Watch out, Do not buy a Weiss home
They make promises and do not keep them. I was promised so many things and have been asking for 2 1/2 years and have been getting the run around. Finally I get a letter saying any promises made will not be upheld. How can this happen. The contractors they hire do a rush job with low quality work. We had to have our floor redone and the contractor said all my problems stem from the contractor not having the floor level before install. Our cement is falling apart and we were promised that the contractor would come out to fix it by one of the employees and low and behold that employee is let go and no one else knows about the promise. I was told to call the contractor. My appliances were to be put in the package at closing and were not included and I got stuck with appliances I don’t really care for but thought I could put up with them for free. I was promised a piece of granite that was downsized at my request. Promised for 2 1/2 years and in the letter I got from Weiss he tells me that granite is harvested from the earth and my granite may have only been an inch bigger than the piece that was installed. He obviously did not know that I went to the factory and handpicked my granite so I know exactly how big it was. I am not an idiot I know where granite comes from. I just feel it is wrong to promise me something, lead me on for years, and then send me a letter stating too bad you are stuck. I guess it is a good thing we did not have a place to live when we moved in otherwise I would not have closed until everything was right at closing.
The biggest problem with them is there are too many people to deal with each promising something and after closing you are not good enough to talk to.
It is better to deal with someone who does not lie and make things up just to get you to buy a house
