Inappropriate late fee charges!
I submitted a payment for Dec which cleared my bank on Dec 6 2007 I submitted payment for Jan and Feb on Jan 2 which cleared the bank They sent a statement stating that I owed late fees because they had never received the Dec payment and when I said there was a canceled check with their stamp on it they said they required a copy of my bank statement which shows that it cleared the bank My bank does not give out account information and the customer service department stated that the issue would never be resolved because that was their policy They refused to let me speak to a supervisor stating that they were at a meeting and it was a 24-48 hour wait for a supervisor They refused to give the name of a person I could speak with to resolve the issue.

Harassment over inappropriate late fee charges!
Customer service refused to accept a canceled check with wells fargo stamp which validated the payment was made cashed and cleared the bank stating that I had to send my personal account information of a bank statement showing that it had cleared the bank. They refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor and hung up on me when I asked to speak to one.

Worst company ever!
In 2003 I was approved for an auto loan with Bristol West. About 3 months after having my car I receive a letter stating that Wells Fargo will be taking over my loan because I bank with them and to make all my payments to them now. WTF??? They would not even approve an auto loan to me but now that someone else have they can take over? Whatever!
All the issues begin 2007. First the car breaks down and it cost me $790 for a fuel pump and then the brakes go out and that cost me another $500. They fuel pumps goes out at the end of april.07 and the brakes in oct.07. Even with all these issues I still make my payments but when you r short on money it will catch up to you. Now Dec.07 rolls around and I don't have enough to make my dec.22 payment on time because of all the catching up I have been having to do with my other bills. I call WFAF in Jan.08 to see if I can do a post dated check for Dec.07 payment. The rep says yes but the payment has to be at least $800 and some odd dollar amount because I missed Jun.07 payment and I only paid half of Nov.07. Okay I am lost now. I tell her that can't be because I show that I did pay for Jun.07 and if what she say is true, why is this my first time hear about it? She wants to go over my account from Jan.07. I'm cool with that. She says that I made a payment of $450 something dollar in Jan.07. Ok you are wrong already because I show that I made the amount of the payment which is $421.20. She moves forward to Feb and so on. for two more months she states that I paid more then what my bank records show was taken out of my account. Then she states that I missed Jun.07 but Aug.07 to Oct.07 payments was made but Nov.07 only $250 was paid and that They received a payment of $200 in Jan.08. Okay I tell her that so I missed Jun.07, Nov.07 $171.20 was not paid. Dec.07 and Jan.08 has not been paid so I am $1434.80 behind in payments with notate charges being added. Then she tells me that I owe $1442.34 with late charges. So I say that the late charges are only $7.54? She says that the late charges are $180 and some odd dollars. I say how is that If I am 3 1/2 months behind and that My monthly payments are $421.20. She has no answer. Everything she is saying does not add up from the making a payment of more then payment amount to missing payments. I try to post date a check but she tells me that it is not enough and that I need to pay at least $800. I tell her that when she show proof of this then I can send in the payment but until then I can Pay Dec.07 and I will pay Jan. 2/08/08. She states that my account is 71 days past due. I tell her if that is true then where in the hell is the missing june payment you claim I did not pay because if today is 2/3/08 and counting back 71 days then my account became past due 11/23/07. So where did the payment that you claim u received of $200 in Jan.08 go towards? Again she has no answer but keeps repeating to me that my account is 71 days past due and that I owe$1442.34 with the late fees included. So I repeat my self telling her that if I still owe Jun, Dec, Jan and $171.2 of Nov. I should owe you a little over $1600 but you are saying that I owe $1442.34 so how about u add 3 months of 421.20 up plus the 171.2 you say I still owe and $180 in late fees and see if you come up with $1442.34. She states that she needs at least $800 to do a post dated check and I tell her that I can pay Dec. Which is what I know is late and that I can Jan 2/08. She tells me that she can't do it so I tell her then we have nothing more to talk about and to have a nice day . She tells me that they need to know how I'm going to pay the account and I say when you show proof you will get your money. then I hang-up. I'm to the point now that they can come get the car because they have my money but are acting like they don't and their records show things that are not even true unless a money angel came and gave them extra m0ney on my behalf. What really gets me the most is how the reps. talk to you. She was very rude and kept cutting me off. Well I would think that if someone owed you money you would take any money they tried to give you to make the amount less even after offering $500 now and $342.2 the next week that they would have taken it but I guess they are just to good for my money. What was the real killer was that they say I owe Jun payment but nothing was never sent ot me and they are the type of company to call one day after a payment is due so what really happened with my Jun payment? And if that is true why wasn't my July payment counted as june and so forth so that I would be missing Oct. Payment and that my account would be 100 something days past due. This makes me really wonder if WFAF passes out drugs for lunch to their staff! Im starting to think that they think that we as consumers are not very bright people. I can see if I was trying to get over on them but I'm was just trying to give them the money that I know I owe them and that I myself can prove to them that I owe them. She did not want to see anything that I had to show her that I paid Jun. Now I did call them on 1/30 and was told that I could do a post dated check for $421.20 and pay Jan within the next two weeks but then calling three days later and getting a different story really concerns me. Right now I don't trust anything they have to say and do not care about them reposing the car because they can't tell their asses from their heads.
I would not wish this company on anyone. I have had my fair share of issues in life but sometime things happen that are out of your control and you have to do what you have to do. But the worst of my problem is that I can't even traded in the car because I still owe $6000 more then what the car is worth but without the car I was approved for $25,000. Go figure. Looks like I will be car shopping again real soon.
And to anyone out their looking to buy a car, If Wells Fargo approves you ask them if someone else did also and go with them.

