Nothing, but problems
I purchased a Vodafone World calling card last week ( 15th of June) from Ernakulam, Kerala thinking that it would be helpful and economical for me to call my relatives at Australia. Since that day i have been making attempts to reach the Aus numbers and not able to make a single call till date. I called their customer care number 50119 once in the last week and registered the complaint about the same. They checked my pin number and the Aus calling number and after finding it OK told me that its a network problem and would get sorted out with in 24 Hrs. Thinking that the problem might have been fixed by now as more than 4 x 24 hrs passed by, i tried today at IST 6:00 AM. Once again i experience the same problem. Immedietly i tried to contact their customer care once again, i got the same message " the Vodafone music...then Welcome to Vodafone WCC customer care...all out customer care executives are busy...your call is improtant to us...please hold on our customer care executive will be in touch with you shortly...then the call automatically got disconnected"...This went on for 6 times and i decided to stop further attempts. Vodafone having boosted about their customer care through Visual medea and print medea...i had lot of hopes on their customer care. Now i have come to know its all the petty propaganda just for hype and got nothing to do with actual customer service.

Further i dont know whom to contact as my card would get expired in one month and i was not able to make any calls out of it.

One of the sims is not working
I had airtel postpaid connection. One day Priya from vodaphone called me up and offered me a new Vodaphone corporate plan scheme. She said this scheme is not available on voda stores. and they will send thir person to collect the documents from my place that is from IIT Bombay Powai. I liked the plan and took two new postpaid connections on my name. They told that since the two sims are on same name i have to submitt documents as only one copy. Both sims were dilevered to me on 16th April. One of them is working but the other doesnt and they say i have not submitted the documents. When i call Priya she says your documents have been forwarded so your sim will be activated by evening latest.

Each time she says that and nothing happens.

Getting unwanted calls from Vodafone
I have been holding a vodafone prepaid connection from past five years. They are the worst service provider, they are charging Rs 1 for sms without prior information.I called customer care and I have requested them that I want to speak with any of your manager, but they didnt do that for first three calls, they kept me hold for morethan 10 minutes, after calling third time they transfered the call to floor supervisor. They are answer was funny they are saying that its mistake that I didnt get any intimation about the change in service. I am getting around 20 unwanted calls from vodafone daily. so I requested them for a do not disturb. but still I am getting those unwanted calls from vodafone. Please suggest me that how can I sue a compliant in court.

I had to visit the gallery at least 10 times to resolve the problem but to no avail
1. Vodafone wrongly collected advance against receipt for the services to be rendered immediately within 3 days.
2. Vodafone provided services after good 78 days of collecting the advance, which is not normal and against industry norm.
3. Vodafone provided these services after almost 100 calls from my side to them or there agents, causing me financial loss, time lost and mental stress.
4. Vodafone after 78 days provider services which were not in conformity of the promises given in the receipt and supporting documents.
5. Vodafone did confirm the services on phone call which were mentioned in the documents but in the charges in bills was completely different.
6. The services to be provided were to be activated on one existing number and on two additional numbers.
7. Services to my existing number were rightly amended, whereas on additional numbers it was not provided, why, nobody explains.
8. In the bill there was no mention of the advance money collected.
9. After receipt of very first bill I complained in Vodafone gallery at Thane, put telephonic complaint and on the Email also.
10. Vodafone did not heed to my complaints and requests either on personal visits or on phone.
11. Vodafone did never bother to take note of the advance money collected on false pretext.
12. I had to visit the gallery at least 10 times to resolve the problem but to no avail.
13. NOW VODAFONE INSTEAD OF RESOLVING THE ISSUE, HAS ISSUED TWO LEGAL NOTICES THREATENING OF LEGAL ACTION.

Non existent customer service
On two occasions now, I have found that vodafone's customer service number is non-existent. I phone the helpline for a simple query, impatiently waiting for the option to speak to a human but guess what that option always returns you to the main menu! No matter which subcategory you choose, as soon as you select the option that would normally connect you with a human the system throws you back to the main menu. So, I call the complaints number (198). On this number, every option returns a message saying "unable to deal with this query at the time - please call back later"

The first time this happened, I sent an email to Vodafone and shortly received an acknowledgement email assuring that they will deal with my enquiry within 3 days. It actually took them 9 days to reply!

