UNAUTHORIZED CREDIT CARD CHARGES
I received my credit card statement back in August and noticed a charged from WC Essentials for Home. I contacted my credit card to report the unauthorized transaction but I was told to contact this merchant to dispute the charges. WC Essential customer service had reassured me that this August charge will be credited back into my Credit card. Four months later after that call to WC Essential, as I was checking my credit card record on line, I noticed that the charges from August was never credited by WC Essential, in fact, they charged again for Sept., Oct., Nov., and December. I filed a complaint to HSBC about these unauthorized activities and HSBC reassured that they will handle these issues with WC Essentials. HSBC had credited those monthly amounts out of my credit statement as of Jan. 6, 2010. Today is now February 3rd, 2010, HSBC had reposted those disputed charges back into my account as they stated that WC Essentials for Home have not complied to their CREDIT REQUEST. I don't know who WC Essentials for Home is, I have not dealt with this merchant at all. I think that WC Essentials for Home is a SCAM and should be looked into by the Federal Government on their unlawful practices. Imagine them charging a person (unauthorized charges that is!) for $16.95 a month, and nothing is being done. If it was me ripping off another person - I would get prosecuted - then why can't WC Essentials be prosecuted? How many other people out there that they need to rip off for $16.95 a month charges before the government would step in?
