I received 3 e-mails from Wellness-hub.com confirming my order for a 14-day trial of some fitness program. Having never heard of the company, much less knowing what this program was all about, I went to its site, only to discover that the "contact us" link was nonfunctional. As a result, I had no telephone number or e-mail address available to let them know I had not placed these orders. There was a place for "feedback" on their page, so I wrote them that way. Thus far, I have heard nothing from them. In the meantime, I did a search on the company and came across multiple sites addressing their fraudulent practices. Most notably, it appears that GotBody.com sells it's customers' personal information (including credit card numbers) to third parties. It was in my research that I discovered ComplaintsBoard.com, and here I am, adding my story to the rest. Like the rest of the people on this site, I have ordered protein bars from GotBody for years and had been happy with my experiences. However, now that I've read all these stories about third party companies using GotBody's data base, I realize that the past instances of fraud I have had on my credit card most likely originated from my business with GotBody. Several companies mentioned in these other complaints are ones who had fraudulently charged me for their unwanted services, and now I know why.
I would encourage all of you to contact the Attorney General's office in Oxnard, CA, where GotBody is located, to file a formal complaint. Also the BBB. Unless everyone who is defrauded reports these activities, Got Body will continue their practices with impunity.
When you report these fraudulent charges to your credit card company, be sure to tell them that GotBody.com is behind this scam. If there enough complaints, surely the Attorney General's office will shut them down. It seems to me the owner should go to jail!