Now on the second attempt, it has been 7 days since I emailed them. I am really annoyed with Vodafone as I feel their customer service is non-existent. What's more they have the cheek to charge you when you connect to a human. Shouldn't calls to customer services be free? They claim this is because of some tax regulation! What nonsense! So does that mean Docomo is not following the tax regulation???? I strongly advise not to take a Vodafone connection if you're expecting any kind of after sales service.

A fraud has been committed with me by the Vodafone cellular company by telling a wrong prepaid to postpaid conversion plan
A fraud has been committed with me by the Vodafone cellular company by telling a wrong prepaid to postpaid conversion plan. A sum of Rs. 250 was asked as security which i had deposited with the Vodafone executive and collected the receipt. I canceled the application for this conversion after the verification call told me the correct plan. Now my money is not been refunded and I am asked to wait for month or go to Vodafone centers with the receipt to collect the refund. Moreover no help is provided by the customer care centers also. Vodafone also do not provide any intimation for changing the calls and message charges. They are duping lakhs of vodafone users by not giving such information and filling their pockets.

I have complained a lot of times and no action is been taken
I’ve activated Missed Call Information (MCI) service on 27th Feb with Vodafone so that I could receive any miss calls if my phone Is switched off. This was because my phone is switched off often because of some reasons. But I’m not receiving any miss call alerts and it is really hurting my living. I have complained a lot of times and no action is been taken.

All my calls which were returned with the message "mobile unavailable/switched off" was charged
The january bill includes around 300 call charges. The other party had switched off his mobile and all my calls which were returned with the message "mobile unavailable/switched off" was charged. The customer care says those were valid charges and the other party had not switched off his mobile.

I am really disappointed by the response i got from Vodafone
I am staying in Delhi and using a Vodaphone mobile phone connection. I reached Jammu on 24 Jan 08 and my Vodafone Postpaid phone stopped working. After more than 15 calls to Vodafone customer care and emails no one was willing/able to define the problem. Every one gave different versions of problem and solutions which were not practical. Some interesting versions/solutions are as below:

a) One of the executive old me that may be my SIM is defective and it needs to be changed. When i asked how to do that, i was told that Vodafone will/can send the SIM to my billing address, then i can come to Delhi to collect the SIM and go back to Jammu and try if it works.
b) Another one told me that my National Roaming is not activated. When i asked him that i have reached Jammu how can i do that, he told me that i can ask some one in Delhi to deposit the money and then SMS some code from my phone to 111. I asked him that even if i ask some to deposit the money how can i SMS if my phone is not working. He had no answers. He told me to wait and Voda fone will call back and tell what to do. But i received no call.
c) After this almost more than 5 executives and 3 supervisers told me that there is no problem with my national roaming but there seems to be some other problem and they will call me back with definition of problem and solution but i received no calls.
d) All the executives gave me different time periods by which my problem will be found/solved and this time period ranged from 2 hrs. to 72 hrs. When i tried to explain them that since i am on roaming that means i am out of my region and i will not be there for life so i need your help urgently, again i got the same promise that they will call me again with in 10 mins. but there was no call.
Ultimately i gave up and didnot make any attempt to contact Vodafone on 26th and 27th Jan.
e) Then i received first call from Vodafone only on 28 Jan 08 and the person on other side told me that he was from some Networking department and the problem is that my National Roaming is not activated. I told him that the customer care executives have repeatedly told me that my National Roaming is activated he replied that this is not his domain and he cannot help me.

I am really disappointed by the response i got from Vodafone. There was no effort to solve my problem. When i bought the SIM no body told me that there is something called as National Roaming. And nobody will deny that the sales force never provides full information when they are selling the new connection. Their only concern is to complete the sale and increase their numers.
