Walmart.com Reviews

Thieves
I´ve bought four computers through Walmart website on May, 19 (order numbers 1317551 and 1317589). The delivery was planned in 2 working days after the approval of the payment, which occurred on the same day.

On May, 21, we received, as planned, four volumes.

When opening the packages, we noticed that one of them (packaged differently), contained only a monitor (by the size of the volume, it´s clear that it´s impossible to put an entire computer inside)!

I've contacted the company in the same day, a protocol was opened for investigation (11551383), with maximum return time of five days, which did not occur.

Since then, several attempts of contact were made and the attendants, often disrespectful, impatient and robotic, instructing just to wait.

After a complaint to one of the main newspapers of Brazil (Folha de S. Paulo), I was contacted by Mr. Cristiano who is promising a solution day by day, which did not occur until today (June, 21).

Given the urgent need of the machine in my hospital, since all the tasks regarding medical consultations and examinations are computerized and the lack of computers was causing complaints of customers (and I, differently from Walmart, care about that!), I bought a new computer in another (and now responsible) website.

Unfortunately, my option to buy a product via internet to save time represented a trouble more than a solution and the case is being reported to all the serious press releases I have contacts and related to the police department soon.

Wii Family Bundle
Walmart.com had a Wii Family Bundle that included a TON of great items at a wonderful price. After doing some comparison shopping we decided that Walmart.com had the best deal and decided to order online from them. We placed the order on Friday, June 18. Since we're impatient, we paid $2.97 for overnight shipping. It stated that the order would arrive between 6/22 & 6/23. When I checked the order status on Sunday, it said the order had been "canceled" (notice the improper spelling that was on their site). I looked in my email to find that the order was cancelled due to a "supply issue". I promptly called them and asked if I could just pick up the items from my order at the store. She was kind of rude and said that online orders can only be picked up if you do Site-to-Store. I asked to speak with a manager because the online listing did not say that items may be low in stock, or while supplies last, in fact the web site says "In Stock". She placed me on hold, only to return to me stating that my order was not cancelled due to a supply issue, but because our card could not be validated! (Was that a fake email then, hoping to keep our money?) Their stupid site allows you to check a box to have the same billing address as the shipping address, but it also changes the name on the billing address line! So, it's sort of our mistake for not noticing. We re-ordered the same bundle over the phone with her. When I went online to check the order status, the "bundle" had been itemized and only one of the games had been shipped! So we now have a Wii game, without the console! I tried to call again today, but they are having "technical difficulties" and I was hung up on by the automated system, but only when I tried to speak with someone. Everything else that was automated worked, I could even track my order! The biggest problem is the email from the original order said that since the order had not been shipped, that our card was not charged. Tell that to my bank! I still have a pending transaction from 6/18 set to come out of my account and another from 6/20 when we re-ordered the bundle! Almost $650 is on hold in my checking account and all I have to show for it is ONE $50 Wii game. I highly advise ANYONE from ever shopping on Walmart.com for ANYTHING! I know I never will again!!!

False advertising
I went online to Walmart.com about 2 weeks ago and noticed a special of Pepsi products for $5.00 a case. I went to my local Walmart and they said they DO NOT HONOR ONLINE PRICES. I asked why, they said because the online prices would always be cheaper. I was pretty pissed. They suggested ordering it online. I went back to the website and there is NO WAY TO ORDER IT ONLINE!! Or any other grocery items.

This is what you call FALSE ADVERTISING. I'm checking with a lawyer about this to see if I have a case.

Logistics
I ordered various items from Walmart.com that promised to have my items within 7 - 10 business days. I did not receive all of my items by the promised timeframe. I emailed them twice regarding my item and I received not one response. I called their customer service (or shall I say lack thereof) and the representative hung up on me. Let's just say that I will not be ordering from walmart.com again and I will highly recommend no one should ever do so. Heed my warning regarding walmart.com...DON'T DO IT!!! For others who have complaints, you should file a complaint with the FTC Bureau of Consumer Complaints and the Better Business Bureau like I did.

Stay away
I'm thinking very serious of not doing the bulk of my shopping at walmart on 200 in Ocala Fl . It's like you don't want people to buy more than 20 items. You have a lot of checkouts for 20 and under but not over unless you check it out youself. should be the other way round! the self check outs are a real pain if you have a big order . Also the people at the deli only half cover there hair with nets and are more into vistting then serve coustermers. All in all i like your store but is not worth the saveings if I have a large order.

