Customer Servie / High Bills
As I am working in Thailand, I tried many many times to unblock my mobile so that it works with Thai sim card. I was told that they would text me an unblocking code in the coming week. I thanked them as it ment that I could switch my mobile off and not get charged silly money on roaming charges. I tried switching my mobile on briefly over the next week and received no text with unblocking code. Only a message to call back as they had been trying to call me!!! I called back and went through the same process many times again and was told to keep my mobile switched on as they call with the unblocking code. This I did and without sucess I had to call back again and expalined all again to another operator and informed that the customer service from vodafone spain is the worst ever experienced, I will be looking for another service provider on my return to Spain this year as I have never been more frustrated with a service that I and my partner have been loyal with over the years but get appauling return - paying thousands of euro's. My last bill came through and due to Vodafone handling of the above mentioned saga, was 272, 86 €. This figure was simply trying to unblock my mobile, nothing else...acceptable? Answer - TOTALLY NOT, I did not ever receive the unbloacking code and so not to pull the hair from my head, I had to give up. Note - Everytime I called which should be answered by an English speaking operator was answered by Spanish and then no one could transfer me etc etc - a complete nightmare. If this money that has been virtually stolen from me is not returned then I will look into sueing your company as this is criminal what you are inflicting on innocent people. Yours...A very angry and frustrated human being and not the first with Vodafone ES!!

Mobile
In November i purchased a new Nokia C6 using the points I had accumulated the phone was on offer for 1400 points however on arriving home I found the phone to be faulty and so returned to the "vodafone Shop" for a repayment. They told me it would have to go back to nokia for testing and would take 15 days.
20 days later i recived an SMS from vodafone telling me that they accecpted the phone was faulty and to visit the "vodafone shop" for a replacement, I did this only to be told they had none in stock and would have to order one. another 10 days. when the phone arrived they could not put it on the system as the original offer had expired????? it is now another 10 days 6 visits to the shop 5 hours on the phone to vodaphone and still no phone. this company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced

Vodafone - Utterly Diabolical Service!
As an ex-pat I thought it would be a good idea to get a contract for mobile phone and ASDL with Vodafone when I moved to Barcelona having used the service in the UK for many years without any problems. How wrong could one person be!!! Below is a summary of my very very bad experience with Vodafone Spain.

On 18th August 2010 I took out a contract for ADSL line and was told that a technicican would contact me to arrange a visit to install everything I needed to get wireless in my apartment.

9 weeks later and many hours and hours of phone calls and visits to the local Vodafone shop (who are absolutely powerless to do anything whatsoever!) I am still without my ASDL line despite having handed over in excess of 120 Euros!

I phoned customer service from Barcelona on no less than 15 occasions to try and resolve the problem and each time was told that someone would contact me in 48 hours. GUESS WHAT? No phone call!!!

On two occasions I called and asked to speak to Manager / Supervisor and was told that they were 'busy' - when I finally called a third time and was put through to the so called Manager - they said they would call in 48 hours!! That was 72 hours ago and still no phone call!

To add insult to injury I have just spent 1.5 hours in the Vodafone shop (today) in Barcelona (Calle Boters) having stupidly migrated from Vodafone prepay to contract last Thursday to try and find out why my mobile phobne hasn't worked since!!

To my absolute astonishment and after waiting 45 minutes to be served the staff member in the shop came back after speaking to their Technical department and told me that my contract had been cancelled! At this point I had been without a phone for 8 days (having also been in and out of the Vodafone shop to be told that the fraud department had to run standard checks which was why my phone didn't work). I remained in the shop for another 45 minutes during which time I was told that actually the line had not been cancelled but there was a restriction in place.

Now one would have thought that a restriction would be easy to lift given that the customer is standing in front of a member of Vodafone staff with a passport and the phone and numerous other forms of identification. But no! How ridiculous of me to think that it would be as simple as that!!

I was then told... guess what? Yes, they would call me!! I AM ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS, FRUSTRATED AND WITHOUT A MOBILE PHONE OR INTERNET DUE TO VODAFONE'S ABSOLUTELY DIABOLICAL SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

If you are an ex-pat and are looking for either a Spanish mobile phone OR internet - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER VODAFONE! Let me remind you that I have been waiting 9 WEEKS for my internet and now have not had a phone for 8 DAYS!!! No explanations just a constant promise that SOMEONE WILL CALL ME.

Interestingly, I have tried to find a way to contact the Directors of Vodafone and I cannot find any way of getting in direct contact with them otherwise I would have.

Awful Customer Service
Where do I start?! Since setting up a business user account with Vodafone Spain in March 2009 I have had problem after problem. Every time I speak to their customer service department they tell me a different thing.

I have not received a paper invoice since May this year and could not access the account online to view invoices despite more than fifteen calls to try and sort it out. Six passwords later I have just managed to get online and download the invoices which had been promised to me in the post on four separate occasions.

Intrestingly I received the first four invoices to the correct address and when they did send me a copy invoice of one that was missing it had a totally different address on it despite me having confirmed the address twice previously.

I was also told by one customer service operator that if I want to view my account online I cannot receive paper invoices and vice-versa - this is contrary to what I have been told by at least two other customer service operators and the distributor who sold us the package.

In between all this Vodafone have been overcharging me every month since the account was opened between 13.50 euro and 55.10 euros amounting to over 150.00 euros in total to date. Alot of money to a small new business.

Of course not having had access to all our invoices I began by only querying the ones I had. I then received a rebate with no idea what it related to. The final straw was when I managed to download all the missing invoices to find they have continued to overcharge me.

When this was queried yet again I was told that the charges are for internet access. I pointed out that I pay 18.00 euros a month for free access to which I was told that I am accessing the intrnet via Vodafone Live and this is charged for seperately. If this had been explained in the first place it could have been addressed however the point is that I have NOT been accessing the internet through Vodafone Live so it is all rubbish anyway.

As I am not Spanish I wondered if this had anything to do with the service I was getting so I even asked my accountant to call on my behalf (who is also a lawyer and Spanish) after over an hour on the phone to them she gave up totally bewildered.

Given the total ineptitude of their customer services department I don´t believe a word they tell me.

So Vodafone Spain if you are reading this...unless my issues are resolved I will be cancelling my contract and moving to Movistar as soon as my contract expires.
