Never ever use them
I took my 2000 Ford Windstar in for the rear axel recall on 9/13/2010. Well I dropped it off at 7:30am and recieved a phone call at 9:30am. I returned the call at 11:00am when I got home. I was told my van was unsafe to drive and Ford was not going to release it to me. I am ok with that. So the dealership starting talking about setting up for a rental because it could be a month, two months, or even six before it can be repaired. I was ok with getting a rental. Well I was told it would be ready later in the afternoon. The afternoon came and went. No word. I stopped in the dealership. They said tomorrow morning. Ok I understand these take time. Tuesday, 9/14/2010, morning comes and goes. No courtsey call. I call them around noon to see what is going on. They can't take my call. So I call back around 1:15 and finally get to talk to someone. They say the rental wont be ready until later today. Maybe around 5pm or so. Now I am very upset. I need a car to pick up my kids from school. I ask them how I was going to do that, they tell me "I don't know?" Now I am through the roof. I have been without a car for over 24 hours. So they set me up with a 2005 Ford Taurus until Wednesday afternoon and they would trade it out for a long term rental. So I take the taurus. I need something. This car was so dirty. I would have been embarassed to give that to a customer with my name on it. So I took pictures of how dirty it was. The car would shake when I used the brakes, the gas gauge did not work right, the floors and seats were dirty. There was something sticky spilled on the inside of the drivers side door. I thought to myself it was only a day. Well wednesday, 9/15/2010, came and I went back to the dealership that afternoon to exchange the cars. To my surprise they tell me that they found a rear axel for my van and then continue to tell me that were not going to be available until mid october. Now I am very concerned. I don't want another faulty part in my car. So I call coroprate. They say they don't know of any available. They told me to call the dealership and see if it is a used part and I can refuse it, if it is. So I do. They say it is new and if I wanted to, I could come in and watch them peel the stickers off the axel. Now I am so pissed off I just want my van back. Bad part or not. So I was stuck with the dirty Taurus for another day. They started my van at 7am Thursday, 9/16/2010 morning and had it done by 8:30am. I gave this dealership my cell phone number from day one to reach me because of my job. They never used it until my van was done. They call my cell and my house to let me know my van was done. When I went into the dealership to pick up my van they all ran and left a poor girl to deal with me that has not had to deal with me the whole time and had no idea what was going on. NEVER EVER USE WARREN FORD IN WARRENSBURG, NY for anything. I know i won't again. To top this all off they got paid to give me that rental.
