Inspection & NSF Fees
My Wachovia Checking account now owned by the same Bank I have my Mortgage with-After being denied twice for mortgage modification they have charged my twice in past 3 months for an "Inspection Fee" once leaving a stcker on my door that our home was "Vacant!" So even though Wells Fargo will not modify my 71/2% loan I attempted to get caught up with them by sending a little extra when I could-Mistake! I send them $100 over my minimum and they charged me another inspection fee! Paying this $100 caused by checking account to be overdrawn $10, for which they simply charged me another $75 in NSF Fees- All in all doing business with this Bank cost me $115.75 in fees!
What a rip off.

Excessive charges
Wells Fargo has a bad habit of transferring bogus funds into my account, then removing the amount the amount at a later date throwing off the account and then building up the charges and removing all the transaction history.
My checking account was credited 356 dollars with statement of transferred transaction then later removed plus they removed the whole transaction from the ledger and charged me for up to 400.00 dollars in fees charges. Of all the scandalous ripoff and the nerves to deny it all. I corrected the account to a positive 300. dollars by check and they refused to clear the check for 10 days forbidding me to access the positive amount till then. Horrible Institution.

crooked practices
My house burned down in january 2010. My insurance paid me a sum less than my mortgage. I gave this money to Wells Fargo to pay toward my mortgage. They put it in a "restricted escrow" account and did not apply it to my loan. I told them - repeatedly - that I was getting a new loan to pay off the remaining balance (34000) and to rebuild, therefore I needed that money to go toward the balance not sit in limbo land! They refuse to apply this money until the remaining balance is paid. The new loan will not close until the true balance is reflected. This is a catch 22 that has now made me homeless. I still pay $1225. per month on a loan I truly only owe 34000. on with most of that money going toward interest because I am paying interest on the original amount - even though they have $90000. sitting in limbo! What a scam!! I call their customer service numbers to no avail.

Harassment
I live in California. I had/have a business credit card and line of credit. I am really SHOCKED at how they are treating me! I fell behind due to unemployment and tried to work with them the best I could. They now call me every 20 minutes. I am taking photographs of the calls on my phone screen to prove how many times they are calling me. I no longer intend to even try to work with them. The last call they said I would have to be further behind before they would even try to work with me...but they would continue to call as often as they wished. SO...forget it. I don't even care anymore and they can go to hell. I am actually concerned about getting a job now because I know that they could call me at work. I am not sure what their goal is. If it is to get people to pay, they are making a huge mistake. When this started I had great credit and a good rating. I am demoralized. I am looking at moving from the United States entirely. We treat people very badly here, especially the banks who are posting record profits despite their knowledge of the unemployment situation. California is at 12.6%
The picture is just from the past couple of hours...they start this at 8:00 am everyday of the week!

Wells Fargo Will Steal Your Home

Mortage Loan
Don't expect to do a loan modification with these scammers. They only want to take your house from you and waste your time. They are truly the king of rip-offs. I've been working to save my home for 8 months and they just don't care and won't do a loan remodification. You submit the paperwork and then they do absolutely nothing and then say they need it again and you provide it and they sell your home right out from under your nose. That's it!

Over Draft Fee's
Hi,
My name is Melanie Brody and I live in Rochester MN and Wells Fargo screwed me with there ridiculous over draft fee's! It all started on May 26th. I had checked my banking account and saw that I was over $600 withdrawln. I had noticed that Mayo Clinic had made a mistake and took out my whole clinic bill without my permission which started a whole bunch of OD fee's. I called Mayo and they realized they had made a mistake. Then I called my bank to see if I could get a stop of the fee's cause there was more coming due to the fact it was not my fault. Then a banker named Sherral at the main bank said there is nothing she can do. We just have to wait till they all go threw! So let me say I am a single mom to a 14 month old and it's memorial weekend. Now as the days go on I'm still negative in my account and fee's are still acummulating from the times I used my card before I knew of this problem. It's now Friday and Sherral tells me that it's the holiday weekend so nothing can be done till Tuesday!!! That means no money for over 7 days now!! Tuesday comes and I see my money was returned to me from Mayo but my fee's were still there! I also just got paid which is automatically deposited into my account. Almost half of my paycheck went to my fee's which I did not occur and SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY!!! I call Sherral and she tells me Mayo and her basically made a deal that they remburse my money (which they should do anyways) and that they cleared my bill. I said okay but what about the $300 in fee's?!? She said that it's not a bank error so there's nothing she can do! I got very upset because I have bills to pay, a child to feed, diapers to buy and Wells Fargo just STOLE $300 of my money for something I didn't do!!! What the F!!! She did not care about my situation. She just kept telling me I don't have a Mayo bill anymore. I said I don't care about my bill! I will pay that off in time with small monthly payments which I could afford. I said what Mayo does for me and my bill has nothing to do with the OD fee's. She did not care and left me screwed. Now I can't pay my denist bill and I'm completely broke. My hours have been cut and every dollar counts!!! F Wells Fargo. They don't care about people only stealing there money and I will tell everyone I know my story and try to get them to switch banks!! They stole my money and don't care. If you wanted me as a customer you'd overturn my fee's that I did not occur and try to help me get back on track not basically give me the finger. I believe in karma and Wells Fargo will hopefully go out of buisness and get what they deserve for all the people they screwed! I wonder if I can sue for pain and suffering on this one, hmm..

