Scam and cheating
I am distressed to read others have had identical problems with VPI that I have had. Out of over $600 i have gotten a total of $50 back. It is always something and the information that they have is never good enough to reimburse me but they seem to have enough information to charge my credit card for the policy every month. When I call I seem to get the most argumentative and disgruntled employee in the room. This should be a very simple process and unless you quit your job and dedicate your life to trying to get your claims paid you are looked upon as not interested by the VPI staff because you expect the 'claims' person to contact you if they have a problem. When I called prior to my last call I was told to send my dog's medical records. I went to the Vet's office, waited till the receptionist stopped everything she was doing to copy the records and then drive to a Kinko's since I do not have a fax machine and am a civil servant so I cannot use the one at work. I shelled out almost $3 to fax the records to VPI. Now I am being told that I need to send the medical records again because I never sent them the first time. Uh...what?! I told the girl at VPI I did and here we go...I was talked to like i was her 7 year old. Now, would'nt it serve logic that I would send the records the first time since I would LIKE MY MONEY BACK!!! I have e-mailed their customer service with my complaint and now i am off to Kinko's to once again shell out more of my money and fax the medical records.
Please stay tuned to the outcome.
