To whom it may concern,
I was employed at the Dunkin Donuts company in Boston on 80 Boylston St. from approximately February 2010 through March 2010. During this short time I was bullied by my manager on a daily basis. From the beginning of my experiences at DD, Rhianna (my manager) was extremely rude and unprofessional. She reacted to everything as if it was a big deal. For example: I was trained at a different location for a total of 3 days and then transferred to the Boylston St. location. Rhianna expected me to work independently without any support or advisement. I felt like I was in a totally hostile environment every time I entered work. On my final day of work I was making a hot cup of tea for a customer and brought the tea to the counter to add cream and sugar to it and the hot tea spilled all over my left hand. Because of how nervous my manager made me feel I was afraid to tell her that I had burnt my hand. Another employee saw my hand just moments after I had burned it and she told the manager. My whole hand had turned completely red and it was throbbing from the pain. When my manager was made aware of my incident she started to scream at me and showed no compassion or sympathy for me at all. For my part it was an honest accident and her reaction was that I had done something inexcusable. Her verbal response to me was "Why would you do something like that, are you kidding me?" and then she just walked away. Another employee helped to comfort me because I was crying and he put ointment on my hand and gave me an ice pack. Then my district manager arrived and had me fill out an incident report and sent me home. I'm not the type that likes to complain and I would've let this go but I ended up having to quit my job and i have never been able to return to work because I cannot be comfortable working for people like this. I am writing this to make you aware of the poor management staff at the Boylston St location in Boston, Ma.
Sincerely,
Olivia Hope Aziz