Scam and cheating!
Has WELLS FARGO AUTO FINANCE put BALBOA ins. on oyur vehicle even if you do have your PERSONAL INS.? Do they keep on saying that you don't have ins. even though you have faxed them proof & talked to them over & ohttp://www.protectingtheconsumer.com/confirmation.phpver again to stop their wrong doings... worst of all have they reposed your vehicle b/c of this... well i came across a website where these sets of lawyers are looking into this & it could result as a CLASS SUIT... which will be great for us... heres the link check it out it might be the answer to our prayers w/ this damn company!!!

Terrible service!
My husband and I recently purchased a 2001 Nissan frontier from a Honda dealership, and they chose wells Fargo to finance for us. They even helped us pay off the remaining balance of the car that we had as a trade in. The total finance was something over $14,000. Our credit isn't bad, but the best the loan dept could get was 17.7% interest. WHAT?!?!
The payments weren't bad though, but we had just had our 1st child 2 months later & with the days he missed on non-paid company holidays and my non-paid maternity leave, money got tight. We only owed $740 total, but we had to eat, pay for gas & take care of utilities and rent, the cars just weren't that high up on my priority list. It wasn't like we could live in them if we didn't pay rent, or eat them when we got hungry. I can truthfully understand if I were trying to rip them off and just say "screw them", but we are an average working class married couple with a newborn child, who has their financial ups and downs (who doesn't these days), but we are definitely not trying to not pay for something we purchased. We got 45days past due and these people had been calling 8-12 times daily (on both of our cell phones), from 8am-930pm, 7 days a week trying to collect since the first day it was due on Dec 8.
If I don't have the money, and I tell you I won't have the money until the end of that month (BUT I WILL PAY THE TOTAL AMOUNT DUE + LATE CHARGES @ 1 TIME OVER THE PHONE WITH AUTO WITHDRAWAL FROM A SECURE Federal Credit Acct) , what makes you think that I will have it every time after that when you call BEFORE the time that I told you? That's just plain harassment.
The financing company for my car was way more nice. They understood and waited for their payment WITHOUT calling daily. Wells Fargo CS reps are so rude and disrespectful. One person tells me they will be filing an exemption request for me, and the next tells me that they don't offer that and I needed to pay right then. Figure out what's going on! I finally just turned my phones off & stopped answering them. AND I made the payment, in full, 2 days before what I told them.
To top that off, we had always had full coverage insurance on ALL of our vehicles,Never go without that or GAP insurance, but we got a weird letter in the mail shortly after receiving our monthly statement.We have never had any lapse in policy or terminations of any policy, but it said that they are placing our account under THEIR collateral insurance because we failed to provide proof of insurance. WTF?!?! I started thinking "who didn't do their job at the dealership"? So we fax a copy of the insurance card, mailed a copy to their address, AND have the insurance agent call WHILE I WAS ON HOLD WITH THEM BOTH. They said they would fixed the problem and that we would not have to worry about the rate increase next month. 2 weeks later we received another letter, dated AFTER our previous conversation, stating that we still owed the amount with our next truck payment. I called again and they said they never received a copy of the insurance declaration page. They didn't even have notes on my account about talking to the agent or me during the prior conversation. They say we may have talked to the "wrong financing dept." How many do you have there? I couldn't believe this!
Then I decided to play their game on them. *grins devilishly *I faxed a copy of the information that they needed to the CORRECT fax # AND called them on the correct CS phone # every 30min until they faxed me a confirmation saying that the policy had been canceled and they received the information that they needed. They probably got 14 calls and faxes over an 8hour period :D
I wouldn't wish this company on any of my friends or enemies. They need to be reprimanded from a higher level and I wouldn't even be surprised to see the office shut down. PLEASE DON'T USE THEM!

