We are the residents of Petty Crew street, Seppings Road Cross, Bangalore and one of our neighbours (Door No. 1) has been stealing cauvery water since last 3 months.

We never felt short of water prior to 3 months and most of our locality has borewells and Cauvery Water is not a priority to many of them. But for the residents who do not have borewells face the music lately. We've made several complaints to the water supply department at Coles Park but there hasn't been any action this far. They inturn told us someone in our neighbouring houses is pulling water illegally and asked us to find who the culprit house is. We found just 3 days ago this house is stealing water and we've also complained but the officers start work only after 9.30 am and it doesn't serve any purpose if they cannot make it to get hold of the stealers by 8 am.

The water supply department starts the supply at 7.30 am to 9 am every alternate day and the neighbouring house that we referred to has attached a motor pump set to the cauvery water tap and run the motor which takes the share of our water as well. The house stealing water is doing so in order to support 4 families and in total there are 20+ people making the living out of it. They do not have a borewell hence they also depend on Cauvery water only.

We plead the authorities to take necessary action and we do not intend being deprived of water further more like how we've been in vain since 3 months.
