identity theft
In June 2011 I was alarmed when I woke up and saw an email confirmation for an order. I hadn't ordered anything on walmart.com for a while. It was for a $200 eGift Card. I never ever purchased this so I replied to the email saying to cancel and someone stole my information. I went onto website to cancel order but website wasn't working for a while so I had to keep checking and when I finally got on I canceled it. Well turns out it never canceled because it showed up on my credit card. So I had to buy a new credit card. I cannot believe there are people in this world who do this to other people. I wish Walmart.com and any other website this happens to others would do something to make sure this would not happen. Also every website should not automatically keep credit card information online. I'm still waiting to be refunded. aaaaaahhhhhhh

no price matching
I have shopped at walmart, both store and website regularly. Normally very accommodating. This time I purchased a step2 Play Up Gym Swing Set for my grand babies, at a cost of $399.97. Within 2 days of pickup, we went almost immediately to get it...had we waited and discovered our problem, we could have left it for them to return without taking it. However we did pick it up, only to discover it was on sale at toysrus for $100.00 less. When I emailed walmart.com about the difference in price, they said they do not match prices..., I pointed out to them that I see the commercial on tv almost everyday telling how they "match it", in regard to prices. I have sent multiple emails including mentioning that at the bottom of the the ads on tv, it says clearly "walmart.com"...this is so frustrating as walmart was a major contributor to my frequent shopping. Very hard to say, "I will never deal with them again". I get more aggravated each time I see those commercials.
Any suggestions, this is pretty new to me as I said, I always felt walmart did well by me over the years.
Thanks, I feel better already, just venting. My grandson absolutely loves the playset, so I have that priceless joy.
Again thanks

I believe that a customer will lose out on any purchase made on walmat.com if any paperwork is lost in this process
I recently made a purchase of a 32" flat screen tv, also a wall mount to hang the tv. I changed my mind about hanging the tv. When i tried to return the mount, which by the way is still in walmart original packaging, I was told I needed a printed out piece of paper in order to return it. I advised 2 separate managers that I make purchases online with my phone and I do not own a printer. They advised me that was not there problem and without a printed out piece of paper there was nothing they could do for me. I advised them that when I picked the tv and the mount up from the store I didn't have to show a piece of printed out paper in order to pick it up. They advised me once again that there is nothing they could do for me letting me know that walmart and walmart.com are 2 separate companies. This leads me to believe that a customer will lose out on any purchase made on walmat.com if any paperwork is lost in this process. This is unacceptable to me and I will make it my personal business to advise as many people through as many avenues as I possibly can about the way people are treated when trying to return a product under walmarts so called easy return policy! I have now cancelled my credit cards through walmart and personally refuse to make any more purchases through walmart or walmart.com! I consider myself to be a good customer and always make payments in a timely manner and if walmart and walmart.com are willing to treat me this way imagine how any other customer will be treated. All this occurred in a walmart store o. A Sunday and please keep in mind that I spoke with 2 separate managers one being a female and the other a male. I also spoke with a walmart.com customer service representative who also was unable to help. None of the three individuals even seemed like they cared to lose a customer or five as I do have a family. My suggestion to any other families is to stay away and support your local businesses, because as we all know times are hard these days without having to worry about getting burned by corporate giants. I will be posting this exact email word for word on as many review sites as I possibly can in order to help any other individuals or families make the same mistake I did!!!

Bait and Switch
On March 16, 2011 I was shopping online for wooden swing sets for my son’s 4th birthday. I found the Adventure Play Sets Columbia Wooden Swing Set on Walmart.com for $399. I was excited about the price, and the free site to store shipping was an added bonus. I shared my findings with two of my coworkers (who will gladly provide written statements), and I also took a picture on my cell phone and sent it to my husband. My husband and I discussed the swing set for a couple of days, but finally reached the decision to purchase it. When I went back online, the swing set was out of stock but still priced at $399. Since the set was only available online (not in stores), I monitored the website almost daily for a couple of weeks for the set to become available again. Finally, on the morning of Monday, April 11, 2011, the set was once again available and I ordered it immediately. Later that day, I went back to the website to check the status of my order and I noticed that the swing set was out of stock again. The status of my order was “in process” but the payment had been made so I assumed I was lucky enough to get one of the limited amounts while they were available.
On Tuesday, April 12th, I checked the status of my order again hoping for a better estimated time of arrival so that I could start planning my son’s birthday party. I was absolutely shocked to see that WalMart.com had changed my order, and that they were shipping a swing set that I did NOT order. I was even more shocked when I found the posting for the swing set that I did order, still out of stock but with an increase in price to $499! I immediately contacted Customer Service via email and instructed them to cancel my order and to refund my money. I took the time later that day to send another detailed email to [email protected]. The response that I received to both of those messages was a generic return policy. I responded to those messages informing them that I was going to file complaints with the BBB and with any blog that would listen, in hopes that such a response would force Walmart.com to address the real situation. They responded and apologized that the swing set in my order was not the swing set that I “preferred.” I believe that Walmart.com baited me with the swing set that I wanted, and once they received my money they switched my order to a less popular swing set that I did not want. Now, I have to wait for a swing set that I did NOT order to arrive before my money will be refunded. Then, I believe that they decided that since this set was so popular, they were going to increase the price.
I am including a photo of the swing set that I ordered, being offered on www.bargainsaddict.com through Walmart.com for $399. This ad was posted on 4/10/2011. This is the swing set that I watched for a few weeks and eventually purchased, but it’s not the swing set that Walmart.com is sending to me.
On 4/13/2011 at 5:59am MST, Walmart.com Customer Service guaranteed that I would receive a phone call within one business day to help resolve this issue. It has been 24 plus hours without any contact.

