Walmart Pharmacy Reviews

Incompetent Pharmacist
I will never leave a prescription at Walmart again! I took three dermatologist prescriptions to Walmart on a Friday and they told me that one of the prescriptions could not be filled until Monday because they had to order it. I then got a phone call on Monday claiming all three were ready, I called and they told me that only two were ready. Also, important to note I am a self-pay, I don't exactly believe in insurance and I am self-employed. Either way. when I called they told me that one of the medicines would not be available until Tuesday.

On Tuesday my husband went to the store and they told him they had no ordered it because they thought it was too expensive at $120...really? I had already given the okay for all 3 regardless of price. So they say it will be ready on Wed or Thurs. I go by on Wednesday and guess what not ready, I call on Thursday and not ready. On Wednesday when I went they told me they had it and then they told me no it was a lotion versus a gel and the prescription said gel and they could not give me that one. Then they the pharmacist told me that they had to order it but not to worry because they did carry it and would have it next day.

Okay so on Saturday I call before I pass by and they tell me they don't have it yet and that actually they don't carry the gel. Why didn't anyone call me? No one though to call me and tell me they could not order it? They told me I would have to wait until Monday, mean while I am out of my samples and the other two prescriptions aren't the most important.

So I am fed up at this point and I go pick up my prescription and tell them I am never going back there again because for 8 days they gave me the runaround. I actually went to Walgreens and guess what? Took them 15 minutes and it was only $52. So not only did I save money, I was also treated right and with efficiency.

Rude Pharmacist
My boyfriend has been complaining of symptoms that over the counter medicines do not seem to help. A friend of ours who mentioned he had the same symptoms suggested he get Claritin from the pharmacist because the over the counter stuff wasn't working. He approached the pharmacist who asked for his symptoms (which is commendable). Unfortunately, my boyfriend was told "hit the f*cking road". In those words. We could understand if he wasn't comfortable selling the product to him for some reason, but to say it like that? That's just horribly rude. We walked out of there feeling so low, it was disgusting. We do not do drugs, don't want to do drugs, he was just looking for some relief and to be treated like that is just ignorant. There were other ways to say it, he didn't have to be so damn rude.

Rude and not helpful
The Pharmacy closed at 1:30 for lunch and re-opened at 2:00pm. I gave 4 prescriptions for my son Anthony and 3 prescriptions for Jesse. I was told wait 45 min. so we returned in 45 min. and were told come back in 10 more min. So we walked around the store and came back in 10 min. We were told to wait another 15 min. I said no, let me talk to a Manager. She took 5 steps to her right and picked up a bag of prescriptions for us. I repeated "Let me talk to your Manager" only response was it will be just a few mins. for the one of the prescriptions for Jesse. She gave the rest to me. Jesse requested that no one can pick-up his prescriptions but him. (this was a few weeks ago.) She ignored this fact and gave me his prescriptions. What was the point in waiting the last 15 min. when she had the bag right there? Why did she give me Jesse's prescriptions when computer said to only release them to him? Why do they close down entirely for lunch? Everyone else rotates lunches. I feel sorry for the poor sap that comes in just before they close up. He has to wait 1 hour and 15 min. Where as everyone else waits 45 min. My son's phone got a call as we were standing there at the counter, stating his prescriptions were ready. We let her hear it and she said well they're not ready. They don't speak good english there either. You can't ask a question because you can't understand the answer. Horrible Experience.

Rude and not very helpful
Ive had multiple problems with my Walmart Pharmacy. They never have our prescriptions ready even when called in days in advance. We wait and wait or come back numerous times before our medicines are ready. Lately we've had trouble getting our insurance straightened out, only with walmart in (Stratford). I pick up prescriptions for my father who lives in Stratford and I refuse to use that Walmart because of their rude service. My father recently had an amputation and needed a presciption filled and they told the VNS nurse who did me the favor to get it because I live far I live in Naugatuck CT that he wasn't in the computer when in fact I know he is because I pick up scripts for him all the time at my friendly neighborhood Walmart in Naugatuck. They even went as far as telling her that he did not exist as ever getting anything from the Naugatuck Pharmacy which I know it's a lie becuase I go there at least 3 times a week to pick up for them. The nurse who was doing the favor for me finally called me on the other line and was telling me the situation. I then offered to fax the information over when I heard the pharmacy clerk tell the nurse that their fax was not working. How can the fax not be working and you are a pharmacy? She just was not helpfull at all and in the buisness their in they need to cater to people. She also stated that the drug she was their to get filled they were out of stock and he would not have it for 2 weeks. When I know they can get it sooner than that. They get shipments ever day and I know this for a fact because me and the walmart pharmacy in Naugatuck do it all the time when they don't have a specific drup in stock. I get it with in 24-48 hours. I think that the walmart executives need to get involved and hire a little more professionl people who know how to handle people. I then told the nurse to get the heck out of that place and I called the Walmart in Naugatuck who took care of me with kit gloves. All walmart hasd to do is call the Naugatuck Pharmacy for the information. The whole situation would have been taken care of but know it's too much to ask of them. They wont do it!!! They're too busy!!! I hate the walmart pharmacy in Stratford and I avoid it like the plague, because they have a bunch of un-educated pharmacy techs working there. I guess the area they are located in counts for their attitude. Sad to say.

