Wells Fargo Financial Reviews

Home Loan
I was negotiating with WF Financial for close to 2 years, I paid the negotiated temporary payments well before due, I have pages of documented log entries of contacts with WF representatives for requests for new financials and updates and kept checking back and was told your loan is being reviewed and later, Loss Mitigation informed us that the Foreclosure department sold our home at an auction, I found out about the sale after the auction, I was not informed at any time they were auctioning the house I was living in and at no time was given any information they were auctioning the house or even any notice of their intent, as a matter fact I thought the negotiations were successful and the loan modification was done, since they had approved my second mortgage for modification! This should not be happening since I was negotiating in good faith with WF and having paid all payments they had asked for and every piece of information and financial documents WF requested for was sent to them, they kept asking for duplicates and paychecks and paystubs over and over again, I filled out all requested financial documents. But apparently this was on a tactic and their aim was never to honor their agreements.

The executive office representative or "specialist" told us they will check but never informed me of their findings, kept telling me they will get back to us next business day. Wellsfargo stole my home and sold it to another company who will flip it and make money on it; I lost my house that I owned for almost 9 years and worked very hard to keep it up and remodeled it with care. I know I am not the only one who has lost a home because of WF they seem to be doing this to others, I am hoping to spread the word so others don't fall for WF scams, so we'll see how that goes, but we are afraid for the next family that is told "don't worry your application is bring reviews" and ends up like me.

Cheaters
I have been fighting with American's Servicing Company for almost a year now, I got behind on my house payment after helping out a family member who had lost her job and was about to lose her home. I wanted to help thinking I had the extra money, I guess I didn't. Than I needed to help my parents. But dealing with ASC was a nightmare always having to deal with someone else when you called them, I must of dealt with 10 different people each one telling me something different each time. One women basically told me I was going to lose my home, if she didn't receive cashiers check by 5/26/08 in the amount of $2, 239.00 she would foreclose on my home. I sent it by UPS it got to her on 5/24/08 and wasn't applied to my account until 5/28/08. I've had to file for Bankruptcy, I've had to fill out 4 Loan Modification applications. ASC/Wells Fargo was the only creditor who filed a Relief Automatic Stay, the judge ruled in their favor because to some law and his hands were tied, but in his judgement stated that ASC/Wells Fargo was to work with me on and give me or my attorney information on a potential Forbearance Agreement, Loan Modification, Refinance Agreement or other Loan Workout/Loss Mitigation Agreement. Well that never happen my attorney called nothing... On my last Loan Modification application I filled out on 04/16/2009 and faxed to Wells Fargo I did hear anything until some Realtor start taping notices on my front door 'Cash for Keys' I let her have it, than had to make nice when my BK attorney found out that my home was sold without no notice to me, nothing post on my door in the paper, and was sold back to Wells Fargo for the amount I stated my home was worth on my 04/16/09 Loan Modification applciation. I have now had to look for a Real Estate Attorney, which I was finally able to find last week and just spoke with him today. Are Mortgage Companies Above the Law are they able to do what they want, they have made me feel like a loser and that I have to explain my whole life story, and they don't have to do anything.

Wells Fargo credit card
Mister Quik submitted a financial form through Wells Fargo when I needed a new breaker box in my house. They approved and also sent me a credit card. Within a few months I started getting false charges on my credit card and I sent a dispute letter to the address they gave me and changed my credit card #. They kept saying they never received my letter disputing the charges and I sent another that they still never received. Finally I went to a Kinkos and faxed it to them. It still took several days before they said they got it. This doesn't make any sense since a fax goes right to them. They took off some of the charges and said the others could not be proven to have not been made by me. I closed my account. However when I got my last statement there were more charges I didn't make to the new card # that had now been closed for over 3 weeks. Charges to an inactive card. They said something about the charges hadn't caught up to me but I never made those charges. This company has horrible security breaches and poor customer service. Wells Fargo is a joke!

Loan Modification Denial
I'm a divorced woman who's managing to keep my head just above water. I get help from no one and all of my income comes from one job (that I'm grateful to have). My I initially got the loan from Wells Fargo they did not offer the consolidated loan, but told me I could re-fi later because it would be available in the near future. Well now that I desparately need the insurance & taxes included, as well as a reduction, I've been informed that I'm not "Default Imminent"!!! What do I have to do? What can I do? I don't want to lose my home, but I can't afford it like this.

