Rude repose from customer care. Severely Condemnable!!!
I am using Vodafone {Hutch) for over 3 years in Chennai. I converted to life time validity of my number. I use Rate cutter 148 by which Vodafone to Vodafone calls are 10p/min, Vodafon to other network - .50p/min, Vodafon to land line Re.1/min and free 750 local messages/day and its validity is for 30 days. Lastly my rate cutter validity expired on 31 August 2009 and I again made the rate cutter 148 on 5th September 2009. Suddenly the rate cutter benefits got cancelled on 2nd of October, 2009 itself and i came to know about this only when i was charged .99p/min for 30 mins. When I checked the balance my account was debited with Rs.29.70p for 30 mins but the 750 free local messages was given to my account under the rate-cutter 148 plan. When I called-up the customer care to enquire about this the customer care person (Senthil) responded very rudely, heedlessly and regardless and when I asked him to connect to the superior to inform about the indecent behaviour of the customer care person he again impolitely replied that no superior was available and immediately discourteously hung-up the call. I again called-up the customer care the next morning and asked when does my rate-cutter expire. The customer care person said that it is expiring by october 5, 2009. Thereafter I asked, then why is my rate-cutter 148 not applying but the combo of 750 messages/day is still continuing. After listening to this he said "let me check again" and suddenly said that he was wrong earlier and now said that rate-cutter 148 expired on 1st October, 2009 itself and that if i had 750 messages in my account, its due to error and asked me to enjoy the free 750 messages. Then I asked him to connect to a superior to enquire about this uncertain answers by the customer care persons. I was connected to one Mr.Guru. I told him about the previous night's unpleasant conversation with the customer care person Senthil and his rude behaviour towards the customer care. After listening to the recorded conversation that i referred, the senior (Mr.Guru) replied that the customer care person Senthil had not used any unparliamentary words during the conversation. This has been the trend of the response in Vodafone Customer Care Personnel for quite a while. If such is the respect the loyal customers get, it is a very unhealthy approach by the Customer Care Personnel, particularly Vodafone Customer Care, and is it ought to be severely condemnable. The Customer Care Personnel indulge in such behaviour and develop such attitude towards customers as they think they are invisible to the customers and no customer can trace the particular Customer Care Personnel by simply hanging up the call and with their superiors like Mr.Guru in my case backing up their behaviour. I don't think customers are to be treated like this with rude talking, slamming the call, simply hanging-up the call, etc. This menace is to be curtailed immediately by the appropriate authorities or the customers will be the ones who will be put to hardship, irritation, torture, exasperation, aggravation and annoyance and and the term 'Customers Care' will turn to be 'Customer Torture'. I request the authorities to take my complaint earnestly and take steps to curtail this menace. Thank You.

Rude behavior by Customer care staff
I purchased a Vodafone International calling card from Sevoke Road, Siliguri, West Bengal from the Vodafone store on 1st October 2009, Thursday. Subsequently I bought a new Nokia 97 mobile and wanted to get the Vodafone Mobile connect activated on my cell and went to the Vodafone store in sector-6, Dwarka, Near Ayushman Hospital, New Delhi.
The contact person there Mr Ajay was so rude that he said the SIM, I was using is not issued by Vodafone & so he cannot do anything to help me.On telling him that Vodafone Itl was appearing on top of the screen meant its a Vodafone SIM, He told me we are here to cater to the People of Delhi and since I had purchased the SIM from Bengal that I should speak to the Siliguri Vodafone people and get the programme activated from there.
I am going to sue Vodafone that is confirmed. But the question is how is the Indian Government is selling this country to these so called Multinationals infact they are not even fit to be a village companies.Sometimes you feel the Left parties are right in saying that the Government is allowing the MNC's to rook the people of our country after taking their share. There is no regulatory authority in telecom, Banking, Insurance, infact Private Companies in these fields have become worst than a Government Office.

