We keep getting unsolicited messages on screen in the form of quizzes and tips
We keep getting these unsolicited messages on screen in the form of quizzes and tips. If you press the OK button, you get charged for it so you have to press the "Back" or the "Cut" button. We have two vodafone post paid cell connections and we are registered on the "Do Not Disturb Registry of india". These unsolicited messages which appear on the screen cause the following probles:
1) They are unsolicited;
2) If you press "OK" by mistake you get charged for it;
3) You have to press "Back" or "Cut" so that you do not get charged for it;
4) The phone light becomes on when the message comes thereby consuming lot of energy and phone needs to be charged again and again;
5) These messages come throughout the day and night.
6) I have old parents for whom getting rid of these quizes and tips becomes difficult and if they innocently press the "OK" button we get charged for it;

In all there is a complete lack of management
My balance has been deducted for unnecessary schemes introduced by them. Without my permission they are activating these schemes and bonus cards and charging for it. My money has not been refunded even after sending complaints after complaints. In all there is a complete lack of management.

Trying to reach higher up people in customer service is just not possible
The instrument was faulty from the beginning. When messages come I never used to get the audio alert. Tried upgrading software with no luck. Then in May it started re-booting at the lightest of the physical tap. Now when Blackberry reboots it can take a couple of mins before it is ready to use. I showed the instrument to their showroom at Lower Parel and Chembur and the person admits that there is a problem.
The solution is for me to surrender the instrument, while they send it to Bangalore. By the time I get it back it can take 15 days. This is WITHOUT giving me a temporary replacement. I am a BB user as I need to get my email wherever I go. 15 days is too long a time. The least I expect is a company like vodafone to give a replacement.
Trying to reach higher up people in customer service is just not possible. All you get is the standard operating policy response.

Nastiest customer service I have never received in my life
I consider self as a prime customer of Vodafone as I not only use 3 cards but have a decent history. I am been facing a lot of problem since last few months mostly with the network issue but the issue got never been resolved. My experience with Vodafone was not that bad until I spoke to one of their Representative Mr. Mohammed Shaik.
Post interaction with him I have lost trust/ faith for the Brand. I see Vodafone tag line “Happy to Help” but let me tell you that most of their customers are not at all happy the way they receive the customer service. Good customer service is all about bringing customers back. And about sending them away happy – happy enough to pass positive feedback about your business along to others, let me bring to their notice that Vodafone lack these skills of good customer service either they are not train or they don’t want to help their customers.
Here is my extremely awful experience with Vodafone service and the Representative who has attended my call on 17th Feb ’09. Below is the conversation I had with Vodafone Rep and his response to my concern.
Self: Hi I have lost my phone and I would request you to help me to track my sim card.
Rep: I apologize that we do not have such facility available to track your sim card.
Self: Okay can you help me with the last contact made from my cell phone as some one has got my phone but the person is not ready to return it? I also see that he is making calls?
Rep: I am sorry we cannot provide you with the respective information.
Self: Dude, its my account and I am a customer, I have verified all the security questions so what is that stopping you to provide me with the information. Try to understand my situation your one help can get my phone back.
Rep: No Mr. Mehta we cannot help you with the same.
Self: Okay then I wish to talk to your Manager
Rep: I cannot transfer the line you have to speak to me as I can very well take care of the situation.
Self: As its not in your control I would like to talk to your manager so please go ahead and transfer the line
Rep: I cannot do that Mr. Mehta (adamant tone)
Self: I am a customer and I hold all the rights to talk to your supervisor
Rep: I would transfer the line if you will tell me what is that your want to talk to him (discourteous)
Self: I wish to speak to him and I think you should just go ahead and transfer the line as it’s a customers request or else I will ensure that I damage the goodwill of Vodafone as I am from media
Rep: Please hold and let me check if my manager is around
Self: Okay
Rep: Mr. Mehta this is Mohammed shaik once again, I am sorry but we cannot help you with your concern
Self: I said I want to talk to your Manager… do you have any understanding problem?
Rep: You can tell me what help do u need?
Self: So what is that you can help me with when I have lost my phone and want to track my phone?
Rep: We can block your card
Self: If you will block my card then I will not be able to talk to the burglar and will loose my phone forever.
Rep: Mr. Mehta that’s all we can do for you (Arrogant)
Self: Okay can you please discontinue my outgoing local & international calls?
Rep: I am sorry once again but I cannot block that as well
Self: Then what the hell are you helping me with?. I want to speak to your manager and you will transfer me right now
Rep: Sorry I cannot transfer the line (Very Adamant tone)
Self: Hello… Hello… Hello (Rep disconnected the line) (Offensive)
To make a complaint I have visited Vodafone Gallery to speak to the Manager. I was shock to get the information that I have all rights to talk to the manager and can also put a request to discontinue for outgoing and international calling. Post speaking to the Borivali CS Manager I got more pissed off as I was not only been through a disaster customer experience but was also given wrong information due to which I have lost my phone forever which had lots of important numbers and some old memories stored in and much more…
Such a nastiest customer service I have never received in my life and I am shock to know that Vodafone is not even bother about their customers or else this call could have been monitored and one of the Manager could have called up to cover up the situation… but expectations from Vodafone seems to be a challenging task/ mistake.

Am very disappointed that inspite of being such a big customer Vodafone treats us like dirt
I had called vodafone on 18th November 2008 to convert my employee Mit Kapadia's prepaid connection to postpaid on wed vodafone employee collected all the necessary documents from my branch office and informed us that his employee will come for address verification on the 20th of Nov at our main office, we informed our office timing 11 am - 7 pm to him.He lands up on 20th nov at 9 am in our office when only the cleaner was available and asked him whther mit is an employee or not the cleaner who barely remembers the boss's name said a no and hence the request was cancelled as he put the request as no mit kapadia works in this office.Nobody informed us about this.We were waiting that the phone will get activated by 21st evening as he had said 24-72 hours but then friday evening 21st nov i called vodafone and kept listening to the "Happy to help you" music as i was on hold and then finally told by them that they cant help me as their system is down.
Today on Nov 24th i called them again and thats when they informed that the request has been cancelled as the employee doesnt work here.So ia sked them that why did their visit happen at a time when the office is shut and even when he saw that it was just the cleaner in office why didnt he come back or call us to check how could he in the first place ask the cleaner and even take his answer and not process the request.So the vodafone employee mr.ravi patel tells me that it is supposed to be a surprise visit and so he landed up at that hour and if i still want the conversion he will send someone to my office again at anytime n then there is a "possibility" that within 72 hours it will get activated.So i questioned him that is it my mistake that his employee comes at a time when my office is shut or are we supposed to keep our office open 24x7 since they are going to do a "surprise visit".On that he replied very rudely only adding to my anger that they cannot "Help" me, if i still want the conversion he will send someone for verification else its my choice.This is the attitude they have towards their customers.We jointly have more than 25 vodafone numbers and even then they treat us like this.
Am very disappointed that inspite of being such a big customer Vodafone treats us like this.
Mr.Ravi Patel very smartly because the conversationw as being recorded kept saying the samething that he has to follow the process, didnt even accept their mistake, couldnt even commit to activate the line in another 24 hours. I asked him to put me onto his manager he said there is no one senior to him in that office and that if i wanted to speak to his manager some Mr.Cozma Coelho i should call back in the evening.
Do they think we are sitting free?I wasted 35 mins on the phone plus the stress that we have to go through inspite of being a 10 years old vodafone customer.
