After a few conversations with Steve Hugunin, who claimed to own a company called Wazoopi LLC, we chose to do an initial test order with his company for some advertising and marketing. We signed an agreement with Steve Hugunin, supposed CEO of this company after conversations with both Steve Hugunin, and Kent Schoonover, supposed Chief Sales Officer of the company. Per the contract we signed, which was then countersigned by Steve Hugunin, we wired a deposit amount to Wazoopi LLC's business account. We were to begin receiving services paid for nearly immediately.
Shortly after sending payment to Steve Hugunin, of "Wazoopi.com" all communication to us halted completely. After day two with zero communication, which was a large change from communication up until we sent money we became concerned. After more than 10 voicemails to Steve Hugunin's business line and cell phone with no response we began investigating things further.
After some research we found that Steve Hugunin does NOT own a company called Wazoopi, LLC. In fact, Wazoopi, LLC is NOT even a registered company in the state he claimed it is (Kansas) Steve Hugunin supplied us with a Federal Tax ID Number as well. We contacted the Internal Revenue Service, who confirmed this was NOT a Tax ID # for Wazoopi, LLC or anything related to Steve Hugunin. We were also able to confirm the address Steve Hugunin claimed was the "Corporate Office" of Wazoopi, LLC, in which he gave a suite #, etc... is nothing more than a Patio
Home, that DOES NOT have a Suite #, and in fact that exact address does not even exist!
After revealing some of our findings to Steve Hugunin via written communication; we followed up with a phone call to Steve Hugunin using a local area code phone number (813) area code. Just 2 minutes prior, we called Steve Hugunin from our office (using our phone number) and Steve did not answer. When we called him 2 minutes later from a phone number with his local area code, he answered immediately. Once Steve Hugunin realized who he was talking too he hung up on us. Later that day Steve Hugunin followed up with an email to us stating that he knows he hasn't completed his end of the contract but made no mention of refunding us our money (as we had requested) or any mention of working out a solution to our concern.
We have reported Steve Hugunin, and his phony business Wazoopi, LLC and Wazoopi.com to the Kansas Secretary of State, Kansas Attorney General, The Internal Revenue Service, The FBI (since this was an interstate transaction) the Better Business Bureau and the Overland Park Police Department who are currently investigating Steve Hugunin and his fraudulent activities. We have been given case numbers by several of these authorities so it's clear that our concerns are legitimate and that Steve Hugunin is a fraud.
Steve Hugunin is a fraud plain and simple. He provided us with bogus business information, bogus Tax ID's, bogus business addresses, and has ran off with our money. Buyer Beware, anything involving this individual is likely tainted with fraudulence.
