possible fraud / scam
Won auction Dec 31 2010 - Keep getting canned response will ship soon sorry for delay due to high volume. Last promised ship date was 1 April 2011. The charged my credit card right away on 31 Dec 2010. Filed complaint with the BBB in Phoenix. BBB told me this morning that BBB Phoenix is transferring complaint to Atlanta. Address wavee uses in Phoenix is a home address. If you desire to file a BBB complaint, here is the BBB information. I figure this will be a loss for me. Next step is to dispute ALL credit card charges and ask the CC company to charge back my debits to wavee. This is an obvious SCAM and all those involved should be put in jail. Just my opinion...

Charged $75 without knowing it happened
Saw ad for wavee. Looked interesting. Signed up, apparently to make penny bids. I thought I'd make a couple, cost a few bucks, what the heck. Placed 2 bids, received bill for $75. Thought I would go change my card info so cld not be charged again. Does not appear I can! Two thumbs down for wavee. Will see if I can get reimbursed, but doubt it. Later, checked bidding and it is as others noted - simultaneous bids from same user. Wtf? How can that be? Nobody is that fast! Conclusion - stay away from wavee and save some money.

items not shipped
I encourage everyone who has complaints against wavee to file a complaint with the federal trade commission ftc.gov. If a long record of complaints against this company is recorded, it could be shut them down or force their practices change.

Scam
On Jan. 3rd, 2011 I won an Amazon Kindle from the Wavee Web Page. According to the disclaimer on their web page, the winnings usually arrive to the winners within 3 weeks. It also stated that if one did not receive their merchandise withing the three weeks, they should call Wavee. After 3 weeks my Kindle didn't arrive, so I called them and asked them were it was. They told me that due to the large number of people that joined their site since the Christmas Holiday, they were bogged down and they told me my Kindle wouldn't be shipped until Feb. 16th. Well, Feb 16 has come and gone and I went back to the web page today (Feb. 19) to find out what was going on with the shipping of my Kindle and the new expected ship date is March 14th.

This is absolutely unbelievable. They didn't hesitate to take my money instantaneously but they have not kept up their end of the deal. PLEASE, let all who are interested know that they take people's money, and don't deliver.

Not TRUSTe certified!! They lie.
I just filed a complaint with TRUSTe (truste.com) since Wavee sold my email address. Here's the reply I got:

Getting spam to unique email address used for their site
In testing the wavee.com service for a client of ours, we signed up with them using the client's domain name and an email address that we created just for wavee (auct2011test-255@<<clientdomain>>.com). That was about 2 months ago.

This email account wasn't used anywhere else, and it is checked only through a webmail site. We're now getting 2-3 pieces of spam email to this address a day, not from wavee, but from all sorts of other sites selling mortgages, viagra, and other junk.

These emails are to the name we used when signing up. So, either wavee sold their address list, someone inside stole it, or a hacker has compromised the site. I asked wavee about this, without reply.

Wavee Scam
ISSUE #1: Wavee voiding my won auctions

I received an email from Wavee (on 01/28/2011) that they have voided some auctions due to technical difficulties. I won 16 auctions during this period (Nov 20 to Dec 15). They voided 13 of them! They returned my bids back to my Wavee account. How can it take over 2 months for Wavee to notice such a big technical difficulty for Wavee that can cause a user to loose 13 of his 16 won auctions?
1. If they want to void the auctions, they have to compensate me for the time that I put in bidding on those auctions, observing other auctions and devising my strategies to bid.
2. If they can void auctions on the basis of technical difficulties, why can't I void auctions based on personal difficulties? I have lost many auctions due to personal difficulties like browser not responding, computer freezing etc.

ISSUE #2: Credits refund from BIG_BALL voided auctions

As per Wavee Terms and Conditions:
11.4 You shall not strategically cooperate with other users in an auction.
However, a group of users including BIG_BALL had formed a collusion. I have reported this issue to Wavee on Nov-14 2010. Wavee didn't take any action for many months. Finally, they closed those fraud accounts and voided those auctions. But they did not refund any of my bids that I lost in playing against these fraud accounts. Shouldn't they refund these as they did in case of the auctions voided due to technical difficulties?
