Never again
Wells Fargo Auto attempted to contact us at our home regarding a late auto payment and when they couldn't get us, the contacted our next door neighbors (whom we don't know) and asked them if they knew us. They proceeded to ask them to come to our house and return the call. That is one of the most unbelievable things that I have ever seen. With this company for 7 years and 2 auto loans and this is how they treat you when you are late with your payment. Never again will I ever use Wells Fargo or any of its subsidiaries.

misplaced payments. Credit damage
Wells Fargo claims i do not have auto insurance on the vehicle the loan is on. Insurenace has been proven on paper from myself, my insurence agent, and my insurence provider. They acknowledge i have been insured, but continue to add the $200 per month for "no insurence, have not credited the money i have paid into the "insurence" like they claimed, and now have put over 12 months of phoney 30 day late charges on my credit and have completley destroyed it. (i pay more than monthly amount but they take first $200 for "insurence", = late)

Insurance
I have been being harrassed since April of this year. They have tried to say that I have not provided them with current insurance coverage after I changed insurance coverages. I had my Insurance company send the information to them at least twice, I then had to get onto a website to enter all of the information myself. Now even though they know I have never lapsed on insurance they continue to keep adding the extra insurance to my payment and they expect me to pay this extra charge along with late charges then they will credit it back to my account is what they tell me. I feel as if someone in this company can figure this problem out and take these charges off of my account and cage up the collections team who are rude to customers. I work in a service industry and I hope that some day these people collecting debts would realize it is not they're personal monies and that in some instances the customer is right there has been a mistake.
Could someone please help me?!?!?!

Harassing Phone Calls and more
We purchased a used car from a dealership that has now gone out of business. We purchased our own insurance. The car payments are made within the grace period. Wells Fargo increased the payment of the car and to pay for their insurance, Balboa. We protested and faxed information to them on our insurance coverage. No lapses occured. Wells Fargo continued to pay Balboa despite our protests and lowering our payment to only pay for the car. They continued to pay Balboa and made harassing calling to us to tell us at work, home and my job one time. These calls are made several times a day to my daughter and I. We have faxed information over and over again to show that we are current. They have now lowered my credit score but reporting me as delinquent in the car payments. I believe them to be a predatory lender with unfair business practices. The workers are rude, not all I must say, but the ones that are rude are nasty. I want to sue them to have them restore my credit score as I am undeserving of their unfair reporting and I refuse to be bullied into paying fees which I do not owe.

Unauthorized billing
August, 2009; I called WF to make a payment because their website was down. I usually make my payments on line because it is free of charge and fast. When I made the payment on the phone I was advised that I should go ahead and set up another check for next months payment because the site may still be down. I went ahead and did that. They wanted to charge me $12 for taking my 'check by phone' and finally I got them to waive the $12 because it was not my fault their site was down. My husband has been out of work since May, so when the time came for the following months payment to come out, we were not going to have the funds. I called WF and asked them to post date the check for another week, until I got paid, so I knew the money would be there. They said ok. They tried putting the check through anyway which cost me a NSF fee. I called WF the day I got paid to advise them to put the check through, which they did that evening. 2 days later they put it through again which took my account into the negative. They took 2 car payments from my account when I only authorized one. They also charged me $12 on one of the checks. My next car payment is not due until September 13th! It is only Sept. 5th! I called WF to have them put the funds back into my account and not only was I hung up on twice, I was sent to someone's v/m that I didn't know I was being transferred to. So my fourth attempt at calling them back, I finally spoke with a manager who told me that she could not put the funds back into my account because' I didn't bank with WF' and what I need to do is fax over my bank statement showing the 2 withdrawls from WF, call back in 24 hours to make sure they got it, give them another 48 hours to cut a check so they can put it in the mail!!! In the mean time, my account is negative (thank God I was able to put some money into savings otherwise we would have no money to live on until they sent me the check). Its funny, when they want their money, they threaten you and make you western union it - spending more of your money so they can get their money on time. But when THEY make a mistake, not only do they not care that you are being charged NSF fees due to their negligence, but they make you wait over a week to get your hard earned money back. Wells Fargo sucks! We all know they have the capability to reverse funds as easily as they do to take funds. BTW - I was advised that WF does not advise their employess (the people that take your personal banking information for payments) to advise their customers they will put a check through 3x until it's paid. So, basically, when I called to advise the money was in my account, they took it as another 'check over the phone' which I DID NOT EVEN GIVE ANY BANKING INFO THE 2ND TIME I CALLED. charged for insurance even though i have my own insurance
I was told when I purchased my vehicle that I had to pay for additional car insurance through Wells Fargo in order to keep my vehicle. Two days ago (which is 1.10 years later after the purchase of my vehicle), I was advised by their Collection Agent, Leon Knight that as long as I had my own insurance I did not have to pay for their car insurance as well. I had both car insurance agents (1-Nationwide and 2-Allstate) call Customer Service and the agents were provided with fax #'s to provide my declaration pages. I was told that everything was Ok, but my lack of trust for Wells Fargo at this point, I have decided to put everything in writing. So today (June 18, 2009) I wrote a letter following up on what has transpired. I have suffered immensely financially and got 3 months behind on my payments at one point, being threatened with a warrant for my arrest and the vehicle being repossessed. I should be compensated for pain and suffering damages for Wells Fargo being so negligent.

