Pasiing counterfeit $100 bills and not accepting responsibility
Wachovia is passing counterfeit $100 Bills in Charlotte NC and taking no responsibility. I just withdrew $4000 in cash (40 $100 bills) to deposit 5 minutes later in my daughters Bank of America account as she is in college and studying abroad as Wacovia does not have bank ties in Europe yet. BofA told me some of the $100 bills were counterfeit. I returned them to Wachovia 10 minutes later and they said once I leave the door they accept no responsibility. How was I to inspect 40 $100 bills for counterfeit before I left the door? I am not a counterfeit expert, but the banks should be and they should not be passing counterfeits on to customers and taking no responsibility. My only recourse is to file a case with the FBI and have the money confiscated from me, or pass the counterfeit on to someone else. Wachovia should take responsibility for passing counterfeit money, as it could involve Wachovia employees with whom are in on the counerfeit scam. I can't belive they take no responsibility. I talked to a local police guarding the Wachovia branch who would offer no help, only to tell me he would arrest me if I did not leave the Wachovia bank premise immediately as I was raising my voice calmly and causing a scene. They should have offered to take fingerprints from the counterfeit bills and check against the teller who gave them to me. She admitted she gave me the money 10 minutes earlier, so Wachovia should be charged with passing counterfeit bills - yet me as the customer gets skrewed. What can I do?
