Wells Fargo Financial Reviews

Harassing hang-up phone calls
For the past few days, my workplace has been receiving phone calls that hang up when you answer--about 5-10 a day. I finally got so fed up with it that I star-sixty-nined the number--1-877-274-5890. "Andy" answered at Wells Fargo Financial. I told him we'd been getting these hang up phone calls from this number; he asked the number and my name. When I told him who I was, he said, "We're not looking for you." and hung up on me!!
I called back and spoke to Andy again. I said "You just hung up on me." He said, "No, we're not looking for you." I said "That's fine, but I need to speak to your supervisor." This guy literally laughed at me and said "Absolutely not." I was stunned, and he started to try to hang up again and I literally yelled into the phone "No no no! This is a business, and I don't know WHO you're looking for, but this is a business phone number and you are harassing us. If you continue to do this, I will call the police. GOOD BYE!" Then I hung up on HIM.
It is incredible to me that a business with as big a name as Wells Fargo doesn't care about the kind of reputation jerks like Andy give them. I certainly won't EVER do business with this company. And I'm not even who they were looking for!

Never again!
I bought some Lazy Boy furniture because it came with an 18 month SAC financed through Wells Fargo. I made payments enough to pay it off in the 18 months. Unfortunately I also used a portion of the "credit line" for other purchases. I made payments enough to pay off the furniture but Wells Fargo applies your payments however they want. I even made a large payment over $1000 which was supposed to be applied against the Lazy Boy account. They applied it to the credit card instead. Then they hit me for the finance charges on the furniture. So the SAC program with them is a bogus scam. Don't Fall For It! Their website allows you to make a payment but you cannot direct it towards what they call a "sub" account. And you can't check your account balance or see how your payments were applied. There also isn't a place on your statement to show that you can direct any over-payment to one account versus the other. I'll never do business with them again. Think maybe I will go to CitiFinancial.

fees
I recently received a letter from Wells Fargo Financial stating that they forgot to charge me a convenience fee in July and August and it would be on my January bill. That is ridiculous and almost six months ago - why now? because of the economy? b.s. If it is true, which I do not believe it is, they should just take the hit for it and not come after the consumers - if they do it to me they are doing it to hundreds of other people - guess how much money they are making off of that one letter alone.

Fradulent Activity
I have two credit card accounts with Wells Fargo that had fairly high ceilings -- $8, 000 and $3, 000 with a 16.5% interest rate. I kept the balance at zero because I only wanted to use the card for emergencies. However, two different Wells Fargo affiliate offices contacted me and suggested that I transfer other high credit card balances and interest rates to the Wells Fargo card because in the long term I would save money. I did just that -- I transfered credit card balances to my Wells Fargo cards. Now one card is maxed-out at $8, 000 and the other card has a balance of $2, 500. In less then two months after I transferred my credit card balances to Wells Fargo, I received letters from Wells Fargo stating that the interest rate increased to 21% for both cards. No wonder banking in this country is a fiasco -- greedy bankers and unethical practices. I have no alternative except to concentrate on paying off these two accounts and closing them as fast as I can. I will never do any banking with Wells Fargo again. I have lost all respect for that corporation.

Ignorant and Disrespectful
I've been having a lot of problems making my mortgage payments and I called in to ask for help. I asked for Matt, the branch manager and when I walked in he was sitting on top of the desk. He never moved off of his place to greet me or anything. He told me to fill an application. I filled it out and he ran my credit report. HE NEVER HELPED ME AT ALL.
I've been trying to get the branch district manager's number and I'm still not able to get it. Now I know how banks go out of business. Because of customer service employees with no experience at all. Isn't the customer always right?

Abusive and harrassing phone calls
I have been a long time customer of Wells Fargo having had a second mortgage and a loan at different times. They offered me a credit card which I have paid on time for 4 years. Due to an emergency, I was late with my payment. The calls started the day after the missed payment. I answered and told them I would pay on the 19th when my Social Security check posts. They laughed and told me they would call me every day. They have and I told them the same. On my 10th day past due and I called to see if I could arrange a plan as the daily 8:30 am & 5:30 pm calls 7 days a week were driving me crazy. The Rep offered me a plan where the payment would be more than the regular payment. I could not agree because I can't afford it. I am now filing complaints with any agency I can. If you have been a Wells Fargo Customer don't think they will fairly work with you if you fall behind. If you have a WF credit card get rid of it.

Wells Fargo Financial
I recently had a bad experience with Wells Fargo and when complaining to two different supervisors, I was told, "We don't care". Of course they don't care! I am an individual, and they can deal with me, alone. But if all us disgruntled customers unite and organize, I am sure we can get them to care. I will be sending a hard copy check by regular mail for .10 (TEN CENTS), to be posted to my Wells Fargo account. I will send a check each 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, and 30th of the month, each and every month. This will cost me $3.06 per month, which I feel is a small price to pay to get Wells Fargo to "care". I will bend the envelope, and add an explanation letter as to why that person is having to manually post a ten cent payment. Can you imagine what will happen if ALL us disgruntled customers were to do the same? Say, one million checks in one day! We'd swamp their mailroom and I bet Wells Fargo would soon begin to care. As far as I know, this is completely legal. Shucks, you're just trying to pay down your loan! Please join me in this campaign. Wells Fargo needs to learn to, "CARE".

Late fees
WELLS FARGO SUCKS - they love to collect late fees and their customer service department does not care if they lose customers - they would rather collect and additional $29 from you than keep you as a loyal customer!!! I had made 3 payments within 30 days and was charged a late fee because the 2nd payment made was 2 days before the beginning of the next billing cycle and the 3rd payment was made 1 day after the due date. Just because my 2nd payment did not hit in the next billing cycle they charged me $29 and really didn't care that I was making multiple payments within the 30 day period. What company would punish you for actually paying your bill??? WELLS FARGO that is who - I will never finance anything with them ever again!!! That will be the last $29 they will ever get from me. Trust me my husband has had the same issues, no one wants to do business with them!!!

Canceled Contract after 2 years
BBB,
I bought carpet through Academy Carpet. They went through Wells Fargo for financing. I did ask (Dave the salesman for the carpet) did I have to go through Wells Fargo. He replied thats who they get their financing from. At that time I had a 760 credit score. The contract stated o% down for 1 year.At the time it was a good interest rate. I'd never had problems til now.
Randy Rankins said he did not agree with the contract. He took everydime which I'd put towards the principal, he put it on finance fee. He's helping ruin my credit, like its not bad enough already. I looked at my credit report he has it as a write off, its not a write off.
BBB, the reason I keep filing is because their isn't a lawyer that wants to represent me. I have others to file and I know the truth is on my side.(several) I won't go down without even trying. I have to try to help myself because no one else will. Usually they will take you to court, so I was already for that, still ready. I've never heard just write it off and I was almost through paying for it. They call everyday, all day and they never mention the carpet or the 2 money drafts which I was paying off. So I have to get things straight, before they get anything from me. Vanessa Choice 232-4302-591-4302hm

Phone calls to family members!
This company insists on harassing family members by calling three times a day. I am not involved in this case. They insist on using unidentifiable Phone connections, so even I can't complain to their superiors.
