non availablity of spare part
This is with reference to problem we faced with our Wagon R (UP14 U 7543) LXi, that was purchased on March 12th 2004 from Rohan motors limited, at 432 Mukand Nagar G T Road, Ghaziabad (201001).
From last couple of days, the problem we faced with the above mentione vehical was that the stearing of the car would become hard automatically. Sometime, it would work normally and sometime during the drive, it would become very difficult to steair the car.
We had been to Rahan Motors where the car was inspected by the concern technician. He verfied that the APS controlling the stering system has gone bad. As per there analysis, there was water in the APS which seems to me was practically impossible. Me and my fater are very cautious about driving our car and the car is always being serviced at Maruti Authrised Center. The car has travlled around 25929 KM within these years and is being serviced at regular interval of 4-6 months. We do not user our car locally a lot and most of these KMs are used on long travels like Deharadun, Chandigar and Himachal Pradesh. I am not sure what is the reson for the malfuncton of the device but if it has gone bad then it show the quality of parts being used in the vehical.
However, we asked the Rohon motors to replace the defective part as we were facing problems in driving the car and we don't the condition to get worse. To our amazment, Rohan motors did not have the APS in there stock for the replacement. The said that they have to get the replacement part from other facility in Noida as they cannot keep costily items under stock for long time. They suggested us to leave the car there and take the delivery in evening.
My father had a injured knee and we have to comeback to our residence back without the car. As per my observation, it only took 5 min. for the techician to take out the defective peice from the car and it would hardly take another 5 min to replace it if there would have been stock of the part.
The store incharge started giving the explaination and excuses regarding the compy policies and all the stuff. We hardly care about the compny policy. We are the end users and we hardly need to know maruti's company policies. We being a faithful customer of Maruti automibles have recomended Wagaon R to lots of friends and families. This incident has shaken our belief. it cost us around 7000 buks even after taking great care of our car.
Please look into this matter as we don't want to question our choice.