Overdraft Fees
I just got off the phone with Wells Fargo. They have sent out a notice that they will be instituting the ability to "opt out" of overdraft protection. Over the past year they have soaked me for about $1200 in overdraft fees, so I want to opt out now. The Customer Service Rep Supervisor tells me that there is no way to "opt out" now, the software that does this never allowed for this to happen and you are stuck until the new software is installed for the August 13th roll out.
This tells me that Wells Fargo intentionally built their overdraft software to opt everyone in. The consumer never had the chance to decide whether they wanted to be charged for this service.
Time to look for another bank, preferably a Credit Union.

overdraft fee scam
I agree with everyone else that has had a complaint with Wells Fargo's overdraft fees, I am so fed up with every transaction I make, does not matter when I make it, and if it is pending, before they clear my account, Wells Fargo puts them from greatest amount to least amount .so that if the greatest amount comes in last it will be first in order.and then all the small transactions will reap a fee of $35.00 for being overdrawn on that given day.I have complained to them over and over again, and all they can say is it is for my own good that they do that, and that it is a benefit for me.hmmmmmmmm, they are screwing me over by doing that.they dont have my account handled in the best interest of me.they do it their way regardless how it hurts the customer.we are on unemployment and after they hit my account with 8 overdraft fees because they put the large transaction in first after it came in days and last minute of all the small pending transaction s and left me paying out my entire weekly check from unemployment to cover the overdraft fees.after complaining they stated they had the right to do that and that the fees were applied correctly.I have decided after 18 years of banking with them that I will be taking my accounts to Chase and that seems to be a Bank that will be exactly what I am looking for and all my friends and family that banked with Wells Fargo have also gone to chase, now I know why...Wells Fargo is a bad bank and should be closed.maybe Chase will buy it and turn it into a great bank with their name...do not bank with wells fargo, they will steal your income and will not care if your on the streets because of it...

Re Loan Modification
I have a home loan with wells fargo, for over one year now they've been giving me the run around to modify.I need help because I don't want to loose my house. My sister helps me with my mortgage but wells fargo said their policy is this, that my sister has to show proof of occupancy if she is helping me.In other words they want a bill in my sisters name with my home address. How silly. My credit is already ruined which is what this bank wants. They pretend they are helping homeowners but I would take that with a pinch of salt.I know there are other people with similar problems, can we all come togather and do something before this bank drives us crazy?Email me and we'll chat.

Holds payment without notice
Wells Fargo has started (new to me) holding payments made to your personal line of credit accounts without notice. This first time this occurred was when I made a sizable check payment to payoff my line of credit like I've done in the past. They put a 15 day hold on the payment even thought the check cleared my bank 2 business days later. Their excuse for not notifying me was that by the time I received a mailed notice, the hold would have cleared. Would the letter be coming from the far reaches of Antartica? The most recent occurrence was when I used their website to do a bank to bank payment (like I've done before) and even though the money was taken from my account on the next business day and they confirmed that they received it, I was told that there could be up to a 25 day hold on that payment. 25 days??? How ridiculous is that? And the only reason I found out about this hold is that I called them to see why my payment hadn't increased my available line of credit (learned from the last situation).I've been a customer since 1990, had a line of credit since 1997 and have never had a problem until now. I'm disgusted with Wells Fargo. They made me feel like I'm going to try and rip them off.
