Ill-Mannered Collections Manager
I received a call from a Wells Fargo Collections Manager in regards to my student loans. I am currently in school so it was strange to me why this lender wanted to speak with me so urgently. As he started he said that my loan was in collections and I needed to pay (an absurd amount) or else. I began to explain that I should not even be in collections and suggested that he go back in the paperwork and research. He stated "that is not my job and I really don't care...you need to pay...you better ask mommy or daddy for the money!!" I continued to try to explain that I was responsible and called my school to fax a letter to the student loan department stating that I was currently enrolled. Again, he made additional comments stating that I was trying to be evasive and not pay. I tried to explain to him that I am a student with Multiple Sclerosis and I live at home he seem to become inflamed at that point and started making crazy accusations, cutting me off and just repeating that my situation is not his problem, he really does not care and basically I don't want to pay the interest on the loan. At that point I got angry and made it clear that I was getting upset. I then made the decision to hang up the phone and file a complaint. I do not appreciate being bullied over the phone nor will I tolerate being made to look like a deadbeat dirt bag that can't handle responsibility!! If that is the way Wells Fargo wants to do business I suggest bringing that kind of attitude to my door because I can guarantee that he would never say that to my face. People like this hide behind technology..I'm old fashion and I believe in respect no matter what!! I have also done his job before!!!

fraudulent bank practices
on 12/02/10 i brought 2 business checks into wells fargo silverton branch for deposit to
business checking account. one check@ $680.00, the other @ $161.89 total: $841.89 for which i gave deposit slip plus 2 checks to teller, she ran them through micka machine then
tapped on her computer keys and a deposit slip spit out. i stapled deposit slip to my yellow deposit copy at bank window. 8 days later in mail i get notice from wells that they took $680.00 from business checking account for "trns. adj." i immediately called bank and was told i never presented check to teller. i KNEW i gave the check, because it was larger than usual check and i saw that check being processed. there is no way teller could mistake 1 check for 2, and a total of deposit @ $841.89 for $161.89. besides, she ran checks through processing in order for deposit slip to spit out. bank is now making me "prove" i gave check, whilst bounced check charges increase daily and i am terrified to deposit any more money. meanwhile i opened 4 investigations, and all i hear is: your deposit receipt from bank is not a valid receipt for what you deposited, or: "they" are investigating it" and branch mgr. says "he" can do nothing, and investigator who called (one out of 4) said she can't do anything only branch mgr. can. he refuses to look at bank video tape or micka machine data, instead telling me 1-5 days, then 10-20 days then 3-5 days. it is now 12.21, and i can't mail out bills which are accumulating fines, late charges and i am more stressed by day.

ONLINE BANKING
THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU START OR CONTINUE USING WELLS FARGO BANK. I was a happy Wachovia customer, how got sold to Wells Fargo Bank. In the last month there has been a new weekly problem with them. My biggest problem is that Wells Fargo has decided that my mother's accounts and my accounts should be lumped all together as one. I complained and told the problem was fixed. Found out it was not when they started taking money for my bills out of my mother's accounts. Again told it fixed and again found it is not. When you call and complain they do not help and after a couple of times REFUSE to talk with the customer instead of fixing problem. Even though I have plenty of money in my accounts Wells Fargo has decided when and how I can spend my money. My son tried to move money on line from his accounts and found that it would not work, he talked to Wells Fargo representatives who told him even though it was available on screen it does not work. A week later he found that Wells Fargo took the money out of his checking, decided it would not work, so put the money back into his savings, causing him a overdraft problem. They then charged his $30 due to their mistake and REFUSED to give him his money back!!! Wells Fargo On-line Banking is a major problem. It is BAD. I can promise you that you need to STAY AWAY FROM WELLS FARGO BANK, if you do not I can promise you that you will regret dealing with Wells Fargo.

Fees and Charged to Disabled Veteran
I am a disable Veteran, honorable discharge after 21 years of service.
I cannot write or keep a bank ledger and was told by the staff at the Wells Fargo branch in Payson, AZ to use Wells Fargo Online to keep track of my accounts. I have been a customer of Wells Fargo since 1996.
On Dec 6, 2010, around 6:30AM, when I checked my online account information my account was in the black. On Dec 7, 2010, around 6:15AM I checked my online account and saw that I was over draft but no charge or fee had been accessed.
On Dec 7, 2010, between 7:00 AM and 11:00AM I made three deposits into my account to more then cover the mistake.
On Dec 7, 2010, at 2:02PM Wells Fargo charged my account an over draft fee of $35.00 even after the corrected deposits were made to fix my mistake.
Between 2:30 and 3:30PM, Dec 7, 2010, every telephone call to Wells Fargo was met with cold and heartless telephone bank employees that refused to remove the $35.00 fee even after it was explained that I was following Wells Fargo’s own directions and advice for keeping track of my account due to my disability.
Wells Fargo Bank offered no compassion or understanding and did not seem to care that if they do not remove this unfair charge that they will loss a long standing customer. Even though the customer tried to correct his own mistake following the direction of the local branch in Payson, Arizona.
I will not bank with a greedy and cold hearted bank and I would ask that other people see how cold hearted Wells Fargo Bank really is and withdraw all their funds from any accounts they have with Wells Fargo or when they make a simple mistake they will witness first hand the cold hearts and lack of compassion I have suffered today.

