Never again will I do business with Wachovia
I traded in my car. Wachovia got paid, cashed check yet customer service kept telling me they haven’t received any payment. You can’t get past them and they insist you have to continue making payments though you have all the proof to show they’ve cashed the check. Never again will I do business with Wachovia.

Customer Services
I purchased a 2005 corolla in january 2006. I went through Wachovia Bank for the Loan. In September Wells Fargo took this loan, with little communication with me. I am a single parent and I struggle to make the payment and I am late more often than not. I have received phone calls before from wahcovia but since September, I had no communication at all just a statement through the mail. On March 26 I woke up and my car was gone. I understand that the company had cause to take the car, but I had no idea it was gonna happen, a check cleared my account on March 17 so I thought it was all good. When I called about the car dealer services was closed so I had to wait until Monday to talk to someone, when I did guy was ready to argue with me and was not nice at all. I was on the phone for 2 days and paid $1026.00 to get my car back. This was crazy because I was 71 days late and was making a payment on March 28. I should have talked to them and made a payment arrangement, but what does Customer Service mean?? I think it is poor customer service to have no communication what so ever with the clients. I would have responded to mail or email, I do not have an answering mechine and Im not home a lot because I work 40 hours and go to night classes too. If I had another car, I would have let it go, and that too is poor customer service, I thought there were services to help, but this was no help at all. It was an awful experices and there should have been some kindness somewhere and I was disappointed with the policies that wont allow the customer to know that they are at risk for loosing their car. In addition my son had medication in the car and was without it all weekend. I called all numbers given to me and could not contact anyone. I think that Wells Fargo is Chicken Shit and had to send someone to take my car at a time when they could not be reached I would never recommend them to anyone...in fact as soon as I can I will refinance my car "not with them" Im sure this will not effect them, but it sure will make me feel better, . They are sad, pathetic, unprofessional and much uncoordinated
I cosigned a car loan for my ex and he was late on a payment. But then sent a payment which they lost and collections has been calling me and harassing me night and day to pay them. My ex moved to Fla. I gave them all of his contact information and they continue to harass me to make the payment because they work on commission. He is working with Wachovia to locate the lost money order and he has informed collections that this is the case.
They will tell you whatever lies they can think of to get you to make the payment and when they see that doesn’t work, they try other ones, they said they were going to sue me, that if the car was repossessed I would have to pay the fees it’s all nonsense! Michelle from collections even went so far as to call my job, I have no clue how she got the number. Because I had not given it to them and fraud misrepresent herself by acting like she was one of my students to speak with me.
They are sad, pathetic, unprofessional and much uncoordinated. Do not give Wachovia any of your business.

Nightmare
My experience with wells fargo dealers: a nightmare. I'm leaving USA, so we need to sell our two cars asap. We paid out the car that we have with WFD. A month later the title still under WF Dealers. When you call 800 number they said the title was released to the DMV 2 weeks ago, and because it is an electronic title it will take another 2 weeks to be process through. We went to the DMV to get a title replacement and DMV said that it has not been released. I requested to WFD Customer Service a proof of paid out: Lien Release, but their don't help you: Go to the DMV. WF never sent me any paper, proof of payment or instructions about how to proceed. We called WFD 10 times and went to the DMV 3 times. It has been 10 days and still no title. You have to dig really deep inside WF dealer web site to find out that they have corporates offices all over, but they dont tell you. You have to go there in person and someone from the processing center will sign the release. Otherwise, you going to die waiting for your title. Now, let me tell you about my other car with State Farm Bank. I sent my paid out cashier check. 7 days later, I got the title in my hand. I sold my car next day. Zero stress, zero hassle. It is up to you. Next time go to another financial company. My humble advise.

Horrible company
This company is horrble to work with. When my partner lost her job, I called to explain that it would take me a couple of months to catch up. I told them I would pay on a certain day and they proceeded to call my sister to collect this debt. When I called to tell them that they could not call my sister, they said that if I owed them money they could call anyone they want. Absolutely horrible, and abusive on the phone. Will never do business with them and can not wait until i have no more payments with them.

Financial rape
I feel like I am being completely financially raped by this company.
And on top of it all, every employee I've ever spoken to has been insanely rude and unprofessional.
If you're going to financially rape me, at least be polite about it.
I have so many complaints about this company, I don't know where to start. I guess the biggest issue is that no one with this company is open or even interested in hearing what I have to say. It's like they are ready a script that they can't deviate from -- asking the same questions over & over when they don't like the answer given to them. Rudeness, incompetance, pitiful customer service. There is no customer "service" with this company.
Dealing with a robot would be more pleasant.

