Beware if this is your only money source. I noticed a charge online that I didn't make, called the merchant, found out someone used my card number. I immediately reported the card number as stolen. They said I would receive a new card in 7-10 business days. I said how am I supposed to access my money until then. They didn't know and apologized. They suggested I buy another temporary card and they would be able to transfer the balance that was on the stolen card to this temporary card but it would take 4 hours or the next day because this happened on a Friday. Activated the temporary card. Called the next morning. Said it would take 3 to 4 hours. Called later to check on balance transfer. They said it was against their policy to do that and we would have to wait 7-10 business days for the new card and then activate it and then the balance would be transferred. What?? You are holding our money hostage for 7-10 days. What are we supposed to do in the meantime? Oh they apologized and they understand, but they don't have an answer. Can you believe they are holding our money hostage? We are being punished, not the person who used our card number. I want to file a complaint with the FTC, Attorney General, any lawyers interested? Please contact me asap. This is unreal. I thought the banks were unfair, but this takes the cake.