Logistics from Hell!!
For anyone out there considering making a purchase via Wal-Mart’s website - please take heed! I purchased an Apple iPod from their website on 6/26/2009 and was advised that the arrival date would be between 7/10/09 - 7/14/09. I received an email from Wal-Mart yesterday - 7/12/09 - stating that my "order is cancelled" and that I should receive a refund within "2 to 4 business cycles". When I called the online customer support number to get further information all they could tell me was that my shipment was "lost in transit" and that they didn't have any more info. I asked to speak to a manager and the rep told me that all of them worked in the “same capacity” and that no one could provide me any further info about what happened to my order - not even the supervisor. Now how in the hell, are they supposed to be the ones to handle the online shipments but can't tell you anything about them or provide any assistance?? Next, I called the Wal-Mart Corporate office and all they did was take my contact information and told me that they would have a manager from the Online Support Department to call me - the same nimrods that supposedly couldn't provide any further assistance from my initial call. In short, I basically received the run-around from Wal-Mart associates and the impression that I should just deal with the shortcomings of Wal-Mart’s logistics. I advise everyone to really think twice before placing an online order with Wal-Mart. I found that especially with electronics, Wal-Mart’s prices are very comparable to other stores like Target and Best Buy - who provide shipments within 24-48 hours! I wish badly that I would have chosen to patronize one of them instead of Wal-Mart. I have learned from this incident and I suggest that you do the same!

Cancellation policy
DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM WALMART.COM... I ordered a pool, paid for shipping to my house because the item was not in my local store (or so I was told when I called. See more about this below). However, the next day I ended up going into my Walmart and found the exact pool that I had just ordered online! I tried to have the store cancel my order, which they could not, so I decided to go home and get back online or call myself. Incredible! Walmart.com will not cancel an order made online, even within minutes of ordering. They said it's because of fraud... what does that mean? What about my legal right to cancel a contract within 72 hours? I am certain my order had not even been processed as it was still inside 24 hours. So? I just paid an extra $27 for a pool and have to wait a week for my kids to use it all because of a zero cancellation policy. I even asked the manager at the store to refund my $27 if I bought another pool off his shelf that day. I was mostly angry because the day before I was told there wasn't a pool at the store and no one could tell me if or when any would be coming in. The manager said that was very likely true, they just got a truck in during the night. He said he was not affiliated with Walmart.com and his hands were tied. Whatever.

Complete dissatisfaction of the order!
To Whom it May Concern:

After I talked to the customer service agent on the telephone for over 30 minutes, I was told that I would get a refund for one complete sweatshirt that was placed on back-order and then never shipped, plus a shipping refund of .84cents twice. I don't think a credit in the amount of $2.11 adds up the cost of the Black NBA Sweatshirt that was never shipped because you were out of stock. I ordered these items for a X-Mas present for my Son & my three Teenage Grandchildren. When I ordered the Four NBA Sweatshirts I was told that they would be delivered before X-Mas. The sweatshirt I had to re-order was delivered December 28th, 2006. (Three days after X-Mas) My original order less the black sweatshirt was delivered January 2nd, 2007. (Seven days after X-Mas) When it was all said and done, one sweatshirt that I had to re-order because the Black X-Large was placed on backorder was never delivered. Furthermore it was not on backorder, you just simply didn't have it, and notified me via email 4 days later and said it was not available. Trying to reach a customer service agent for the great Walmart is almost impossible. When I finally reached a customer service agent today January 26, 2007., she was rude and tried to cover up the entire issue of trying to solve my problem, and never did explain why my X-Mas order was not delivered on time for X-Mas. She also kept saying they were "T-Shirts" not "Sweatshirts" and was very rude each time I corrected her.

You would think a customer service representative would know the difference between a sweatshirt and a t-shirt. Another thing that I don't understand why you ask for all the information such as a phone number, address, etc., etc., because according to your customer service agent you only use emails to notify the customer about a problem.. Why don't you just ask for an email address, because that is apparently the only contact you use with the customer. I could complain for hours about my complete dissatisfaction with this entire ordeal, but I will not. I was a K-Mart Store Manager for a long period of time, and if I would have treated my customers like I was treated, my District Manager would have fired me on the spot. I think I have no alternative at this point to contact the President of Walmart and let he or she know about my complete dissatisfaction of this order.
