Went for an exam and purchased glasses on 1/4/2010. Realized after a week or so that I could not see the way I should. Went back to see if the Dr. Allen would recheck me. They did recheck the prescription as they had to order this out. They said there was no problem with this prescription, but asked the doctor what his opinion would be and they told me that he said that he couldn't give me a 20-20 correction as I had cateracts. So I went home. By the way this is the first time I was told I had cateracts by Dr. Allen. Went home for another week and I still couldn't see so I came back a second time and asked for a refund, which they gave me and then I went to another doctor and the difference in the prescriptions is a follows:
Walmart Other Provider
-2.50 Sphere Cyl -0.25 Axis 114 -1.25 Sphere Cyl -1.25 Axis 100
-1.50 -0.50 059 -1.25 -1.00 070
Add + 2.50 Add +2.50
I now have new glasses with the Other Provider and can see like I should. This provider said I have no sign of cateracts. They double checked and said NO SIGN at ALL.
My main concern is that I would like this doctor to be checked out as he certainly did not completely satisfy me and put me through a lot of unnecessary run around. I was doubting myself as he would not recheck me.
Thank you