MONEY CHEAT-UNECESSARY GPRS CAHREGES
• I got a new phone nokia n97, and with that I got a offer from Vodafone that ill get 20mb free download for 3 months and a free nokia Bluetooth headset. For dat I had to msg groove to 111 n download some software widget…I tried it but I was not able to download it…so I went to Vodafone store (Punjabi bahg, new delhi) n spoke to customer care executive puneet…he downloaded dat software n told me dat now its ready to use….i asked him about d free headset..n he said we vill give a confirmation to nokia and aftr dat dey vl call you n deliever it at your billing address….
After just a week(on 4th sep) I found dat my bill was rs.3100…I was shocked…coz I had not made any calls and den n in d evening I again checked my bill it was showing rs.3700 widout even using my phone..… n on 28th aug only I paid my previous bill of rs.600, all my previous bbills are less than rs.1300…..n When i called the cutomer care (111 from vodafone mobile) they said u have crossed ur credit limit so plzz pay ur amount to activate ur outgoing service.
I requested her to mail me my bill details, , , buh she refused to do dat….

• The next morning my bill it was rs.4100…I went to the same Vodafone store again….n dat executive puneet was not present dat day….soo I spoke to other executive kartik….i asked him dat I want to see my bill details…he said as ur billing date is 15th so I cant generate ur bill before 15th….i explained him dat my bill is increasing every second, and I cant wait till 15th…dunnw wot amount it will reach by den….and I have to go out of town, , , my calls are also barred…so u kindly resolve the issue and tok to ur senior as what can b done coz m not going to pay dis huge amount widout even using it…..
Hearing this he said okii ill see ur bill details(which he was not able to do before) n told me dat all dis is ur gprs charges…u hv downloadedstuff from d internet…..

• I assured them i did not download anything, I don’t even have time for it, I am working full day in office, but they replied that their systems dont lie indirectly stating i m a fool to complain. I requested them to register a complain, so incase there is a mistake from their part it may get cleared. But they refused to take any such complains because their system indicated that i had downloaded stuff from the internet (and telling me their systems are flawless). Then they agreed to transfer my call to their senior representative, but after transfering the phone just rang for a long time but no reply from the senior.

• I don’t know what dey activated on my phone, as I never sued any web page aftr dat…..coz I am working in office, n full day I access internet from deir, I juz wanted to activate d groove thing to claim the free nokia Bluetooth headset…which I have not received even till now…..n now dey r even refusing dat d scheme with n97 was valid only till 31st august…and nowhere in the offer it is mentioned…..

• I am distressed with hutch now and despite being with HUTCH in POSTPAID for 3 Years and, now I cancelled the connection and switched over to other subscriber as my bill was increasing evry second, without evn touching my mobile pone, and even aftr my calls were barred, so I juz had to switch off my number.
I really dunt understand if my credit limit is rs.2000, n evrytime dey keep track of ur bill, dat as sooon as u exceed ur credit limit they message u the same day n barred ur calls…but it didn’t happnd this time…..i got a call wen my bill reachd rs.3700;why are you cheating the customers?????????

• Rs.4700 * for one moth Is Realy Big Amount .i just cant pay it like dat.why should I pay for what I haven’t used.
Sir Please Kindly Take My Complaint as I am not going to pay unnecessary bills……and do the Needful

Deactivation without intimation to me
I have been a vodafone customer for the last 2 years. Today I had gone to the Vodafone customer care for activation of my international roaming. Now instead of activating it, they deactivated my GPRS and also calls to Hutchcare centre. They also deactivated my wifes national roaming for whom I had submitted a request for activation of International roaming. I had submitted all the relevant documents.

Customer care agents were not transferring the phone to their supervisor despite 6-7 calls. Pathetic attitude and above all, very pathetic service levels too.

3G network
Anyone who is thinking of going with Vodafone on the $40 a month for the dial up USB modem (internet) please don't! There service is shit, the internet always drops out, Vodafone never provide 3G networking for faster internet connection. They are useless. There customer service is the worst I have ever experienced from a telecommunications company, firstly you get the runaround from a robot receptionist named "LARA" after you have wasted 30 minutes talking to her, you then get through to an operator who transfers you through to ten million different departments before being able to answer a simple question. They are cheap and nasty and don't provide a proper service like its competitors. Also, the customer service is only open until 8pm MON-FRI so god help anyone with dramas over the weekend or past 8pm (ridiculous!)