Conversion
Mine is a personal complaint - they coverted and I immediatly saw an increase in fees and services are worse - not that I completely loved Wachovia, but at least I found their information to be accurate, easy to follow and recieve. Now since they claim Microsoft Money has been closed for use, I have to buy Quicken to transfer my online information? This at a cost to me of almost $50.00 - of which I am certain they are getting a huge benefit! I have my account linked to my Visa for overdraft priledges the cost has doubled, and they transfer even if an item is just held, or a vendor puts a hold. Then I have a surplus and the fees to boot! Not a happy customer, time to find a new bank!
This bank is fprone to fraud as well - already had 2 e-mails since the conversion sent to me asking for personal information - forwarded to Wells Fargo. They did nothing to my knowledge - customers beware!

Bill Pay not Posted
Bill Pay customers at Wells Fargo Bank receiving false balances. Say you have a payment(s) being processed today, it will show Paid in the bill pay field but not posted to your account nor shows in pending = false balance. You spend a little more, 2-5 days later it's posted, skips pending, possibly drawing you negative. Cha Ching... WFB is dancing. Customers need to RUN from this establishment.

Online Bill Pay
I was a long time customer of Wachovia Bank. The most important feature was my flawless online banking experience. As I learn now they were a rare find. You entered your bills to be paid by the date you needed them paid. This kept you from having to guess as to when your payment would leave your account and when the money would make it to the payee. If a paper check needed to be mailed, Wachovia gave you an estimate as to when the payment would be received by the payee. Most important, the money did not leave your account until the check was presented to the bank for payment. The accuracy in which they had the timing was unbelievable. I never had a payee get a mailed check before the payment date I entered.
Now with Wells Fargo, not only do they not get the check in a timely manner; but they can barely get my electronic payments out on time. Why does it take so much longer for payments to reach billers opposed to my old bank? I am just another loyal Wachovia customer looking for a better bank to call home. This is another example of a company buying out a business and failing to do their home work. They should have taken the best of both banks and built one better bank. Instead they just made one big flawed Wells Fargo.
Thanks for letting me vent

Overdraft fees
I made a deposit for $10, 000 at a Wells Fargo Bank at 5:00 PM on Sept 30 - a weekday. There were checks that came through on my account at midnight of the same day. They paid all of the checks but the bank charged me almost $1, 000 in overdraft fees saying that my deosit was past their cut off time. I have requested a copy of my deposit receipt at least 5 times and each time they send me a copy of my check - which has absolutely no stamping of any kind on the front or the back. There is no record on the check that it even went through Wells Fargo Bank. My deposit was made at the actual bank and not at one of the grocery store branches. To this date I have not been able to resolve this issue.

Outrageous Overdraft Fees
I wrote a check and my account was short by $3.05 (some ATM charge I forgot about). Wells Fargo Bank bounced by check AND charged me $35.00 NSF fee. Talk about GREEDY and will not reverse the $35.00 charge.

Scammers
On or about 9/27/10 I called WF bank to register complaint for a SuperTarget debit card charge. [Target in phone call did say they could not find this debit fee going all the way back to 9/10/10]. I placed a 'stop payment' on the charge and at the time WF said there would be a 6 mo. period for this stop pay. Today I discovered that WF put this stop pay on ALL Target debit card purchases, not the one time debit fee. They didn't define in their terminology to include in the statement 'ALL company debit charges' in my conversation that day.' (Target is charging me $500 in NSF fees, but they are being nice enough to reduce some of it.) BUT THE WELLS FARGO BANK REFUSES TO offer assist in reducing NSF fees or budge on changing their terminology. I've done stop pays numerous times over the years an NO BANK has ever done this type of 'blanket stop pay' EVER!!! SO -- fair warning to all Wells Fargo Bank users who need to do a stop payment. Is it any wonder banking industry has lost the American public's trust?
