Wells Fargo Denver should be fired
/name removed/ is a "relationship manager" at Wells Fargo. My company has put over $8, 000, 000.00 through Wells Fargo so far in 2008 and we are in the process of winding our accounts down and moving to another bank. After /name removed/ made an error in my account to the tune of roughly $82, 000.00, I told him I was going to his superiors. He responded by lowering all my charge amounts on my debit cards and changing my account status (all while charging upwards of $3, 000.00 per month in fees). I asked MULTIPLE times to be assigned another banker and when I asked him finally again in November, he said he was "shutting down my accounts." I am a valuable customer of Wells Fargo and I will assign a member of my staff to stay on this until he is reprimanded. In addition, /name removed/ MISREPRESENTED the nature of the accounts he was putting me in (including the massive fees) so he could get his small commission. A simple look into the accounts will demonstrate that there was no need for the accounts I was sold. He said it would be "around the same cost, but better service." Neither of these statements were true. Wells Fargo needs to monitor sales staff not only by sales numbers but honesty. An upgraded account is not worth losing a lifetime customer like my family. I will have my staff check in on /name removed/'s status at Wells Fargo every month until he is let go or reprimanded severely. In talking to other bankers in Denver and surrounding areas, they have agreed with me that he is unethical and should not be employed by your company. The problem, is his branch manager from what I have learned benefits from having strong numbers from him and is far too eager to look the other way. I am sending certified letters to every single branch manager in Colorado telling specifics about my experience with /name removed/. I am also telling other banks in Denver and all of their branch managers my experience with /name removed/ so when he is fired for doing dishonest things to another high valued customer at Wells Fargo, he will not be able to take advantage of another customer through another financial institution. I'm also contacting the Attorney General and the media. This is my public service so /name removed/ doesn't continue hurting customers at wells fargo.. /name removed/ was left several messages from me and never returned the calls.
My Desired Resolution:
I want /name removed/ to be repremanded and his boss to return my phone calls. I want to be notified when something is done. This has cost me tens of thousands of dollars and far too much of my valuable time.

Overdraft fee rip off
First, let me say I made the mistake of overdrawing my account. There was one large check for over $4, ooo, then several small checks and debits which all cleared the same day. This bank works it out so the large check is debited first, depleting the account so all the other small charges rack up their $35 overdraft fee. What could have been one O.D. fee becomes $315 in O.D. fees assessed in one day! What a racket. How is this legal? It's two weeks before Christmas and I feel as if I have been mugged. I need a bail out.

Poor customer service
Wells Fargo erroneously withdrew over $1, 000.00 from my account. On investigation they admitted it was their error. Despite this it still took them over 7 days to return my money. Their explanation - "It is our policy to take this loong to return your money, even though it was our mistake."

Overcharged
We have been customers of Wells Fargo bank for about two years. We are currently in the process of seeking out a more honest bank to switch our accounts to.
Wells Fargo has made it a habit of fabricating overdraft charges every month and in all has probably stolen more than $1000 from us by doing this. They do this by 'moving around' charges so that if we come close to 'going over' they can charge more overdrafts by putting smaller charges towards the end.
They do this by charging Overdraft fees on the SAME day we make large deposits. They do this AFTER we have deposited the money; acting as though it was not yet in there.
They do this by placing a 'hold' on our PAYCHECKS when we deposit them. Our PAYCHECKS!! They will not clear them until midnight that day or sometimes not until midnight the NEXT day. These are paychecks from known, reputable companies.
Despite REPEATED efforts over the years (ten+ times) of talking with a banking representative, they have only agreed to take off a charge ONCE. Most all of our phone calls to the bank results in them 'talking down' to us and suggesting that we manage our money better.
This company is shady at best and does NOT have the customer's best interest in mind. We would very much be willing to participate in a class-action lawsuit, if anyone is pursuing one.
I would definitely recommend that people watch out for this bank and not let them get a hold of your hard-earned money like they have done to us and so many others.

