. (compare the phones, theres a big difference) Upon receiving my first bill i was horrified to see that it amounted to over R400 as opposed to the R185 it should have been. the bill was due to data usage which i was meant to have received free. I immediately contacted vodacom and was told that the fault was with the rep who sold me the contract, and had in fact been fired for his underhanded dealings in the store. Apparently i was one of plenty unsatisfied customers. the solution vodacom comes up with, : i would receive the free data but for 12 months only. Unfortunately, this is not acceptable. I found myself paying a hell of a lot for a useless contract which was not the one sold to me by the rep. According to vodacom customer care: they cant be held responsible for the reps mistakes and theres not much they can do as I signed a contract.
I have had months of issues now with vodacom regarding this issue. I wish for my contract to be ended without cost to myself and will be glad to return the handset. Vodacom has caused me great stress and discomfort and I feel that the service from all ends has been disgusting. This is supposed to be the leading cellular provider. I want vodacom to get back to me ASAP to resolve this. I'm done with them.

Vodacom is overcharging people on their 3 G account
Vodacom is overcharging people on their 3 G account. All of a sudden we are reaching our caps within 10 days. I am not the only one with this problem. There are many other clients with the same problem.

Phone still broken after 2 months of repair
Booked a E52 into VodaCare Centurion on 21 February 2010. Various problems. Phone then recieved on 26h February 2010. Same problems still persists, nothing was fixed, not even tested! Booked phone for same errors and more on 4 March 2010. Received on 17 March 2010. Same errors still persists and new ones. Complained to Vodacare Centurion that if phone comeback again broker, I will take it further to exploit the bad service. Booked phone on 27 Match 2010, received 9 April 2010. Unit body was replaced, meaning it's almost a new phone as inside has been replaced. It wasn't 3 hours later, phone started giving problems. Keeps on freezing and switching on and off by itself. It has now been close to 2 months of wasting my time and money and still this phone is not working properly. I'm not directing this at Vodacare Centurion, But since it was my point of entry, I have to mention them. This is 100% directed at vodacare repair services. 3 Times this phone been brought back with errors. Does testing even take place? Even though it's said to be a new phone, it's still broken. I need to know what will happen next? Half monthly fee for no phone? Last Job Number 5582438... PLEASE DO SOMETHING!