delivery
Walmart.com states a range that product will be delivered using site to store. Today is the last day of their scheduled time. They have had over 10 days, I tried calling the store it is to arrive at and they became somewhat rude with their "When it arrive we will contact you, if you don't hear from us then it isn't here" attitude. So I asked since it is due to arrive can I take one from the store and you replace it when it arrives. They were like "NO! That would mess up our inventory". They proceeded to explain that my order is coming from another "store" and that is from their inventory not the stores I am at.
The girl was so worried about messing up the stores inventory and less about customer service. The ONLY reason I ordered online was the store did not have any in stock originally but then got some in. My choice was to cancel the order which showed it was on the truck for delivery or wait. I have given Walmart the full time they asked for and the people act as if I am an inconvenience to them... nice. Also, Walmart.com does not offer a phone number to call, they provide an email link. I have not received any replies to my inquiries yet.

repeatedly charge for item never delivered
Ordered product site-to-store. Item not delivered by due date. Cancelled order. Money returned. Told to re-order item. Problem with re-order. Re-order cancelled. Still waiting for credit. Three weeks later walmart.com reverses the original credit to my account. Now I'm out two charges and still have no product. Customer service is useless - they are putting through all kinds of transactions to my card to correct the situation but it just becomes more and more complicated. Bottom line: I'm out double charges for product never received. Buyer beware - if walmart.com can't deliver a product, you can depend on spending hours on the phone and your money tied up for a month or more (I'm still waiting).

Charged money for product not delivered
On December 10th of 2010, ordered two items from www.walmart.com to prep for holidays. Funds were deducted from my bank account next day after order placement. One of the items (Himalayan salt lamps) was delivered as agreed, by December 21, 2010. The other item (White spacesaver with cabinet) was not released by Walmart.com to Fedex for the delivery by 12.21.10 (label initiated on 12.13.10). Walmart.com did not offer any of explanations to the reasons why the item, paid by a customer, has to stay on their inventory. Had to go and purchase another Christmas gift, thinking why it would be beneficial for the seller to keep my funds and my purchase in their possession for such a long time. On December 20th, got lucky and spoke with one of Walmart Customer Service reps, who asked me to call next day to initiate "next" day delivery. Spent about one hour calling Walmart.com customer service next day and day after to learn that no one is going to pick up a call. Had to send a dozen emails through Walmart.com customer service online - Walmart billing dept. responded week after; seems my purchase is going to be delivered after 01/04/2011. As a concerned citizen, I would like to learn how walmart.com used my funds while keeping me waiting for my purchase for a month. Not sure if its legal. Do we have any regulations in place that might offer some protection to a customer?

Theft
I thought I did this yesterday, I don't see it on complaints board. Here's the story. On 10/24/2010 I checked my bank account on line. Someone at Walmart.com had charged $279. 61 on my debit card. I immediatly looked up the phone number for walmart.com & told the guy what had happened. He laughed and said that someone had changed a letter in my email address & used my debit card to charge the $279.61. He said that the item hadn't shipped yet & cancelled the order. He wouldn't tell me who had done it or what they had tried to buy. When I have emailed walmart.com I have been told that I had to file a police report to get any information from them. They did not get the money out of the account, So I don't see what the police report will do. I had to rush to my bank to cancel my debit card. Tell all of your friends & relatives that walmart.com is not secure to order anything from them. Do not give them your debit or charge card numbers. Someone there is a thief. I am a senior on disability, So I believe that this is a crime against seniors.

Poor Customer Service
I ordered a birthday present from Walmart and it was shipped with missing pieces. They finally offered to ship a replacement (too late for the birthday). However, when they sent it, it was a completely different item from what I ordered and I had to ship it back. I still have the first item with the missing pieces which now they say are no longer available. In addition, I keep getting emails saying that they are going to charge my credit card again for the replacement order which I have already returned. This nightmare has taken up hours of my time to straighten out and it still not resolved. No one you talk to on their customer service line seems capable of fixing. I will never order online from them again, it's just not worth it.
