Refusal to honor my Wells Fargo Check
On 3/8/11, we wrote a check from our Wells Fargo Preferred Rate Savings account to transfer money ($20, 000) to our Wells Fargo Crown Classic Checking account. We deposited the Preferred Rate check via the drive through window and received a deposit slip. We proceeded to pay some sizeable bills via the checking account. On 3/12, we received notice that Wells Fargo was not honoring the Preferred Rate check due to "signature irregularities." We immediately went to the bank to meet with a banker to straighten out the problem. The banker Laura Reynolds was very irritated with us for challenging the legitimacy of not allowing us to transfer from our account a to our account b. She got more and more irate, informed us that we would be paying a $12 returned check fee and would be responsible for any bad checks. When I challenged this, not in a raised voice, she threatened to call the police, close my accounts and take "further" actions. This woman should not be a personal banker and Wells Fargo should have to explain how transferring money from one account to another account in the same name is possible fraud! We should not be responsible for any fees and Wells Fargo should have to contact American Express where the check was returned for insufficient to explain their error. I do not have the copies of any checks to attach.

Rude customer service Agent
I called to inquire about a charge that was on my account. Apparently from what the CSR told me, anytime you have an overdraft on your account and you have overdraft protection Wells Fargo will charge you $10.00; even when they Transfer money on your ways2save account. That’s all fine and dandy; the $10 was not the issue. It was the attitude the CSR agent gave me when I inquired. She said and I quote "This is NOT Wachovia, this is Wells Fargo". So after I unleashed the "Dragon" on her I made it abundantly clear that I will discontinue my account there. The last thing you want to do is be a rude CSR and expect me to continue my services there. The famous quote says “you NEVER get a 2nd chance to make a 1ST impression." So Wells Fargo you can go F**K yourself with a cactus!!!
Sincerely
Loyal Wachovia Customer since 2000
