We went to Vossies to get a quotation for our car to be fixed. We explained what we want to be done, that included the fixing of the 5th gear, links underneath the car and replacment of clutch kit. They gave us a quotations for work to be done but stated that the price may change, which we accepted. They also said that the car would be ready the same day...it didnt happen that way. They phoned to say they are running late and the car would be ready the next morning by 10 o` clock, so we said fine. Round about half past ten the next day we phoned just to hear that the machanic stripped the gearbox and now is being cleaned, so it will take even longer. Again we said thats ok but we need our car by the end of the day. By 3 o` clock we phoned and they said they would phone back, but nothing...4 o` clock we phoned again and they said the car is ready we can come pick it up. We got there just before 5, and suddenly there is something wrong again. They told us also about wires that came loose that goes to the amplifier of the car radio. They said they just pushed it back in. We waited a hour and we had to go for I was working afternoon shift and asked if I could quickly so and fetch my car. Couldnt wait any longer. We were without a car for the whole weekend and they didnt even phone to ask were we went or anything...!!! On monday afternoon we went back to them to get our car. They said they fixed everything, but the clutch was worse, still struggels to go into 5th gear and the links wasnt fixed? So what did we pay for. Later on Monday afternoon we wanted to switch the radio on...and nothing . It didnt want to go on...We went back to them to ask which wires came loose so we can go and look for the problem, and they replied "we worked on the gearbox, not the radio"!!! On that reply I said " in that case I want my car fixed properly". The owner said to me "THEN SWITCH ON THE LIGHTS AND I WILL HELP YOU LOOK FOR IT!!!". Is this the kind of service we as consumer pay for. I was very mad and went home to try and sort the radio. We saw that the radio`s protection fuse blew and replaced it. Still the amplifier didnt work. After looking for the problem and replacing say 6 fuses we could see that the amplifier was blew aswell, because of the live wires they just pushed back into each other!!! What are we supposed to do now? I f you go back they just get nasty with you end tell you its not their problem??? Can you help us??? Please??? We do have proff for work that was supposed to be done... Please find it attached.
