Incompetence
On 04/17/10 I took a script to the drive through window for my son. I submitted my insurance card. The script was for vicodin. The pharmacist came back and said he could not get the insurance to go through and I would have to pay full price ($13.99). This was not a big deal; my copay would have been $7.00. He said he would call Cigna in the morning and once he got it run through I would be issued a refund. He said he would need to keep my insurance card. I paid the $13.99 and left with the meds. I called Cigna the next day and asked them if there was a problem with my sons eligibility, that the prescription didn't go through and was advised that his eligibility was fine. The pharmacist called me on 04/21/10 and told me that he had run the script through and my refund and insurance card would be ready when I came in to get it. I forgot about the refund and insurance card until the other day, 05/31/10. I went back to Wal Greens on that day and was informed that it had been too long since the purchase and they wouldn't have any record of it. I said forget about the refund just give me my insurance card (6 weeks?). The tech said the pharmacist wouldn't have kept my insurance card and it wasn't in the bin. Now...the pharmacist was there but wouldn't talk to me. He hid out in his little corner. I asked the tech if there wasn't anything else she could do for me and she said "no". She gave me a sheet showing where the script had been run through on 04/21/10. I called the store manager, Jamie, on 06/02/10 and he seemed to be very helpful. I explained the chain of events and asked how they could not have any record of this sale when the drug is a controlled substance and subject to audit by the DEA. He said he would get right back to me. It's now 06/06/10 and I haven't heard from Jamie. Guess I will have to send my husband up there. Hmmm...Who's got my money and where is my insurance card?