Fraud Charges to a Closed Account
On 11/2008 i closed my account with a banker Vic Jenkins at the above location, Vic told me "your account is closed". Then cut up my visa debit card there in front of me and my father. Exaclty two weeks later 11/19/2008 wells fargo hits my "closed account" with a "monthy service fee" of eight dollars. On 11/24/2008 my "closed account" was again charged, this time by Blockbuster video for sixtyfour dollars. 11/26/2008 my "closed account" is refunded sixtythree dollars from Blockbuster video. Meanwhile my "closed Account" has accumulated negative fiftyone dollars in charges from Wells Fargo when again on 12/3/2008 my "closed account" recieved a eight dollar charge from Xbox Live. My "closed account" with Wells Fargo is currently - $104.00. When i recieved all this information i told them i would give them ten dollars and that the rest of the nintyfive or so dollars was all charges from them on a an account that they told me was CLOSED. I was told two days in a rowe i need to speak with the manger each time no manager was there that could "reverse my fee's". Im still waiting today...

Wells Fargo Bank;Overdraft charges
In late October, 2008 my checking account was overdrawn on 3 items, and the same 3 items continued to hit and accumulate overdraft charges at $35 a crack. There was another item that showed up that was an error and should not have been there at all...again, more OD charges hitting multiple times. The OD fees were so excessive that any money I did get I needed to live on and could not sacfifice to these fees. Finally almost 60 days later I got a nice check for about $1200 and cashed it and went to see my Wells Fargo Branch manager. Matt Kaillail is the biggest asshole in the world. He never did return any of the calls I made and as I was forced to deal with a Personal Banker named Tamieka, she was the go betweeen. Even she was not professional enough to return calls except when I came into the branch on a daily basis trying to chase down a answer. I was told that Matt had the information was on vacation and would "Take care of it on Monday". so believeing this jerk, I deposited $800 to bring my account current thinking that Take care of it would mean reversing the almost $600 in OD charges that had accrued to date...these fees are pure profit and can be waived and it is no skin off anyones nose! Instead of calling me as Tamieka promised he would, I got a call from her telling me that he had looked into it and because there was no "Bank Error" he was not going to reverse the fees. Basically they stole from me $600 I badly needed to pay bills etc. I went through this last week', my 9 year old sons birthday and Thanksgiving weekend with virtually no money because of this lying no count thief at the Wells Fargo in McKinney! I intent to find out who his boss is and start chewing my way up the food chain until I get my $600 back and get this asshole fired! This is not the way to tell your customers that they are important to you and you want to keep them. Matt told me this morning when I went to visit him in his office. "If you cannot manage your account it is not our fault". What a jerk! I will tell everyone I come in contact with to stay away from WF and especially that branch and that bald headed asshole Matt Kaillail. I opened up an account with what little money I had left with Bank of America and told them all to F off!

Overcharged
I agree to the woman with the file #379797. Wells fargo is making money off honest people. The bank says that they don't have to tell you anything about overdraft charges or when the cut off of deposit for the same day!! I have asked the employees of the Rohnert Park Branch, they say that they don't have to answer the consumers questions. I owe OVER $100.00 in overdraft fees, they don't tell you that when you use your ATM card for purchases that they can take it out TWICE!! Which is really unlawful, the merchant gets the cut and so does the bank! If i am going to use my ATM card to purchase one thing, i will NOT be charged for it twice!!! Plus if they don't close your acct when you tell them to, they add on a $5 every day until you pay for their mistake! THERE SHOULD BE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!

Imptoper Hold on Check
I recently Received a check for 1, 000 from a friend to help cover my rent for the month of November 2008. I deposited it by Atm on a Saturday, Expecting the funds to clear by wednesday or thursday. When the money failed to appear I called the National Customer Service Line and was informed that a 21 day hold was placed on the check because they could nt verify funds in the acccount the check was drawn on. Which is laughable because my friend is a multi-millionnaire, and the account is an Assets Management Account, that liquidates assets on demand to cover checks drawn on it. I called my friend and she called her bank, and they faxed over the information supposedly necessary to release the hold. Should be end of story...but NO...
This Woman Erin I'm forced to deal with promised she would get right on verifying the funds, making sure the hold was released.
She did nothing of the sort! She spent the next 5 business days avoiding my calls, claimed she never received the fax, refused to return my calls, and gave me the run around at every turn.
By this time, actually even before all of this rigamarole, the check had cleared my friends account!!! Wells was holding on to MY money to verify there was funds in an account they already knew was Solvent!!! I have been to the bank personally now three times in an effort to have this resolved, I have personally contacted the bank in Missouri and spoken with the account rep. and she has been more than helpful in attempting to help me resolve the matter.
Today I went in and waited for ERIN to return from a leisurely jaunt to go get some iced coffee with her co-workers, when she returned I expressed my exsasperation, that I was facing eviction, that I had already called the bank in Missouri and the account rep there was ready for a phone call to get this straightened out, and one of her co-workers blithely informed me she needed to make a conference call for this, and wouldn't be available for another hour!!! I said I would return at 10.30 sharp, that I was determined to get this matter resolved this morning, today by the latest! I am definitely moving banks as soon as this fiasco is over.