Rude People and Threats
I recently lost my job and had made mycar payment but wanted to turn off the automatic payment feature. I called to let them know and told them that I planned on making my payment if I was able to secure a job. Since I was not and had not been behind, I was shocked that they were so rude. I spoke with my account manager and he told me that I had better make my next payment. I kind of blew it off as I was not yet late but today I'm two days late and still have no job and haven't received unemployment, basically broke. I called to be proactive and let them know where I stood and get their advice on how they would like me to handle it. My account manager wasn't in but the guy I talked to was so mean and rude! I didn't even get to finish telling him the purpose of my call when he began actually yelling at me and telling me that I had better find a way to come up with the money and get my payment in immediately. I once again explained that I was doing all I could and had no money. I've lost my home and was living with a friend and using her phone. She could hear him across the room! He told me that I could not walk away and that I had better get together the $515 dollars asap1 He then told me that they would take me to court and get a judgement against me and could garnish my wages. I told him that since I had no money and no job, it wouldn't help matters. Couldn't they have just been a little more HUMAN? I even reminded him that I was still a customer and he was not providing very good customer service and he told me that he was not in the customer service department and that my thinking he was mean was not fair to him! Geez! He said he was going to transfer me and my friend who could hear every word said "he's a real jerk!" Well, he heard her and just went off on me! When I was finally transferred to who was susposed to be his supervisor, I thought things would go smoother but he was even worse! More threats, more insisting that I had better come up with the money "or else." Or else what? Will they send out some tough guys to break my legs or what? Are these people trained to be this way? Like I said, the first time I wasn't even late and never had been. A lot of people would not even have called to let them know. What an awful company. Now, after seeing all the complaints on this site, I see that I'm not the only one. Wonder how a business with this sort of reputation stays in business? So, I will just drive the car and forget about trying to call them again. There doesn't seem to be anyone there that has the least bit of humanity so why bother?

Beware
Over the course of the two years that I've had an auto loan with Wachovia, I've tried to refinance 3 times because I needed a lower payment and interest rate. I was declined all three times, however, the last time I applied they suggested I try for a "hardship" loan. Bear in mind that I was NOT delinquent on my account, but rather, I was trying to be proactive by reducing some of my monthly debt because I had a student loan coming due and an increase in my mortgage payment within a couple months. So when I applied for the hardship loan, the rep asked me for my GROSS income and monthly debt. She said she would call me back that day with an answer. So I waited and no call, so I called the next day. The rep told me I was declined because I make too much money compared to my debt. They didn't FEEL that I had a "hardship". So I explained that I only take home about half of my income due to taxes, heath and dental insurance, etc. So she said, "Well, lets apply using your NET income." So I faxed her paystubs and she said she would have an answer for me later that day. Again no call, so I called the next day. She said I had been declined again because now I don't make enough money. According to her calculations I expend more than I bring in and that disqualified me. So apparently there is some magic debt to income ratio you have to hit in order to qualify for a refinance...and perhaps it even depends on the day, the weather, if there's a full moon, or some other arbitrary factor.
When I asked for an explanation, she couldn't give me one, so I asked to speak to a manager who said, "You need to call finance about that, this is collections." So I called finance and they said, "you need to call collections about that." So obviously I got nowhere with them and they were able to just make an arbitrary decision about my application. But then again, why wouldn't they? I'm on time with my payments and they are raping me with the interest.
In addition to this experience, Wachovia gouges the consumer with high interest rates--higher than most cuthroat lenders and they are absolutely unwilling to work with you. At one point I was told, "You should just let the car go if you can't afford it." Again, I reiterate--I was not delinquent on the account!
Don't do business with Wachovia Dealer and be aware, that in about a month, Wachovia is being acquired by Wells Fargo Finance. Not sure if that's good or bad, but something to be aware of.

Hung up and would not accept further calls
Contacted Wachovia Customer Service Fri 2-26-10 3:00 pm PST and spoke with customer service and was disconnected a few minutes into conversation.
Called back same again at about 3:20 pm PST and spoke with Zevalia in customer service and explained my reason for call/problem and we discussed sitiuation for a few minutes.
At 3:29 pm PST, Zevalia asked me a question, and when I begin to answer it she immediatedly hung up on me promptly at 3:30 pm.
I immediately called back and let it ring for 55 seconds another 5 times and no one would answer phone again, so I must assume Zevalia's shift was over at 3:30 pm so she justhung up on me and went home.
I called back at 4 pm PST and successfully resolved my problem with another customer service representative who did acknowledge that some shifts did end at 3:30 pm PST.
What a crap way for a company to treat their customers.
No wonder they were taken over by Wells Fargo.

nasty rude customer service
I have had a loan with wachovia for a few years and admit to being late several times on my payment but I always call ahead of time to let them know whats going on and when to expect payment. My vehicle is almost paid for and i called and made arrangements to make a payment late but also made arrangements for the next months payment to be paid within the grace period. The next day someone called me and asked me where my payment was. I told her i had already made arrangements she said the person should not have accepted the arrangements and that she was going to tell a manager. I said o.k. and she hung up on me. I will never ever do business with Wachovia again. Whatever you do, find someone else to do business with.
