Happy Customer after refunding December 6, 2009

Here is my 'story' with Auto One:
In August 10, 2009 I purchased an auto warranty. As soon as, I have received contract and I did understand it is not what I want, I called them to cancel in August 22, 2009. I was told to call on Monday – August 24, 2009. I called to cancel in August 24, 2009, was told I needed to do this by mail or fax. I did fax my cancellation notice in August 24, 2009 and they confirmed of receiving my fax.

But when I called in August 26, 2009 to check the status of my refund, I was told they don’t have any cancellation notice from me and I did fax again my cancellation notice.

I was told to wait 4-6 weeks for refund.

It was October 6, 2009 (6 weeks later) – no refund and I called them and again I was told to wait 2-3 weeks.

Then I started to call other numbers in my contract, and I talked with Interstate National Dealer Services, In: Joseph Yankura / Customer Relations Rep, he was very polite & professional and explained me that they don’t have any notice from Auto One about my cancellation. And he sent me by e-mail, their Interstate ‘Cancellation form’ and I did send him filled form back in October 6, 2009. Then I was told to wait 4 more weeks, which I did.


November 10 2009, when I called to Auto One, I was told that they will send by mail check $1600 on Friday – November 13, 2009.


And I have not received and I called to Auto One November 18 2009, I was told to wait 2-3 weeks again. I fell they scoff at me. The same day through the internet, I found Michael Keller’s contact details (he had the same experience as me during refunding his $1500 back from Auto One) and I have contacted to him. He told me, only Bart Treece from KING5 TV in Seattle was able to help him to refund his (Michael Keller’s) money from Auto One.


By following Michael Keller’s recommendation, I did send e-mail with long explanation to Bart Treece on November 19, 2009. He did responded back to me the same day.
All, you just cannot imagine I did receive check from Auto One on December 4, 2009!!!
When I was reading your complaints, I thought, O my God, I will never be able to return my money back. I was working hard to earn this amount of money, and it is big amount of money.
THANKS to Michael Keller’s and Bart Treece I was able to receive my money back!!!

mislead and sold a different warrenty
I purchased a extended warrenty plan in Feb. Last friday May 1 I went to file a warrenty claim on my car and found out that what I need done wasn't covered when I called the company they said that wasn't the plan that I bought. I asked to speak to the guy who sold me the warrenty plan becasue everything I asked him before I gave them my credit card information was all false. The sales mans name was Ryan Smith to find out he was fired for misleading people so I asked to speak with a supervisor they told me that I couldn't get a refund and it was my fault I should of read the contract I told him that when I recieve the imformation I placed everything in my car so that I would have it when I needed it and assumed that I was sold the warrenty package the Ryan told me about and answered all my questions about. Then I asked to speak to his bossm or supervisor he told me there wasn't anyone for me to talk to. so we began to argue so I hung up the phone.