Harrasing Phone calls/Violation of FDCPA
Everything I mean everything you read on this website about wells fargo is true. The violate FDCPA laws daily. They will call you early in the morning at time before 8:00 am usually around 7:50 and leave messages all day long. They will continue to call your references that was on your loan application everyday. They called my parents house back-to-back for 30 minutes because my dad refuse to take a message. They will call you 1 day after your payment is late and every customer service rep. you speak to will have a different answer to your question and account. Another scam they try is to add insurance to your vehicle even if you already have it. Then you have to go through hell to get your insurance company to prove to them that you were insured. That is just the tip of the iceberg after you prove to them you had insurance and still does they will refuse to remove the insurance charges they added to your vehicle and attempt to repo your vehicle due to late payments. I have contact my attorney general office to report the abuse of phone calls and harrasment form this company. They have the worst customer service in history and you do NOT want to conduct business with them. Below is a link to the FDCPA website and a list of common violations which I know they blow out the water based on the complaints on this website.Also, when you fall behind one rep will tell you, your qualify for an extenstion the next person will deny it and they all have different qualification guidelines and forget talking to a manager they just pass the call to a neighbor who is rude. They have no respect for the law.
PLEASE HELP STOP THESE PREDATORS WHO PREY ON PEOPLE REPORT THIS ABUSE TO YOUR ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. NOW.

PLEAS BEWAR OF THIS COMPANY!!! EVERYTHING YOU HEAR IS VERY TRUE!!! THEY HARASS YOU WITH PHONE CALLS WHEN YOU ARE ONLY A FEW DAYS LATE. I WOULD GET ANYWHERE FROM 5-10 CALLS A DAY, EARLY MORNING TO LATE NIGHT, WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS, EVERYDAY. SOMETIMES EVEN AFTER I HAVE DISCUSSED THE SAME ISSUE WITH 5 DIFFERENT REPS! THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO COMPASSION!! THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUDE AND WILL NOT HESITATE TO TALK DOWN ON THEIR CUSTOMERS. ONCE THEY TRAP YOU IN ON A LOAN THEY WILL TREAT YOU HOWEVER THEY LIKE. AND PLEASE NEEEEEEEEVER EVER EVER EVER TRUST THEM WITH YOUR BANK INFORMATION OR YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS INFO, BECAUSE THEY WILL USE IT (WHENEVER THEY FEEL YOU ARE BEHIND) WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION. I GOT BEHIND ONCE AND I USED MY MOTHER'S ACCOUNT INFO. SHE WAS SMART AND WENT AS FAR AS CLOSING THE ACCOUNT A WEEK LATER B/C SHE DID NOT TRUST THEIR COMPANY. MONTHS LATER THEY ARGUED ABOUT THE CLOSED ACCOUNT WITH ME. BECASE THE STUPID REP ADMITTED THEY TRIED TO GO INTO IT AND IT WAS NOW NON EXISTENT. LONG NOVEL SHORT, THE COMPANY WAS SO HORRIBLE THAT I DECIDED TO TURN THE CAR IN!!! TO TOP IT OFF THEY SOLD THE BRAND NEW CAR (1 1/2 YRS OLD W/ LOW MILEAGE) FOR $6OOO AND NOW CALLS ME SAYIN I OWE THEM $12000. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I REFUSE!!! THEY WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER DIME!! MY CREDIT IS SUFFERING BECAUSE I MADE THE MISTAKE OF NOT RESEARCHING THIS COMPANY FIRST!!! Payment not authorized on date
This company has done this to us twice in the past 9 months. Ok, I know my payment was late but in this economy that is the way it is. In May 08 they did the same thing took out a payment on a date prior to when it was suppose to be done. I figured it was human error. Back then they did not refund the payment and the bank we were at did not do late fees, lucky for us.
However, this time the payment was taken out 10 days prior to authorization date, and our new bank does late fees. This is a nightmare. Our only hope is we caught it in time with me checking online banking everyday and the bank will be able to send it back to them for insufficient funds in our account. When they call for payment and a date is given for them to take it out thats the date the consumer expects for a reason. I'm hoping our bank can stop payment and sock it to them. Yes, we will still owe the payment but on our terms on the date they were told. If you have these people for a loan NEVER DO A PHONE PAY OR ANY TYPE OF PRE-PAY!!! NEVER!! There should be a suit brought against them!