Terrible experience
First, Wells Fargo told me that a cashier's check is as good as cash. So I sold an expensive camera on Ebay for $15, 000 and the buyer gave me a cashier's check. I took it to Wells Fargo right away and they refused to cash it. I said 'You guys told me a cashier's check is as good as cash. What's up? They just kept saying 'We don't know if there are funds to back it up.' I said 'Well then why are you telling me it's as good as cash? I wouldn't have taken it if I had known that wasn't true.' They had no answer.
I finally cashed it at the issuing bank (Sumitomo Bank), but it was a huge hassle. So yes, I also have a problem with Sumitomo Bank. They only had one branch in Northern California, I had to go there, they detained me for an hour while they figured out if the check was real, and they refused to give me a new cashier's check (only cash). The CSR said 'why do you want a cashier's check? You already have a cashier's check.' I said, 'I don't want the person who wrote it to be able to stop payment.' That just opened a can of worms because now they considered me suspect.
They also made me fill out an FBI form because I was receiving over $10, 000 in cash (after deciding they would not give me a check). So I walked through San Francisco with $15, 000 in cash to my bank. I was a little bit nervous. I then had to sign another FBI form and sit there for about another hour because the previous bank ran out of $100 bills and issued the $15K in small bills (again instead of a God Damn check).
Then I deposited about $4000 in checks in a Wells Fargo ATM. 4 checks. Suddenly checks I was writing were bouncing. I called WFB and said 'what's up?' They said 'You deposited an empty envelope.' I said 'No I didn't.' They said 'We'll do an investigation. It will take 10 days.' They finally found my checks, but in the meantime all the checks I had written bounced and I looked like an asshole to everyone I had written a check. I use a credit union now. Don't use Wells Fargo. I hear B of A is just as bad. Don't use Sumitomo Bank either. I have more info, but this is taking forever.
Use a credit union. They don't fee you to death, they don't have to pay taxes so they don't screw you over.

illegal action on innocent bank customer in regards to identity theft
In 2002 I signed as a loan based on a personal agreement with the president for IBE (International Business Exchange) I was paid $50k as a silent partner. In the end the company went bankrupt and I was never informed and move out of the country. In the meantime the bank went after the partners and in the course of this they actually went after someone with a similar name as mines. The person has been fighting Wells Fargo for four years and I was never informed as to this mix up. Over the weekend I was contacted by the ex-President and he informed me of the mix up. I felt so bad about this and Wells Fargo has ruined this man life and I am so sorry so trying to do the right thing I contacted the bank today and was just shocked as to what I was told.
I told the Post Judgement Account Officer Brent Westman who I was and that I was the person he has been trying to contact and he has been filing legal paperwork against the wrong person. He asked me my social security number and name and pretty much told me he has a judgement and that I had to go to court in order to resolve this. I told him I would meet him at any bank in Modesto to resolve and resolve this mix up to resolve his actions against an innocent customer.
Wells Fargo bank has taken this customers saving, checking, garnish this gentleman wages, he was laid off his job due to this adverse action by Wells Fargo Bank and this Mr. Westman has taken it upon himself to ignor any information that could have cleared the customer. I am not understanding how a bank can just treat a customer this way and take his money and void his bill pay on-line to cancel his payments then put the money back in his account and then take all his money and apply this to this debt that doesn't belong to him.
I went to the county records office today and found the documents and it is Prime Loan/Judgement # 3792923057-26 filed in Alemeda county court. The paperwork doesn't match up to me or the other person but it has bit and pieces of both of us which is quite odd. How can a bank get a jdugement when it doesn't have the correct information 100% yet can do whatever they want to harm an innocent person.
I was told that I have to get a lawyer and sue Wells Fargo and all I was trying to do was let them know I am the person who signed for the loan and they have been attacking the wrong person. This is a financial business and someone needs to report this. I am trying to find someone at Wells Fargo Bank high enough to complaint and have this corrected. In the end I shall sue Wells Fargo and I hope the customer who has been treated this way does the same.
Regards,
Joel Miller