I am done with Wal-Mart
Okay I know this is dumb but I really just need to vent. The past few months I have had prescriptions filled at the North Logan Wal-Mart they have screwed up. Now I understand that mistakes can be made but come on, how dumb can someone actually be? I have had them fill the wrong amount on my prescription, I had them try to overcharge me on my prescription 2 weeks ago, when I complained the girl called the insurance company and I was correct they were wrong. Well today my husband goes in to fill a prescription and it was for a 90 qty. Insurance only covers a 30 qty per month on this particular medication which is fine. We have always paid about $35.00 for a 30 qty, well today they tried charging him $60 which he told them that was incorrect and four people at the pharmacy started arguing with him. Well he asked for the prescription papers back and went elsewhere. I called the insurance company and asked them to look it up. They would cover a qty 90 for 78.00 you just have to call in to have it override which Wal-Mart has done on other prescription for me before, and a qty 30 for 35.00. So where they were getting the $60 something from I really don’t know. Needless to say we have transferred all of our prescriptions elsewhere. Before this incident I had quit shopping at Wal-Mart for grocery items since I had a few bad experiences. Since my husband works was so close to Wal-Mart I figured we would still just have our prescription filled there so he could pick them up on the way home. Well not any more. I am done with Wal-Mart. I called to complain and the manager said, “well the pharmacy has been busy since we stared the $4.00 prescriptions”. I laughed what did he really expect me to say, “oh well I understand that mistakes are made” for the 10th time (since this was not the first time this incident has happened to me), or was he simply asking for my advise on how to solve the situation which would have been well hire more people, and if you have a hard time doing that then maybe you should raise the starting wage.

never have all medication to refill perscriptions
I usually call in my 84 year old father's perscriptions in at walmart, seabrook, nh.He doesn't drive anymore and every month when I go to pick up the perscriptions, they never have all of the medications! I work six days a week, my sister is disabled and tries to help, by picking the order for me, but the store never has all of the medication in stock. I realize that other people might take the same meds, but who ever is doing the inventory for the pharmacy is very inadequate at their job. This has gone on for about four years.WHY?

I am too through with Walmart pharmacy
I went into the Walmart pharmacy located on 5500 E. 22nd St. on the 8th of June, 2010 to fill a prescription. Unfortunately, I only received a partial fill, which I was then told to call back on the 10th and they would have it in stock. When I did, I was advised that the remaining amount owed was not in stock yet, and that it would not be until the 14th and to call back then. Now up until this point, I HAD enough meds to hold me over. But when I called again today, Monday June 14th, 2010, I was then AGAIN advised to call back tomorrow because the person who ordered it did it "after the cut off date". I am so livid with this pharmacy because now, I am officially out of the meds I need. And to make matters worse, the person whom I spoke with was so non-chalant and did not even apologize for their incompetantcy and ill-timing on ordering a prescription!!! I go back to my Dr. this wednesday and I am going to have him transfer pharmacies, as I am too through with Walmart pharmacy!!!

Rude Employees
My daughter went to pick up my perscription. The pharmacy has a sign saying it closes at 9pm . First the Pharmacist had another customer cut in front of her after being ignored for maybe 10 mins. Second another employee yells at her that she can help her . Third the employee starts to argue about my birth date. She ask for the date the answer was giver wrong.(If she knew the date????). Fourth My daughter move away from the counter, the employee yelled at her to be there by 8:45. (My daughter was standing in the center isle by then.) My daughter had her two little daughters with her so she had to do some shopping quickly too. She arrived at the window at 8:58. The employees were walking out, the pharmacy was closed. There were two of them and when my daughter said she needed to pick up my perscriptions, they told her she should have been there ay 8:45. The sign says Closes at 9pm why are they closing at 8:45? I thought this pharmacy was there so you can shop and get you perscription convinently. The rude EMPLOYEES at this Walmart may have bad days but we did not tell them to work there or the long hours(IF THIS IS THE PROBLEM). The attitude of these employees seem to be getting worst. The customer services really needs a refresher.

Prescription
This is regarding the walmart that is at 189 Route 46 West, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663. The pharmacy department has lost my prescription and now they are playing the blame game, I just wanted to know where can I complain against them. I have been there 3 times for my prescription but still I don't know where it is.

If anyone knows the number please reply back to this post.

Mean pharmacist
Today I went to Walmart Pharmacy and waiting 2 hours in line for a prescription that I called in yesterday. When I complained about the service, the Pharmacist said "fuck you cunt." These words are very upsetting to me. I told him that he was unprofessional, and he said "go to hell you bitch."

Real nice Walmart.