Unnecessary Ins. added to my car note!
I hate WELLS FARGO, i am going through a similar situation w/ them w/ the insurance not that long ago i had a @sshole excuse my french call me from the collection dept talking about that i needed i am 32 days past due my ass... I pay them & i am barely 3 days past due for jan. payment well he said it was b/c of the ins. I told dim that we were in the middle of getting that resolved & my husband was taking care of that, the rep told me well of course you don't want to fix it b/c you are not listening, my response was first off i don't need your sassyness & he just kept talking over me i got so frustrated plus my preg. hormones kicked in & i told him to get fuck off my phone then & hung up. I know what your thinking i cuss to much but dealing w/ this unprofessionals how can you manage to keep your cool you cant!!! Well earlier today they called & my husband talked to them & to my surprise they said that the last payment that i made they took 1 hundred & something out for the ins. payment mind you i have ins. according to them i haven't had ins. since sept. but yet i was never billed for that until barely this month makes no damn since... even before that i never received any notification stating that i was uninsured for that long back in nov. i changed ins. but prior than that wells fargo sent a letter saying if i didn't get ins. on my vehicle within 10 days they were going to apply the ins. on my acct. & i did so why in the hell are they charging me for it now & saying that i am 32 days past due. I am so upset w/ them i fucking hate their harassments & sassyness i am in a middle of complicated preg. & this the last thing that i need to be worrying about i cant stress over some ish that i don't owe, and to top this off back in november they deposit a postdated ck on the wrong date & overdrawled my acct. We have faxed spoken about this even refused to not pay the bill until they fixed it now that hasnt work b/c they started placing late fees on me for their mistakes now mind you i am not paying a penny of late fees or for that damn ins. all i want is my refund for my overdrawn acct. that they said they would do & have that ins. drama taken care of. I am to the point where i just want to get real hood w/ them or even take it to a lawyer but i cant strain myself like that i have to look out for my health & my unborn childs health. I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO... I REALLY DON'T...

