I would like to launch a complaint against Volvo trucks Newcastle branch in KZN. On the 24/25th of March 2011 I took my volvo truck to volvo Newcastle for repairs as it was showing warning light of oil. I asked Hansie (Manager) to inform me of the problem on the truck of which he told me that it might be couple of things that causes the alarm. He even suggested that we leave the truck because if we drive it in the condition it was, its going to cause more damage on the engine. We took his advice not knowing that the truck will sit there in his work shop for the next three months. On the 28th of march I went back to Hansie to ask of the progress and exactly of the cause of the fault and spares neede sothat I can budget unfortunatetly they didnt even start to strip the truck. Then he (Hansie) promised me that they will do strip and quote on friday cause they wont be busy. On the 24th of March 2011 I asked Sam(Parts division) for quotation of all parts needed he gave me which amountedto R100k+ besides labour the truck was still outside of the work shop. Hansie gave me a list of parts that are needed I went to Sam from parts department to get a quote. I find out that they were out of my budget. So I asked Hansie for his expertise and labour and will supply him with parts, which he agreed and said I must sign indemnity that should the parts supplied fail, its not their responsibility. I agreed. but in short this guys they have cost me salary for three months and my driver hasnt received any salary for the past three months which iI beleive we should be compansated for their poor services they have rendered. Please help with this regard.
Thanking you in advance
