Impossible to Win
Buyer beware, although technically legal WAVEE makes winning nearly impossible. On an item worth $1, 000 that is auctioned off for say $250, Wavee can make close to $18, 000! It is basically like playing the lottery and should be taken as such. They say you can learn and develop a strategy but when the same item sells for $145 one day and $423 the next your strategy better be spending a lot of money to hopefully save some.
There are several times when purchasing so called free credits a user will block me spending close to 18 dollars to win something worth about the same. It would be very, very easy for any penny auction to rig the game.

Scam, terrible business
I observed several penny auction sites (bigdeal, quibid, etc) before I decided to take the "leap of faith" on Wavee.com. The features that I thought made wavee different were the win limits (which I like), and the reasonable bid to buy prices (unlike some bigdeal.com who had a Kinect for Xbox360 with a bid to buy prices of $200 (the retail is $149).
I bought 3 items using the bid to buy feature on 12/5/10. One of them, I wanted for Christmas, but when I found out it wouldn't ship until 1/6 at the earliest, I cancelled the order. Here it is 1/19/11, and still no sign of my other two items 6 weeks later.
Customer service is terrible. The first ticket I submitted was to ask a question about something I wanted to buy. Their customer service called me back to help ensure I'd buy it. However, when I try to call about cancellations, or to check on the status, it is nearly impossible to reach anyone. I did reach someone today, and they said that even though the order is still "processing" and it's past the estimated ship date that has been revised three times, it might be on its way to me, so "call back in a few days if you still don't have it."
Also, beware of the hidden fees that pop up after you win an item. Don't get too excited about winning that 30 bid package for 25 cents because there's a $1.99 fee right around the corner before you can collect.
Here's another problem...the bid to buy seems like a safety net, right? It makes you think, "I'll bid on that $200 item, and if I lose the auction after spending $150 in bids, I can spend the other $50 and get the item." The problem is, if you cancel the order due to them taking an unreasonable amount of time to ship it to you, all you get a refund for is the $50 extra cash, so be careful.
In addition, my complaints about penny auctions, which may or may not be specific to wavee. Although there are win limits on auctions for products, there aren't on the bid packages (though there should be). It's just not fun to be on a site like that trying to win bids when the same two bidders overbid to win every single bid package auction for a period of time. How can I compete with somebody that is willing or able to spend 25 bids to win 10?
So I don't know if I'd call it a scam, but it's definitely a shady business that makes its money by taking advantage of its customers. Much more of a gambling site than an auction in my opinion. And, unless you're one of the 1% that can devote countless hours to bidding, don't expect any fantastic deals.

Ripped me off
I payed the &75 to this misleading site. After bidding up the credits not understanding that the auction was for multiple items. Once i lost i had the option to use the credits and purchase one of the items for the amount minus the credits. Since i knew i had already lost the initial $75 i went ahead thinking atleast get an item. So all together this dehydrator cost me about $130. They charged my card that day...2 months ago.I have never recieve the item nor can i find a contact number for the company anywhere on the internet. I have taken this as a loss basically but just wanted to let you know it is definatley a RIP OFF!!!

Bad service
According to the guidelines after and auction has counted down to 20 secs each bid causes the timer to go back to 20 sec and no more. I have participated in not one but two auctions and spent over $90 where in a 20 second bidding countdown the auction readjusted its timer to almost 2 full minutes!!! I thought it was a glitch but it happened on another auction the same night. I have submitted 4 tickets to customer service and have yet to hear from them. Soon I will seek legal council to have the remaining money in the account reimbused. I will also report them to the news station that advertised for them - if I do not hear from them soon

Scam
Have won about 6 item from Nov 2010 and haven't received one yet. They say it is due to the holidays. Other companies can ship and you get your items why can't they? They get your money but yet don't deliver the products! Also I have lost alot of bids on winning items due to their counters freezing up. They say it will be taken care of however nothing has been resolved. I keep writing them but no responses.

Rip off
Wavee withdrew %75.00 without my knowledge or consent. That's a whole lot of money just to try it out. I had no idea they made that charge just to try the site. There are many other sites that are much easier and less expensive to use.I didn't even win on a bid. So I really got nothing for my money. They make it sound like it's just a penney, how could you not resist? $75.00 is not just a penney bid! I will not be returning to this site! This is a scam that should be reported.

This web site is a scam!! I joined and was immediately charged $75 which I never authorized! Then when they wouldn't refund my money I decided to try and use the credits to purchase an item and I got timed out and kicked off their site at the end of the auction 4 times. By the time I logged back in the auction was over. I wasted countless hours and dollars trying this site and when I called and wrote to customer support, all they said was I should not have been timed out and they're sorry for the inconvenience. They then charged my credit card twice when I bought a few more credits to give it one last chance. Foolish me!!!

Charged and unable to participate in auction
I paid $75 to have credits to participate in their auction and now they have blocked me from signing on stating they do not recognise my password and have me reset it each time by sending me and email. Each time I reset it it fails again. So I am still unable to even see if I have the purchased credits. I do think this is a total scam.