Late Fee rip-offs and "Sunday" due dates
Wells Fargo Financial is a rip-off joint...bunch of heartless, soulless shylocks...Get this, my mail payment for $39 made it through the worst blizzard of the decade in our area, and arrived in the Wells Fargo mailbox 2000 miles away in Dallas on Saturday, March 12, 2011. The payment was due Sunday, March 13. SUNDAY!!! It sat in their office over the weekend and was posted to acount on Monday morning, March 14th. Wells Fargo immediately assessed me a late fee. When I saw they had done this, I called their customer service rep in Iowa to explain the snowstorm effect, and to question how she could justify denying me a waiver of the fee under the circumstances. She simply said, sorry sir, but we don't give fee waivers under any circumstance. I then spoke with her supervisor, an arrogant SOB who flatly denied any waiver of fee, and then tried to justify how a payment due date could logically be enforced on a SUNDAY! Now I've been a customer of Wells Fargo for 10 years, and had never run into any situation so absurd as this. But after this debacle, I will cancel all my accounts with Wells fargo and NEVER do business with them or through them again.

Auto loan paid off, title not received
I got a loan on my car from Wells Fargo Financial. Three years after I finished paying it off, I still haven't received the title to the vehicle. They sent me a check because I overpaid on my last payment, so it's obviously paid off, but no title. I go into the DMV, they say I have to go the bank. I went to the bank twice and they finally sent me a document "Lien Satisfied / Title Holder Release" but they didn't sign it or notarize it. Their office is in Philadelphia, PA but they typed Philadelphia, CA on the form. What's up with these people?

I go into the DMV again, hoping it can be taken care of electronically. No, they told me I have to go back to the bank and get it signed and notarized. The only way to find out what I have to do next is to go into the DMV and wait for an hour to talk to someone. Now I have to go back to the bank for the third time and after that back to the DMV again (third time). Then, it will take two weeks for the title to be sent to me from Sacramento.

Is it really so unusual to finish paying off an auto loan? Why is this so hard?

This bank deserves to fail. I sure hope my tax dollars didn't contribute to a bailout for Wells Fargo. They suck.

disqualification ploy for a Mortgage Modification
make a long story short..Wells Fargo Financial has disqualified me from mortgage modification..their reps tell me I've another home mortgage with Wells Fargo Mortgage..which I don't..a Capital One Card..which I don't..an Bank America Card..which I don't..and none of these folks..(and several others I've run down)..know me..my SS #..or can see any of the info Wells Fargo Financial sees..my credit has been frozen for sometime now..This is a ploy to discourage, delay and disqualify me from them having to modify my loan.I owe twice as much as my home is now worth.I have filed a complaint with the BBB..what else can I do? I want to do the right thing. It seems they want me to walk away from this home.

Business Practices
I called to ask about the late fee on my bill. I have automatic bill pay, so there should never be a late fee -- unless they changed due dates without notifying me.
I called "customer service." When the guy refused to reverse the late fee, I asked to speak to a manager. I got a voice mail system.
I called back and got another rep. Told him I got a voice mail.
He said it was their policy to send callers to a voice mail system if they asked for a supervisor.
This is intentional business misconduct, and they're seemingly proud of this "system."

High Interest / OPT OUT Letter
Thinking about getting a Wells Fargo Financial Splash Card? You better do your homework and then some! That 0% interest for 6 months looks good but be sure to pay it off before the six months are up! My nightmare began with the purchase of a pellet stove from a retailer in my area. I purchased about $4300 worth of merchandise from them thinking that I would be able to pay off the balance or close to it in six months. Financial circumstances changed and that interest rate of an outrageous 23.99% turned my balance of $4300 into almost $4900 at the end of the six month period!! These unethical thieves are making almost $600 in interest on a $4300 principal balance! I recently transferred most of the balance to another card with the exception of $610 which was my second largest mistake! Apparently they state that they sent out a change in terms letter advising me that my minimum due would now be based on my highest billed balance if I did not opt out! I received my “opt out” letter in an envelope conveniently identical to my statement. I set it aside thinking it was just my statement. So, on a $610 balance my payments should be about $20 right??? WRONG!!! These thieves want $122.00 a month until the balance is paid off!! They will do nothing to reduce this amount and state that since I failed to opt out then I agreed to the terms! I strongly urge you boycott Wells Fargo like the plague. They will not think twice about ripping you off and I am proof of that!

Avoid like a plague
In 2005 my wife went to the Eye Guys for Lasix Surgery to correct her vision problem. Financing was available for the surgery. It was provided through Well Fargo Financial. The plan was supposed to be free of any finance charges. Which is why we signed up for it. It would appear now that Wells Fargo designed the plan to make sure the principal would not be covered within the 2yr re-payment period. Resulting in our being hit with $956.00 in finance charges.

Which we were advised of when we received this months statement. Needless to say we are Irate and spoke to their customer service 800 number. They told us we should have been reading the fine print. The best they would do is cut the finance charge in half provide we paid the full amount of $1202.00 immediately. This conversation took place on August 15, 2007 the supposed end of the interest free period was August 7th. Since we NEVER missed a payment and had we known, would have gladly paid off the $700 balance rather then pay an additional $956 in unwarranted finance charges. Please take not that it was Wells Fargo who SET UP THE PAYMENTS.