Unauthorized bank withdraw, deny refund
My horror started on Jan. 7, 2008 when one of Wells Fargo Auto Finance Customer Serv. Reps. called to collect Jan. payment. I do understand my payment was late but it was only days late not months. This wonderful customer service rep. took it upon herself to set up an electronic debit from my checking account on Jan. 18, 2008. This was not approved and when we received the confirmation letter of electronic debit I was very surprise since my husband went to the bank on Jan. 17, 2008 and paid cash for our Jan. payment. We called the 800# on Saturday and they stated they could not do anything until it was taken from the bank. They told us to send a letter from our bank that states the withdraw and they would overnight a check. On Tuesday Jan. 22 that was done and my life crashed. The funds were withdrawn the 800# continue to state the same thing and nothing no return phone calls or money returned. My account is at a negative and have no money for my son's Asthma medication, food, or gas. I have lost my mind over this matter, no one will return our phone calls. It has been nine days and I have had to call in at work because my son still does not have his medication. I cannot pay for my weekly daycare fees since my whole payroll check was taken by the bank for NSF's. Everyone keep apologizing but that does no good I need my money back to pay for my son's medication. I have called everyday and faxed letters everyday and still not response. Wells Fargo has disappointed me and I am back on my depression pills and ulcer medication all due to this error they have done to me and my family. I cannot believe a company would treat their customers like this. I can only put my problems in the Lords hand and continue to pray it will get resolved before it is too late.

wells fargo said i haven't made payments in over a year!!
So me and my husband buy a new car thru wells fargo auto finance, in may of 2006. Shortly after, my husband gets orders to go to germany. So we have to have them sign a release paper to let us take it over seas and set up an allotment. All good to go.... So i thought. So then in sept of 2007. I get this letter from wells fargo auto finance telling me i had to call them asap. Mind you by now, my husband had just deployed for 18 months. So i call and they tell me my car is in default, and i owe them $20,000 now... They tell me i haven't made a payment in a year. They had only received 2 payments. I said how can that be it is taken out of my husbands check every month. He tells me i don't want to hear ur excuses. U are just an irresponsible bitch. He went off. I ended up talking to his boss and he didn't wanna listen either. Finally i got someone else to listen and i got all the information that the payments had been being made and never returned by wells fargo, i submitted it and still to this day they haven't fixed my credit report, they won't return my emails, i did a bbc and they told them it isn't any of their business. I've called, they won't talk to me or help me out. So it looks like i bought a new car, made 2 payments and said screw it i am in another country. Then one day in early november they wrote me and said they got my documentation and they had to research this and see were the money is, mind you i still have an allotment coming out for this payment and they still aren't getting them. You have a f****** thief in your work and you are investigating and not fixing my credit report, after i just gave you the proof of payments. I now have a military lawyer trying to help and they still will not respond. So now i was told by the http://www.occ.treas.gov/consumercomplaint department that handles and oversees the banks, that they aren't allowed to do this and it is the fair credit reporting law, that states that if proof is shown of a false report they have to fix it immediately, even if the have an internal investigation pending. So i am going to try this approach and if it doesn't work i am going to see if i can find at least 4 people hopefully more and do a civil class a lawsuit against them... Someone has to teach these big companies that the law applies to them as well..

Harassment!
Wells Fargo was the first company to offer a loan payment i could afford on a new truck. LIFE WAS GREAT!!! Or so i thought.
Three days before the payment was due, they began calling me 4-5 times a day. When they finally caught me home, they wanted to know where the money was. My response to them was 'Check your incoming mail,' 'I mailed the payment to the address provided.'
There response was that they check there post office box one time a week. I said to not call me until they do check it and to only call if my payment was not there because it had been mailed five days earlier. They did not stop calling. Fast forward three months later. I get part of an estate settlement check from my deceased parents estate. I mailed them 6 months worth of payments at 1 time and notified them what i had done and to call me when they received it.
They called... every working day for three weeks straight wanting to know when i was going to make another payment. I lost my temper and told them that IF they ever called my house again and my payment was not late... The next person they would hear from is my group of lawyers that i had on retainer for matters not of there concern. They backed off for three days. Long story being cut short... My lawyers at the time called and laid down the law with them.
Fast forward 8 months later... my payment was mailed late due to me considering the heat and air unit getting fixed was more important.(I.E. my family's comfort). They come and got the truck before my check hit there door step. When they notified me and apologized for taking the truck... they said 'we will give you directions to were it is being stored.
THEY TOOK THE DANG THING TO KANSAS CITY KANSAS!! That is about 6 hours from where i was living at that time. I told them to keep the @#$ thing and to never ask for another dime and that if it showed on my credit report... i would file a law suit against them. We went to court in September of 2007... I WON!!! They claim that they will appeal but i haven't seen anything yet.
DO NOT take a loan with these crooks!!

