I will make this brief and two the point. What wedding planner ANYWHERE would call bridesmaids the night before the wedding to try and scam money out of them? That is just one of the things Carolyn did. The story in long and involved, but know this...She did nothing to help me. I found the church. I will give credit that she did arrange the appointment. I found the rehersal dinner site, after she failed to locate one. No help with invites, gift bags, dress, etc. She lied about "gifting" chair covers then tried to get my bridesmaids to cover the cost. Marriott Hotel staff called her and told her to "do the right thing". With their support, she came through with the promised chair covers...then later kept the monies that were to pay the photographer, so we had to pay again, saying we still owed money. She showed us two reception venues that were WAY over budget and wasted our time and our dollars as we drove 500 miles for these appointments. In other words PLEASE just shop around before you sign. She came to one meeting in sweats that were too long and a stained t-shirt. Not only is she unproffesional, but a liar. How very sad to take advantage of an exciting time in ones life. She claimed to have done "all of Joan Rivers" weddings. PLEEEEASE. Back home and married my niece is now planning her wedding with her planner. The wonderful assistance this women is giving my niece convinced me to go forward with this complaint. One last thought...She agreed to pay us back $135. After saying "oh my my staff must have forgotten", we are still waiting ...it's been 2 months since the wedding.
