Pilot Out no hot water
Our water heater went out late this afternoon. We have Master Protection Agreement on our microwave, garage door opener, dishwasher, washer, dryer, and water heater. We called and after a 37 minute wait we finally talked with a rep. We were told that no one would be available to look at the heater until 09/07. Hmmm, that's 8 days without hot water!!! My husband told the rep that this was unacceptable and the response was he hung up!!! Husband called back and talked w/another rep who said someone would contact us in 24 hrs but the repair date was still the 7th. As I used cold water to wash dishes, hair, and looked at the shower with fear, I thought, I think I'll give this Sears another try. After 13 minutes of being on hold I got a rep and shared with her our previous dealing with Sears regarding the water heater. I asked her if she could live without hot water for 8 days. She softly said no. I shared with her how we had almost been stalked by sales people regarding the agreement and that we again took it out for another year. Well, she put me on hold, came back after 8 minutes and said the computer would only give the date of 09/07. She said someone would call me within 24 hours and I asked her if that was a guarantee. She said no. I shared with her that I have a brother who has terminal cancer that I shave and was I expected to shave him in cold water? No answer. I stated that having to boil water for eight days was something I was not going to do. Her response was that she used to have to always boil water. Hmmmmm, what did I say? My boiling water years are over and someone WILL call me by 11:00 am tomorrow or the whole world will know I'm boiling water. This is a begining world!!!