Taking a payment out of my checking account with my knowledge cause of a system error!
Made a phone payment on Oct. 12th 2007. I did the whole automated system where it ask for you account number and checking information. After entering all my information the phone system said there was an error and they would forward me too and operator/banker to take all my information. After doing all of that I started to receive letters from my bank that my account was over drawn and starting getting overdraft fees. Not knowing anything I used my debit call that weekend (Oct. 13-14) and thought everything was okay. Went to the bank the following Monday (Oct. 15th) to get a print of my banking statement too see why my account was negative. Comes to find out Wells Fargo Auto Finance ended up taking the payment that the operator took out plus the payment that I tried to make through their automated system. The automated system never game me confirmation number or anything saying that the payment had been accepted.
After getting my bank statement I called up Wells Fargo to see what was going on. On hold for about 10 minutes and I get a hold of someone in Pennsylvania and let me say they are so rude and stupid. I told the operator about my situation and she kept cutting me off not letting me complete a singe sentence. After being put on hold numerous times the operator told me to fax my bank statement to her. Then she said that there was a system error with the automated phone system and they apologize for the error. I was a little ticked at the time but kept my cool and asked her what am I suppose to do for money since it was Wells Fargo error and not mine. After sending about 10 faxes to Wells Fargo, they kept saying there weren't getting them even though I got the confirmation letter back from my fax machine. So finally after a week and ended up going to the local Wells Fargo Finance place and talked to one of their people. I must say the guy was very nice and helpful. But the operator gave the guy at the Wells Fargo Finance place the run around as well. I had him fax my bank statement from their office and they called my late Friday night saying they got my fax but couldn't read it. That's kind of funny since I put for them to call my cell phone on the fax and they called, but couldn't read the fax. So know it's been a whole week and nothings been taken care of.
Come Monday morning (Oct. 22th) and I called Wells Fargo and I talk to a operator in Tempe, Arizona. She asked for me to fax my statement to her and she would look at it. Well I called Wells Fargo back a couple of hours after I faxed and wanted to confirm that received a clear copy of my fax. I ended up getting a hold of an operator in Pennsylvania and she was unable to forward me to someone at the Tempe, Arizona office. So I talked to the floor supervisor for the collection department in Pennsylvania. The guy said that I could go to the bank and they would take money from the Federal Reserve and Wells Fargo would pay for that. Went to the bank and told him what the guy said and they just laughed. Lucky my bank was nice enough to take money out my checking account even though it was in the negative. Thanks to Wells Fargo error my checking account was $900.00 negative and all they could say was were sorry. So whenever I called to check on my account I would ask the operator when she asked for my account number if they were in the Tempe or Pennsylvania office. I will say that the people in Tempe are a lot more friendly then the Pennsylvania folks.
I also requested that they call me when they got my fax and never received a single phone call. So when I was talking to a operator they told the would email a certain person and tell them to call, never heard my phone ring. Finally I received to checks in the mail. One for the extra payment they took out and one for some of the over draft fees that my bank had charged me.
I guess I just want everyone to know not to do business with Wells Fargo cause they don't give a hoot about their customers and are extremely rude. I even had on manager tell me that "we are paying you back so I don't seeing it being a big deal". Talk about pushing the wrong buttons. So know I'm waiting for another check for the overdraft fees to get my checking account out of the negative. I also asked the Wells Fargo dummy why they call me when I have payment that is one day late and take my money out the same day but they can wire money to my account. I wish me luck I'm about to call them here shortly too see what the status of my account is.
